When are they going to make a car where a goat can sit safely? He’s earned it—he has a CDL, and that’s not all. In the same fanny pack he carries samples from the Mind Games artisan collection, and a Trojan or two, because safety never goes out of style. The better halves know they’re okay because they can smell that Malle wafting out the window, leaving a scent cloud so thick you could sign your name in it. Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever gotten blown while going 130 mph chased by a trooper... whoa! Whoa! Let me rephrase: Now I don’t know if anyone’s ever blown by a trooper going 130 mph with a trailer hitched up—that puppy is practically off the ground as we try to outrun the 5-0 (oink oink, the sacred call of their ancestors). When we finally thought we were home free, taking a deep breath, who pulls up the driveway? A cop astride a swan, eyes glowing with bergamot absolue. I don’t know if anyone’s ever gotten caught driving drunk and naked with a miniature pony behind the wheel, reciting poetry about aldehydes. Wasn’t my finest night. As the cell door shut, I said, “How did you find us?” He said, “I just followed the scent—Cologne Indélébile by Frederic Malle led me right to y’all.” He spritzed himself, paused, and whispered, ‘It’s giving Roman barnyard chic.’ Now what made it worse is when I could hear all the police officers petting my goat, asking if it had ever been to the baths. Someone asked him if he was a model with Diptyque; another swore she saw him in a Le Labo campaign. One cop even asked if he’d share his goat’s secret to perfect udder hydration. Last time I pick up a pony escort. Though to be fair, the pony left me a five-star review on Yelp and a scented candle shaped like guilt that melted like shame. Well, that’s enough of my rant! Personal business: bad. Fragrance reviews like this: good.”

I love this one too much! First of all, don't be fooled - yes, the name contains "Cologne", but it is by no means a cologne! It's an EDP, which is supposed to have the qualities of an EDC - light, airy, easy to wear, and that sums up this fragrance pretty well. This fragrance is fairly linear. It's a classic neroli-centered fragrance that's simply nice, fresh and friendly. It's very soft and calm, the citrus isn't really "in your face", it's very subtle and although it is a citrus based fragrance, it's not as pungent as notes like lemon or bergamot. The neroli is blended beautifully with the musk, creating a beautiful, soft, friendly and calm fragrance. I could imagine people getting calm after wearing this because it's very comforting. I also find it to have a "cooling" effect - if you've ever used one of those water sprays for your skin in summer, you know what I mean. This feels the same. The sprayer is set to spray quite a lot of this, so when you use it, you feel refreshed and nice on a hot summer day. Lasting power is decent, it is a citrus in the end, so don't expect anything crazy, but it does last significantly longer than other freshies I've tried (and used), especially for a neroli based fragrance this is quite impressive! I got a fantastic deal on this (50% off), so this was obviously a no brainer to me. If you're thinking about a purchase for full price, I'd say that it is worth it, considering Neroli Portofino or Le Labo Neroli 36 will not be any cheaper. Yes, you could probably find a Neroli based cheapie but if you're into this stuff, it does have a very beautiful way of making you feel great in summer that I didn't get with other citrus based fragrances. Yes - this is nothing special in the end and it has been done many, many times before but it is one of the cheapest FM offerings and I do think that it's on the upper level of what's on the current Neroli market. I'm very glad to have this in my collection.

I do like this fragrance, a lot. Yes, it's not overly unique, especially for a Malle, but it is well executed and, unlike many other fragrances in this genre, lasts a surprisingly long time. As other's have noted, I also find the top notes slightly challenging. It's certainly a case of less is more. The opening of this fragrance is very green to my nose but all of this soon settles down once the floral aspects of the fragrance balance with the citrus. It is heavy on the white musk, perhaps too much so for some but I like the clean aspects of this fragrance. Similar to the ubiquitous Neroli Portofino but without the warming amber, this fragrance is better caught on the wind than smelling up close. The bitterness of neroli is wonderfully balanced with the orange blossom and musk to provide a light, fresh, linen clean feel. Indeed, I get wafts of clean, white, floral-citrus throughout the day which leaves me feeling happy. Overall, a great fragrance of the traditional cologne variety with good performance and nicely presented.

