Amber Saffron

Not sure what the person below is talking about ive had this fragrance since march of xx25 and i will say this is truly not a weak fragrance but also not a bomb theres a really decent silage too it so not sure if they are kittyfooting with the sprays they use or if they are going nose blind to the fragrance, i will say when i first got this it was a dose of saffron then the barnyard oud is serious for that 1hr to an hr and a half as the ctrus and fruity notes comes in with amber in the background. I will say im usally a heavy sprayer but with amber saffron i go for about 7 sprays just due to the oud... worn this to work and for a quick trip to the store i like too call this my poopy perfume but I honestly love it there’s something sexy about it really alluring to me even though i tell everyone it makes me feel like i was hugging farm cows all day for that 1hr before the citrus If i was to describe this perfume in my opinion it would be a beautiful saffron followed by farm duties after and then what i like to call a New shoe type of smell with slight notes of citrus. I have gotten compliments with this fragrance surprisingly to most but also on a trip to the store had some kids walking a good distance behind me say some one smell like sh** caca and i just laughed and walked faster i say with this perfume ur nose needs to smell oud before or learn to appreciate it this is the oud that scares people from wearing it in my mind. 9/10 would buy again and gatekeep idc this is for the fragrance lovers not the people only wearing something for compliments so niche I guess but i love it

Oh yes absolutely - this is marvelous. Truly niche. I usually put my foot behind whenever Neeb (Aromatix) hypes up something cause at this point it usually feels like a stunt and a overhype but this time he was correct. Still waiting for it to open up further - but if this is smelling this quality and elevated at first spray then i guess im in for an even bigger treat. For the profile: imagine the most refined elevated airy version of Oud for Greatness (minus the patchouli) and add some florals. Then turn the atomic-bomb texture way down and replace the westernized oud for a more legit one akin to hindi/cambodi and put it on the base. I cant possibly imagine what people are going into when they say this smells like poop - but again maybe i have become too familiar with real oud. So please get this only accordingly to your previous fragrance journey. TLDR: Sublime airy organic saffron (suede/spicy, non metallic) + floral accord (carnation+jasmine) + real oud base. Performance is not huge but it wouldnt make sense for this profile, to be really honest. Maybe it will still gain traction with oxigenation. Ill edit this as time goes by, but i applaud French Avenue for this.

This fragrance reminds me of the green leather jacket my mom used to have when I was a kid back in the early 90s It has a beautiful, luxurious scent, but it's incredibly subtle. That's actually what makes it so interesting. It's almost like a soft blend of leather and rose that melts into your natural skin scent. Sometimes you wonder if you're even wearing a fragrance, yet it stays that way for hours and hours without really changing. I barely get any oud from it. To my nose, it's much more about the leather and the rose. It's a great winter fragrance for someone who wants elegance without shouting for attention.

Not everyone will enjoy this, that's obvious. But I do understand the barnyard smell that many people are finding. However on my skin I get a very nice metallic naturalistic saffron with a balsamic and oud base, with the fruity notes in the opening. It may be because i've had my bottle when the fragrance first released or it could be a new batch thing where people are having this issue, I may not buy another bottle if newer batches aren't up to par. But for my bottle 10/10 not many fragrances like it imo

Man i just got this and WOW. I am amazed on how good this fragrance is! The opening your hit with a cardboard type smell but once you let it dry down, it turns into a fruity, slightly oudy and the saffron is very noticeable and great. Slightly medicinal but damn this fragrance is really unique and has that niche quality. Still to test its longevity and projection but im sure it will be good! 9.3/10 for me!

THIS SHIT IS NUTS 💀 Never smelled anything like this before. Natural grade A saffron with those fruity notes, with some soft soft oud. Slightly medicinal but in such a good way. Like get outta here! This is stright up niche quality, and that’s without mentioning the amazing presentation and bottle. Never in my life would I ever belive this was by fragrance world and for only 55$

If you have ever stepped on dog shit before you know exactly what this smells like. Theres a metallic aspect that reminds me a New York City manhole cover. It's like you wiped the dogshit off your leather boot on a manhole cover, used a short path distillation apparatus to molecularly distill the compounds then used those juices to make a perfume. Its terrible and I love it!

Very much lives up to its name, a beautiful deep amber and very strong saffron fragrance. Very niche and high quality. Deep, warm and spicy. Seems simple but it’s actually quite subtly complex. This is a top notch fragrance. Smells like something Tom Ford would put out for over £300, it’s sophisticated and rich, smells very expensive. Highly recommended!

French Avenue...what can I say 🤷♂️ Good for the money. For me is Acqua Di Parma’s Zafferano but with a lot of synthetic oud. Wearable in cold days. Descent 3/5

The fragrance is unique and captivating, standing out from others. Saffron is the dominant note, and I found the opening more appealing than the heart and base of the scent. There’s a delightful "sting" from the cloves that adds to its charm. While the initial impression is very enticing, the scent lasts around 10 minutes. However, it has good longevity overall, lasting at least four hours on my skin and lingering on clothing for quite some time. The design of the perfume bottle and its packaging shows great attention to detail.

