Fierte

This smells fucking fantastic! It skips right to Babycat's heart notes and dry down, leaving out the original scent's opening. I don't think they're distinguishable after 5 minutes. Maybe Fierte is around 3% sweeter than Babycat, but that's it. Fierte performs admirably, producing a pleasant smell bubble. I prefer Fierte to the original, believe it or not. I don't like the spice bomb of Babycats opening and this skips that while having much better performance. Not to mention the hugeeeee price difference. Babycat did not perform well for me, and it was no longer detectable on my skin after 30 minutes. I don't know why, it was really odd. Fierte, on the other hand, hits it out of the park. I'm extremely satisfied with the aroma of fierte. It's a beast for winter and it's very cozy while kind of formal at the same time. It's a very unisex scent but I feel Fierte is a little bit feminine leaning while Babycat was a tad bit masculine leaning. The only flaw with this perfume is the bottle and packaging. The cap, which is extremely heavy, comes undone in almost every box, scratching and destroying everything. And there are scratches on the cap and the top of my bottle. The fragrance world needs to reconsider their bottle and packaging. Update: I have since came across Nayel Queen and it's much better in terms of projection and longevity and it smells overall more similar to the original, even though it doesn't have the balsamic deeeeep vanilla suede that Fierte does so well. But if you want more performance and a closer to the original smell, I'd recommend Nayel Queen over Fierte.

Nose Note #959 I haven't yet tried Babycat. Even a sample is very expensive, but I had Rossendo Mateau #5 and yes, very similar, but where #5 just smelled like play-doh this offers ultimately the same experience, but making it more dark-vanillic. This vanilla boost makes all the difference, all the difference... This suddenly becomes so dark, alluring and addictive. Oh, yess... Just almost perfect. Besides this comparison to play-doh I don't know how to describe it (I'm apparently one of very few people that think this smells like play-doh by the way, other people just find it sweet, warm, cashmere-like). There are a ton of vanilla dominant perfumes, but this stands out a lot. So you just have to try it to know for yourself. I don't know if it's 100% blindbuy safe, but honestly I don't know who wouldn't like the sillage of this. A person can get used to wearing almost any perfume. The ones around you will probably appreciate this one, so, yeah. To me this is definately slightly more feminine. Very strong, super nicely done in terms of performance. Projection is not crazy, but it has everything you could expect from a luxury brand honestly. Except this costs like $30... 9/10, well, isn't this DNA a masterpiece?

Never smell Babycat, hard to find from where I live. I have a decant of Rifaaqat by Paris Corner, really like it and about to purchase the full bottle. Then I met Fierte, my friend sent a sample to me and said "you need to try this". Oh my God!! This is Rifaaqat on the next level! The love at first sniff! I bought this instead of Rifaaqat. The price is 3 times more expensive than Rifaaqat in my country. (still a cheapie anyway.) Rifaaqat to me, gives 'dry' feeling. Dry leather, dry wood, dry spice and dry vanilla pods. A bolder fragrance compare to Fierte. Fierte is smokier, smells like incense and vanilla with a dash of spice and sweetness. (I can't smell leather in this one.) Very well blended, very smooth, ticks all the boxes for me. - nice presentation (love the fox!) ✔️ - wonderful scent ✔️ - great projection ✔️ - great longevity ✔️ - reasonable price ✔️ - compliments getter ✔️ Projects like crazy for the first couple of hours then become the scent bubble around you. Lasts on skin for 12+ hrs. and lasts like forever on cloths. Signature scent worthy. Only downside I could think of is... it's gonna be suffocating and unbearable scent during scorching heat of summer in my country.

I'm not a big gourmand perfume or sweet perfume lover, but there is something so attractive to me about a spicy vanilla scent. I came across YSL Babaycat online and immediately learnt how expensive and hard to find it is. I managed to get a decanted sample from a South African decanting service and instantly fell in love!! I immediately wanted to purchase a big bottle but it is always out of stock at the only store in my country that sells it! And... THE PRICE. Anywho, I then found out about dupes and Rifaaqat by Paris Corner. Bought it and yuck... People talk about the "burnt rubber" smell in Babycat and Rifaaqat, didn't get that with Babycat but Rifaaqat has this gross sharp almost sour top note that leans incredibly masculine and puts me off the perfume completely. The dry down is nice. All in all I wasn't happy at all so I continued by search for a better dupe and here comes Fierte. My word.... It's nearly a 1:1 it's that good. Peppery, spicy flowing into a soft and sweet vanilla. As some of the other reviews said, it may be even better than Babycat! I am so so impressed and will most certainly keep buying this fragrance.