I can understand the dislike button being pushed a lot here but let's give it a real chance. Alex's review below was excellent, and spot on about the stunning salty effect. In the opening I get a zesty citrus with neroli and bergamot playing well together. There is also a slight lemon bitterness hidden in the back. You cannot escape a gentle creaminess coming from the florals. It is not too strong but compliments the fresh opening quite well. Have I smelt such an opening before? Of course. As this dries the gentle and sweet florals combine with a stunning musk note that also has a salty aura included. The musky nature is deceptively sexy and gives a fresh scent a deeper personality. All in all, this is not a revolutionary scent, but an addition to a small club of 'fresher' scents that exudes quality and can become a great every day scent for both sexes in the warmer months. Longevity was around 5/6 hours with reasonable projection. I like this a lot.

Cologne Indelebile - No Nonsense cologne A new release from the house of Frederic Malle by Dominique Ropion, this one doesn't offer anything new to the theme, and doesn't try to do anything different either. But what it does is, it offers an everlasting aroma that few colognes can truly boast of. 10-15 hours from a cologne? This one did it. Projection was low and mediocre, but it held its own in terms of persistence and longevity. Crispy clean Neroli and Orange blossom with a good dose of clean musk, very minimalistic in its approach, it sticks to the basics and offers the comfort of long lasting cleanliness, something one might want for a long day at work. Nothing special, nothing new - But, It just works! Price point is debatable and subjective, but for me, this one does its job well.

I received my 10ml decant of Cologne Indelebile from the post office, opened the parcel in the way back home and sprayed it on my arm. Suddenly I sank in the memories of a city that I visited on 2010, Shiraz. Shiraz is famous for its juices. Juices and their gardens that they are full of bitter orange trees. There are some stores that only sell lemon juice, neroli juice, pussy willow juice, etc. I know it may seem weird, but Cologne Indelebile exactly reminded me one of those shops. It reminded me the moment that my parents and I were there, sitting on a table and enjoying our glass of juice. Seven years is passed. I'm thousands kilometer away from that mysterious city and country .... How can I not LOVE this fragrance?

Yes, it's pricey. Yes, on the surface it's not as unique as some other Malle fragrances. But I really enjoy Cologne Indelebile. It's a great office scent that isn't obtrusive, but is also different from other often-recommended office scents. The clean, white musk just feels so comforting to me, like fresh laundry all day. I can understand why other people would give it a pass but it's one of my favorite fragrances from Malle. It doesn't project much but the situations I wear it in, I don't want it to project. And it does last. It's the kind of scent that is appropriate for the office and for a date after work as well. Totally unisex.

Neroli portofino but made niche. This may not feel that niche for some people because it does not smell like piss, but in essence, the quality of the ingredients, the craftsmenship and the artistic view truly makes this a niche fragrance. The opening may seem generic but it's photorealistic neroli smell with a citrus background, while the dry down has an unique touch to it by smelling like freshly ironed shirts. Longevity is really good for a natural neroli scent, might say one of the best.

If your complaint about this fragrance is that it's "too cologne-y" then ok it can't be helped (like saying a burger is to simple because all it has is tomato cheese , sauce and a really nice patty). This is a good version of a traditional EDC and modernises with ALOT of white musk. This stuff is borderline laundry detergent but the neroli and orange blossom is enough to push it into the pleasantly soapy department. The longevity is good (7-9 hrs) but the projection is average. 7.5/10

Citrus + neroli + orange blossom that in evolution persists the note of orange blossom with musk added. It's not original, but well blended. Reminds me fleurs d'oranger (Serge Lutens). It has moderate projection with high longevity (8-10 h on my skin). For orange blossom fans is a good option, in addition also to match with summer. In my case I love both orange blossom note as the work of this fabulous perfumiste which is Dominique Ropion. Worth a try. 3,5/5 stars

It is not just like one of many others neroli based fragrances. Cologne Indelebile is special due to high quality ingredients and great performances. Mix of orange blossom, neroli and musk is just amazing! Obviously a fresh scent but i rather call it creamy than soapy, is presented without any sharp nuances (like Neroli Portofino) Blended to perfection with extremly good stayn power which is quite unusual for this type of scent. Hedonistic summer fragrance.

Recommend to try this in the very hot months. Get started now fresh citrus .. ..then become softer with notes of neroli and narcissus That gives a touch of freshness to the scent. It ends with white musk, which gives warmth and embracing all other notes. Smell very good, fresh gives me happiness, it is very bright, and musky! Suitable for the summer! If Bergamote 22 had a prominent stemmy neroli facet, it would be Cologne Indelebile. Sure, because of this neroli note, I can understand easy comparisons to a Neroli Portofino or 4711 (though within the Frederic Malle collection, Sale Gosse is much closer to either aforementioned scents), but Cologne Indelebile is a bit woodier than both of these scents and is also woodier than you would prob imagine just from the notes listed.