Very well blended typical saffron-leather smell, but with short time (~1-2 min) harsh start. Patience!!! Do not push blotter in the nose! By me it is the same profile like Oud for Greatness,but in light and more elegant form,so easy wearable. Ladys, pay attention! I think this unisex perfume was created for jour noses.

For me it's a compliment getter. Masculine, fresh, minty, spicy, rosy, oudy of course a lot of saffron. Just perfect in my opinion. I think that 'metallic' note is coming from mint, but keep in mind that it dries down to a prominent musky ambery base

This is a great blend, but for me the deep fruitiness brings to mind a very masculine man.

I love saffron in my food, but as a perfume, it feels odd. This is a very high-quality saffron perfume. It has a decent projection and is rich and warm, but a bit too much for me, and I prefer not to smell like my food. I also noticed a strong presence of oud in the dry down, which is animalic and unpleasant to me. This isn’t a safe blind buy and definitely requires a very acquired taste to appreciate. The scent profile is very masculine, intensely spicy, and distinctly animalic.

So, it's not my taste as I like female leaning gourmands, but I received this one for testing. Straight out of the box, the opening oud was a bit strong, but after a few minutes it had a nice dry down. I wouldn't use it, but I don't mind if my boyfriend uses it.

I don't like to criticize if I can't praise, but at least I want to draw attention to the fact that even if it's for a small amount of money, don't throw it away unless you want a bottle that is beautiful. This is a perfume that some people praise to the heavens, and some are amazed that this is called a perfume. A real Arabic perfume, or something that is only found in those perfumes. I've already encountered this scent in a mass of Middle Eastern perfumes, and they were immediately thrown away.

I like similar profiles, but this one is a miss. I don’t find it absolutely disgusting, but I also wouldn’t call it pleasant, rather interesting. It’s definitely not suited for a blind buy and could be offensive even to experienced noses. It might even be confused with the smell of feces, or a hospital full of very sick people. Also, usually similar profiles have enormous performance, but this one is not the case.

Stinks. Smells like a farm barn that got converted into a dentist/doctors office.

DO NOT BLIND BUY I REPEAT DO NOT BLIND BUY This fragrance is by FAR the single worst thing I have ever smelled in my entire life. Perhaps this is because my nose is not mature, but my friends were quite literally puking (1 threw up) after smelling this scent. The best way I can describe it is imagine a smell of poo on some baby wipes. That’s it. That’s the exact way it smells. Please do not buy this without smelling it first, it is genuinely the worst thing I have ever smelled. Disgusting.

I've been wearing this for 2 days now and what I can tell you is you have to like the smell of Saffron to appreciate this, what I'll also say is it contains that skanky brainyard animal fecal oud. It's very noticeable the first 10mins but once you let it do it's thing, that's skankiness calms down and the saffron and amber pushes through. I don't this is safe as a blind buy and not for the typical western audience. It's not the woody oud you may be use to and if your not familiar with the other types of puds then sit this one out because it may give you a shock. It's not for everyone and that's ok. I know there's alot of hype around this and it is a beautiful fragrance no doubt but I was expecting it to smell similar to external oud by lattafa and it's nothing like that. It's the oud from bin sheikh Ahmed Al maghribi and the saffron from the real natural expensive spice store. Arabs, south east Asians and Muslim black can pull this off, may seem a little odd wearing this if your white in my opinion and I'm half white myself but it's not a western fragrance imo.

The opening is challenging for certain but after 10-15 mins the opulent scent profile comes out. A scent which is slightly warm soft deep, oriental, hint of spice but without sweetness. A dark fragrance that smells faintly smoky. Almost like a smokers leather jacket. It kinda has that dried down vibe of the OG La Yuqawam from Rasasi. I do not own this and I am glad because I just cant see myself reaching for this. Not a safe blind buy and not a daily driver. This one is complex and I recommend you try it out to appreciate how it develops. 6.5/10 but only tested it once so take it with a grain of salt.

So I've tried this fragrance some time ago and I was heavily put off by the opening because it smelt like baby wipes and fecal matter but for some reason I'm coming back to this fragrance. I do agree with a lot of these reviews that the opening is challenging because of the poop like smell but the dry down is really nice. this is NOT a safe blind buy. Try it in store or sample it because it's either you enjoy it or hate it

This opens with a strong blast making people think it’s a high performance perfume just like any other fragrance world or French avenue perfumes. It dims in an hour and almost disappears in 2 hours. I did a nose blind test, no I’m not nose blinded because of its strength. Fragrance world in general much lower quality than other Middle Eastern brands.

I had ordered this and started reading reviews and immediately regretted my decision it just came and right out the box this stuff smells absolutely amazing it's like how I picture the middle eastern should smell....just super high quality it's not azzure aoud beast mode but it's pretty close

Testing this today and it is very good quality. Smells sophisticated and elegant with maturity. Only problem is the performance. It is a skin scent after 2 hours. And it is a Extrait de Parfum.

This last even after a tough bath It really last buh I'm not too much of saffron monster

Really strong saffron heavy scent. I want to let go of my bottle.