I honestly think that this is the perfect vanilla fragrance. My wife however does not like it because she says it's too sweet but for me this is the perfect balance of sweet vanilla and ambery darkness with a little bit of anchoring from woodiness in the base. I have never smelled YSL Babycat but if it smells anything like this or better then it's definitely full-bottle-worthy. Performance and projection are incredible 12 to 24 hours on clothes and 8 to 12 hours on skin even though my skin eats up fragrances. This is nothing to be played with. For me and this is a very personal rating I give this one a 10 out of 10 for presentation performance sent profile and complexity because it's not just some vanilla fragrance it has depth and it has character.

O my word! This made my eyes roll back into my head. I had a decant off Babycat which I adored, but I could never get my hands on a full bottle. I’ve been on the hunt for a dupe ever since. I have Eau de Audacity and Rifaqaat, but Fierte blows them both out of the water. It is the closest dupe of Babycat I’ve ever had my nose on. It might be a little bit sweeter. It is a banger straight off the bat. It is a spicy, smoky, sexy vanilla. It is smooth and well blended. The bottle is stunning. The cap is heavy. Fantastic quality. 10/10. Don’t even think about it. If you love Babycat - just get Fierte.

This is the best dupe of all time. I don't care if you like this DNA, the quality is niche. I have tried almost every popular dupe and this is the highest quality one. It's not an exact 1:1 but it's a strong masculine vanilla with more vanilla than the original making it BETTER. Yes, this is more cozy and BETTER than Babycat. I am a vanilla lover & this is beautiful. The suede & saffron is blended with the vanilla, the blend is truly niche level. I love it & if you love vanilla this is a must buy. A must buy.

It’s very pleasant to me, but unfortunately I’m reminded of a movie theater and I can’t figure out why. Edit: this has since grown on me and become very addicting. Still getting movie theater vibes, and still don’t know why, but I don’t even care anymore. It’s a bit linear in that the opening and drydown are the same, but it lasts quite a while and smells fantastic.

It is my absolutely favorite incense-tobacco vanilla. Not heavy at all. Perfectly blended. Smells like it was created from the most expensive ingredients (as opposed to Rifaaqat which is very cheap giving). I do not have comparison to Babycat, but at this point I don't care. Fierte is perfection. I wear it comfortably as a woman, definitely unisex.

Wow, warm spicy vanilla bomb. I normally go for fresh, fruity fragrances and this is definitely not in this category but it has something that has completely captivated me. I really like it. This lasts days on clothes and I do mean days. 24 hours on skin for me with 6 hours of projection. By far my strongest fragrance.

I've had it since December of 2024 and Yesterday in the middle of July 2025, decided to spray once because I missed it! Very bad decision! It has matured into the exact scent of Babycat but 5 times stronger and I couldn't get it off my skin for 24 hours. Keep this for winter please.

This is better than BabyCat and Rifaqaat.... and I love Rifaqaat.Fierte is better in all areas, smell, sweetness, amount of incense, projection, bottle (I find it cute and not obnoxious like the bottle for Sehr). If you love this DNA, please do try this one out.

Beautiful smoky vanilla with some sweetness of the vanilla . I now need to smell baby cat to do a comparison but from what I see online this one is better and I’m happy to have in my collection. This one was love at first sniff for sure !👌🏽

I bought this perfume after watching some Youtube reviews. It is an amazing perfume I have not tried the OG Babycat. But Fierte is a really good perfume. I kept on smelling my hand!!. I think anyone will be happy with the purchase.

Smoky, spicy, and sweet opening. A strong, but very smooth vanilla throughout. Smells fantastic and lasts a long time. Would advise against blind buying this if you haven't smelled Babycat or a similar profile. 9/10

Little bit softer and a slightly better blended than Rifaaqat Paris Corner. Final verdict: slightly superior version to Rifaaqat which makes it number 1 alternative to Babycat YSL (which i havent tried btw)

I agree with everyone, very smooth, projects a bit better than rifaqaat but rifaqaat is a bit spicier, edgier and bolder.

Finally tested a sample of the OG. Let me tell you that FA nailed it with Fierte. So damn close. Astonishing.

Exactly: identical to Acqualina Pink sugar Black🖤 Wich one I decluttered years ago. Someone wrote this somewhere else and today when I've received the sample of Fierté when I smelled immediately I thought " is something I alread had" Then I remember the comment then I 👍🏻 agree. Is good but to wear where I live is complicated due to the majority of hot weather throughout the whole year. I would like to be able to have it. Other person comment that remember being in luxurious leather couch, I also agre, although the incense note is more prominent. It leans to be more male scent, I think fits better on man.