This is incredible for what it offers. You don’t need a fragrance to have monstrous projection, 24h lasting power or smell like amber, or spices, or oud with huge complexity to receive high remarks. If you want a nice fragrance for spring and summer this is it. Sure it’s similar to TF’s Neroli Portofino but this is smoother with more oomph, and I would go for this every single time.

Beautiful! It's similar to Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino in both beauty and refinement. It does not seem to last as long, however; I find that it fades away in about an hour. I wish it had more staying power. It's a softer scent and more calming where Neroli Portofino is more energizing. Because of this, I find it makes a good day or evening fragrance.

This is the shit! So delicious, just as when I was little and was tempted to taste fruity shower gels, I want to devour this perfume. However it's not a gourmand, but it is the tastiest, juiciest citrus I've come across, with the most stellar performance (I have 2016 batch). Possibly now my favourite Malle, although it's a tough call to make.

Cologne Indelebile (Permanent Cologne) the name of the perfume says it all the most perfect neroli out there i can see a few people complaining about the price for a simple fragrance but sometimes simplicity is all what is required, the blend oozes class if Neroli Portofino is George Clooney then Cologne Indelebile is Alain Delon. 9/10.

This is something special to me. Smells like chlorine in the best way. Think hotel pool and hot pavement during the middle of summer, and then make it fuzzier and more stuffy because you’re a kid and you can barely remember what the exact memory was. Very nostalgic, and subtle. Lasts fine, 6-7 hours with light projection.

The only fragrance of this scent profile that lasts long and projects. So sexy -the musk works wonders in this. If I could change anything, I would take out the orange citrus note or remove it a bit, but that's because I don't like orange personally. Regardless, this is quickly becoming a top 5 favorite for me.

I must have an odd physiology, as many fragrances smell completely different on me than on others. On me, this smells like a clean white shirt. It’s a very soft linen fragrance with a dusty dry-down. No orange, white flowers, musk or anything else. Go figure. I kinda love it, especially at the office.

A pick-me-up citrusy openig, soft calming florals in the middle, perfectly rounded off with a quality musk at the end. Decent projection og very good longivety. Evolves on the skin. Perfect for summer and totally unisex! 7,5 out of 10 Edit: this has become very special to me and is now a 9 out of 10.

My now two favorite fragrances are this, and Cedrat 37 from Le Labo. That one smells extremely refined, and this one is a bit more coarse. They both are super similar in their genres, but are different from each other. Both use musks in the same masterful way, at least with my skin chemistry.

4711 on steroids and very well executed. Beautiful classic cologne from Dominique Ropion but a bit overpriced (it's just a cologne and EPFM is expensive anyway). Still it's way better than Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino for sure.

Amazing scent! This lasted maybe 2 hours and was GONE by hour 3. I cannot justify the price with the poor longevity.

A cologne is a cologne...is a cologne. Dominique Ropion's version for Frederic Malle therefore isn't about reinterpretation - what would be the point? - but about a brilliant perfumer's expression of a classic on his own terms. In a way, Cologne Indélébile is an evolution of one of his earlier works for the house, Geranium Pour Monsieur. For that fragrance he morphed an initial overdose of bracing mint into a base of warm musks, the transformation so startling that the scent didn't change tack so much as switch personalities. That effect isn't so dramatic here, but Cologne Indélébile does play out like three fragrances in one. The first is the Eau de Cologne you've smelled hundreds of times before, only amped up to the power of ten. It's formidable, a rampant lemon-led citrus taking on a monster neroli/orange blossom hybrid that is astringent, metallic and sweet all at once. Phase two is the sort-of-but-not-really marine aquatic. As per Alex1984's review, there's a saltiness that comes to the fore, a coalescence of sweat from sunbathing and then taking a dip in the ocean to cool off. It's not tropical in any way but the connection is there to be made just the same. Lastly come the musks, which instead of being of the soapy/white variety (as would seem to fit the brief of a cologne), sees Ropion flipping expectations on its head by delivering something more woody, smoky and dirty (though not anaimalic). So where does this leave Cologne Indélébile? It's probably not a fragrance that's ever going to leave you in raptures because, well, I refer you back to my opening line. The transitions might even be construed as oddly jarring for such a safe, traditional scent. But I would submit the following: enjoy Cologne Indélébile for what it is, rather than for what it's not, and you may well end up being more enthused over time. Extremely good longevity; on me it lasted from morning 'til dusk.

Cologne Indélébile is a really good citrus cologne, nicely executed with ingredients of the highest quality. It opens with a sharp zesty blast of lemon that is presently joined by tart, bitter bergamot. It is bracingly fresh and uplifting, albeit predictable - here reminiscent of 4711. The citrus accord is rounded out by neroli and petitgrain, giving a hint of green freshness to the zesty lemon and bergamot. The neroli, a note I love, becomes dominant as it develops. The narcissus emerges as it develops - heady, polleny and slightly waxy, yet remaining subtle. It is such an unusual and inspired addition to a citrus cologne. With the neroli, it creates a powdery floral accord, beautifully balancing the citric freshness. CD mellows as it develops further, with musky notes softening its edges. It fades to a musky neroli skin scent after several hours. Sillage and longevity are both moderate; far from being « indélébile », but CD has better lasting power than cheaper citrus colognes. However, my sample of CD is recent, and I would believe the reformulation rumours. It is fresh, soapy and comforting, and smells simple yet expensive. Subtle, fuss-free elegance, CD is an easy-to-wear spring/summer cologne, ideal for daily use. Unisex, but maybe feminine-leaning thanks to the florals, CD is worth a try. Probably overpriced for what it is in its current iteration however. 3/5.

I sampled this in the FM boutique today and it is pretty much what I was expecting: a lasting fragrance in the style of a fresh-smelling cologne. There is the initial citric burst with bergamot being the most prominent to my nose. The prominent floral notes are present and pretty potent as well. Neroli and orange blossom are the stars here. There is supposedly a touch of petitgrain which lends a slightly earthy smell. There is little in the way of bitterness or screechy soapiness like I find in, say, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. I would say the projection is noticeable and it was still going strong after 3 hours where the musk became somewhat apparent. I had to wash it off before the full drydown because the sillage was not conducive to my work environment. I think it's a well done authentic citrus/orange blossom fragrance in the way Lys Medditerane is a well done realistic lily. I wouldn't wear either, however, as I just can't do intense white florals and fresh is not all that appealing to me for fragrance in general. If you like fresh and white florals, it's worth a sniff. There are similar veined fragrances out there but this smells like a high quality version of that theme.

White floral fragrance type, similar to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino (yes, it's lasts longer and has better projection) light and fresh style. The central axis are neroli and orange blossom surrounded by citrus resting under a cloud of sheer musks. The fragrance is well done and the aroma is resulton. However: With the amount of magnificent works that has Malle, you should not do this kind of as commercial and facile (not going with his philosophy) fragrances, even trying to imitate the style Ford (negative). The qualities are medium-high, but Malle often works with excellent qualities. The feeling of floral nuances though not bad, by parties feel quite synthetic (another negative). All this leaves me somewhat pensive, especially by buying the brand Estee Lauder. They have already influenced their managers in certain decisions merchandising and sales policies for this company ?? Surely yes. If Indelebile Cologne is an example of this new policy, it better get better because they are not on the right track. Summary: Make a nerolí of dubious quality with musk (with prices shuffles Malle) does not seem to me an exercise neither very original nor very artistic. Rating: 5

Cologne Indelibe opens really nicely with a lemon and bergamot blaston top of a gentle floral background. Around 30 minutes in there's a touch of orange blossom to make a different citrus-floral than in the opening. There's a very gently projection and the perfume is reminiscent of a slightly warmer, brighter and better version of Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino. It becomes a classic neroli cologne. There is also a touch of Le Couvent Des Minimes's 'Aqua Minimes' about this too. Some three hours in it's really fading. There's a neroli cologne with a floral musk and a few wisps of sharper citrus. Five hours in and you really have to dig your nose into your skin to smell it. There's about six or seven hours duration as a meaningful perfume. Cologne Indelible seems better suited to spring and summer and daytime and it's very nice. I'd take it over TF Neroli Portofino but both are very expensive and I can't quite justify the price tag to myself for a second bottle. But for anyone looking for a classic cologne, it has to be a must be on the sample list.

As a fan of citrus fragrances, this one is a scent I really enjoy. Opens up with a blast or Lemon/Bergamot and then settles into a straight Neroli and Orange blossom note that anchors this fragrance. It isn't a super complex scent that takes you on a wild ride, but rather linear and predictable, which I don't find to be an issue. The real trick is that Malle pulled off this cologne fragrance with very good longevity (not just relative to other colognes or citrus EdTs) and very natural smelling components. The downside to this fragrance is definitely its price and the comparable alternative(s). While it is not identical, Indelebile is very similar to Pen's Castile, which is significantly less expensive even if the Malle is at the lowest retail price available. Castile doesn't have the same longevity, but for me, the price is what would have me order Castile over this any day of the week. If the price was similar, my opinion may be different. Overall, this fragrance is a success in every way I can think of.