Update 01/19/25 Full wear today, my opinion is the same but in the far dry down it become more warm vanilla and has more sweetness in it. --- Open with burn tyres then change to smoky vanilla soft suede in less than 2 mins. It's very smooth, very gentle, comfy cozy. I wish this has a little more sweetness in it. This remind me of crazy expensive suede sofa that I relaxing sit in rental house near the beach while I'm on holiday. Super comfy sofa that feel and smell so good to the point I don't want to go the the beach lol.

The incense note is a little bit too strong, it reminds me of reliqvia by sorcinelli and I'm not a big fan of it. The vanilla is incredible, same as althair. I thought it was similar to mbcb since they have almost the same notes but they are completely different fragrances. If u love incense and tobacco with a creamy vanilla this is a nice one for u. If they had nerfed incense it would have been one of the best fragrances ever. Vote: 8

Needs maceration for sure. Thus is a fragrance where i got nose blind after few minutes and thought that i got bad bottle, but no, orders smelled it from miles. Its very spicy, leaning more masculine. But as a goth lover it's just perfect. And bottle is perfection itself. You won't regret buying. If you love mpre feminine is silky, then go with Fierte Luna, the white one.

Really very close to Babycat! 😻 But Fierte is a little bit smoother and of course not so thick than Babycat.

Give this time if you've just bought this fragrance. I bought this in April (first review further down). My initial reaction on the first spray was disappointment. All I could smell was burnt rubber and metal - not pleasant at all. I tried this again after sitting for 5 months and omg, this is love. I will say the first 15 mins or so, smell faintly like rubber and then morphs into the most beautiful vanilla in the dry down. It's such a warm, sultry, deeply intoxicating scent. I don't know how this can get better, but I'm interested in seeing how it further develops in time.

This was a blind buy after reading the reviews and this has been a huge disappointment. All I can smell is burned rubber, no other notes. I was hoping the rubber smell would dissipate and the other notes would come through. Nope.

Good smell but its so strong i can feel it in my cheekbones. overwhelming asf after 1 hour.

Smells like a mop and a burnt fuse in the same time. The dry down is a bit better, but the mop note just sticks into my nose and could make me puke. You, whoever you are and wherever you are, feel free to like this, but ffs stay away from other people

My introduction to the Babycat DNA was Paris Corner Rifaaqat, which took me a while to warm up to, but it ended up being a perfect accompaniment for a snowy trip to Sweden. Afterwards I was between upgrading my 15ml bottle to 85ml, or trying out a different take on the DNA. While Fierte was over double the price of Rifaaqat for a slightly smaller bottle, its beautiful presentation made it very difficult to resist. My bottle of Fierte has only been used for a week so it's likely undergoing maturation, but I still feel confident saying it's more well-blended than Rifaaqat. Comparing the two, Fierte is less harsh with a sweeter vanilla base, while Rifaaqat has a more distinct peppery top note and the vanilla is slightly sharper. They both seem to project equally as strong, just in different ways, as Fierte has a smoother, thicker drydown. Based purely on the juice and price point, I still think that Rifaaqat is undoubtedly the better-value purchase. However, considering you're unlikely to run through a full bottle quickly due to the potency of this DNA, there's an argument to be made for quality over quantity. Fierte's box and bottle design also look fantastic (I love the front latch design of the box especially), which should also be a factor in your consideration. Overall, I would only say this is blind-buy safe if you're already familiar with the Babycat DNA and you want something beautiful to adorn your shelf with. Otherwise, try a decant or seek out a good deal on Rifaaqat before buying to familiarize yourself with the DNA.

Okay. Listen. I have the original Babycat, almost empty. I bought Rifiqaat. Smells too much like that creamy synthetic vanilla in Eclaire, not a spot-on dupe. Someone said P*O*P*P*E*R*S from Breathtaking Gems was closer, so I bought it. Too woody, too powdery. So finally I bought Fierte, and while it isn't a perfect match, it is closer than all of the above by a landslide. It is kind of missing that rubber tourniquet smell that I love so much, but the peppery, spicy, warm, sophisticated vanilla is spot-on. The people out there that didn't care for the rubber smell (not me!) Would probably even say Fierte is better than Babycat. The only dupe I have been wanting to try that I haven't gotten a nose on yet is Tomcat by Alexandria, so maybe that one is one-to-one, but I have a sensitive nose, nothing ever smells quite right to me, but this gives me the same vibe, so I'm stoked. PS- The bottle weighs like a billion pounds, and I've heard that they commonly damage the bottle in transit, so I highly suggest paying the 1.50 if you get it from Jomashop, just in case, or pay the extra 10$ and get it from Amazon (even with the 1.50 it's cheaper on Jomashop, fyi).