Frederic Malle Cologne Indelebile (2015) - futuristic cologne - #dominiqueropion creates this amazing concept of an eau de cologne thats lasts for a long time. Starts with a traditional cologne recipe: Bergamot, Petitgrain, Orange, Lemon, Orange flower and Neroli. Then it starts getting interesting. First, the Neroli and Orange blossom turns slightly lactonic almost resembling Jasmine. I also get something animalic and green, most probably, Narcissus! Now the best part, it’s entire journey is then supported by well-weaved musks. This is where Mr. Ropion took sometime and it shows. White musks that time travel, going back in time to echo the eau de cologne accord at the start and going into the future to share what musks can smell like. It also lasts on my skin well into the day until I bathe. Brilliant!

An indelible version of the ever-fresh and elegant neroli-citrus cologne... This perfume sounded like a dream! I was all the more disappointed. I don't know if this suffered a reformulation, but it lasts at most 1 hour on me, even on clothes. The scent itself starts off sharp and the neroli is of the best quality. But soon the citruses disappear, and there is this one note - must be the narcissus - which sets it apart from similar fragrances but I could do without. Everytime I tried to fall in love, but now I finished my 100ml and will move on. This is a serious, polished take on the classic cologne - it just never made my heart skip a beat. It did not once evoke memories of holidays, Italy and sunshine. Others do. Onto them!

“Cologne indélébile” was my first snif on niche fragrances. I started my journey with this brand. At the time I loved only hesperid scents and this creation of Dominique Ropion was perfect for me. It was a mind blowing for me. It was not aggressive, well executed, very fresh and was a happy scent in my morning. Also it remembered me a good “souvenir” of my childhood with my grandmother. She wore a cologne like that and “Cologne indélébile” was very close of her fragrance. Sadly now I don’t wear this anymore, with my journey I open more scents families, and this one now is too simple for me (and for the price). I will resell it soon.

Very nice fragrance with above average performance. We all know the citrus/neroli combination is plagued with piss-poor performance. This one has been blessed with really good performance probably because of the musk that is used that makes it a bit more hard hitting. Be under no illusion though, this isn't going to be an Ombre Nomade or FM the Moon in terms of performance, it's definitely better than the likes of Neroli Portofino and it's brother Forte. It's got this neroli and is backed up with a citrus accord. It's great stuff which I think can be worn all year round, but would really shine in the high heat in the summer.

Frederic Malle or rather Dominique Ropion does classical Guerlain style EdC, but with his own twist, a luxurious floral musky base. The top note I detect is that delicate bergamot becomes lavender sparkle, that ethyllinalool trick typical to old school EdCs, that sits right between bergamot and lavender, but it enters a 'pale' lemon petitgrain core with a hefty base entering musky territory to extend the fresh top and enrich it with a very nice transparent radiant tenacity. Definitely one of the best classic EdC recreations with ridiculous quality and expert blending.

Wow, the initial millisecond opening was almost exactly like his other masterpiece Carnal Flower. But then it quickly diverges, Cologne Indelible toward a sweet citrus and Carnal Flower toward a complex and surprisingly unsweet floral. But here's the thing I can't get over. Cologne Indelible strongly reminds me of Pez, the candy with the famous dispensers! Otherwise, it's again a complex and unpredictable gorgeous scent with its twists and turns. I prefer Carnal Flower so will not purchase Cologne Indelible, but I'm glad to have gotten a sample.

I tried this one by accident (i also was unaware of its existence) and after the first spray i was sure I had smelled another very similar fragrance before. It was only after I reached for fragrantica's help that I realised Neroli Portofino is the one responsible for this unmistakable comparison. I like the neroli smell, thus I enjoy this well made but rather short-lived fragrance. 7.5/10

Turbo 4711 Quite good,fresh,clean ,manly ,with moderate sillage and duration .5 hours,thats it . First and last bottle .Ropion wise I will send my money the direction of masterpieces like Portrait (Dont know why they added the "of a Lady " .Its absolutely unisex ),Promise and The Night .Those three are just unreal .I havent found better from any creator of the perfume art .