Finally got fierte, and wow did it not disappoint. It does smell incredibly close to Babycat. It is also closer than rifaqaat. It is also better than rifaqaat. I never knew how different it was until I sprayed them and compared them side by side. Rifaqaat does indeed have this Elemi note, it smells balsamic and amber-y. Again, you wouldn’t notice this until smelling them side by side, however it is definitely apparent. That is not present with fierte. Fierte genuinely makes having Babycat redundant. With rifaqaat I’d say it’s around 85-90% and with fierte it’s about 98%... it really is that close. Performance is also the same if not better than Babycat.

Wow 10/10. First time I sprayed this I was lucky I didn’t put my 2ml tester in the bin..it was a dark rubber like scent, what a mess! So I thought.. 1month later and I sprayed this by accident thinking it was another tester.. wow.. smells like Cocoa butter! So smooth! I had to check if it was the same tester.. Reminds me of liquid brun in the drydown but even smoother and no cinnamon! Liquid brun is harsh on my nostrils but this is so smooth! No harsh spice just a toned down smooth incense, coconut and vanila that lasts and is not cloying! Love it.. Plus I can breath whilst having this on which is a bonus! Need to buy a 80ml Bottle, this is class!

This will be an unpopular take, but I'll die on this hill: Rifaaqat is better than Fierte. Fierte isn’t bad, but it doesn’t have the nuance, richness, or throw that Rifaaqat has. Someone else somewhere said this kinda smelled "carpetty" to them, and now I've seen that, I can't disagree. It’s been called the smoother of the two, but I don’t see that, either. It’s just less complex. And it smells carpetty. I also made the same movie theatre connection @GtheH made. Spot on.

Give it time let it masturbate for about 10 years then it's very good 🤣 no seriously I have not tried this fragrance but the people commenting saying you need to leave the fragrance for 5 months then it smells good like are these people serious 🤣 these people that think a fragrance changes and gets better are absolutely lunatics plus who wants to buy a fragrance and spray it 5 months later 🤣😂 like I want to spray the fragrance and use it when I buy it not 10 years later

Couldn't find any reviews online so I took a risk buying it... and glad I did! Presentation on point, scent starts off spicy and woody, and the spice slowly transitions into a nice blended woody vanilla scent. First night I sprayed it on my shirt I went to bed and it was there next morning still! I hope projection improves with maceration. I smelled Babycat (YSL) once and forgot how it is, but if my memory is correct this is a good twist on it

I have this and Babycat and Rifaaqat. I can't tell any difference. It's maybe just me of course, but I can't compare. The bottle is huge, the heaviest cap I've got in my 200+ collection, so woopdeedoo it looks great but that's not why I buy fragrance. It's the same smell. Buy the Rifaaqat for $20 and no one will never, ever know as it's the OG in plain.

I got this a week ago and was very excited to try it.... But I don’t even get much of a smell except a slight peppery note, no saffron, vanilla, tobacco or anything. I’m wondering if it’s a fake cos it lasts about 5 minutes on my skin. I’m sooo disappointed having wasted €50. I’ll leave it I’m a cupboard to mature🤔maybe it’ll change🙄

This is love in a bottle. I can't stop smelling me in the air! Very warm, cozy scent. Fluffy vanilla with hints of suede and tobacco, I am really in love. It's like a smoother babycat to me. In my opinion babycat has one off putting note that this one doesn't have, so, I love this even more. I can recommend this 100%.

I feel like im some sort of rebellious nun when i wear this. The one that escapes at night with the man who delivers the groceries but comes back in time for her sunrise prayers. It's weird. I dont like it but i wanna wear it. Dont hate me for this review and dont ask questions... I grew up Catholic.

Definitely incense in the opening. Sweet vanilla comes through pretty soon after. It smells a bit like my ex who had dreads and wore frankincense oil :) that is to say, it smells like the incense/oils that they sell on 125th street in Harlem, in a soft-vanilla way.

Recently acquired a boxed sample of this and initially fell in love with it. However I’ve since sprayed and all I’m getting is burnt rubber tires and a whole bunch of nausea. I do not know what has happened but dang what a bummer

Imagine thinking you know anything about fragrance but have zero clue about the maceration process. What a joke of a man. Anyhow- it's lovely and many of these Arabic Fragrances do need a bit of time to develop.

Finally!!!! Baby cat with some sweetness! I am in love with this and have gotten sooooo many fragrances wearing Fietere. And the bottle is a literal work of art.
