Firestorm Extrait

This is a sneaky good fragrance. I had some hesitant thoughts about the purchase of this awesomely presented fragrance and I wasn’t disappointed. Sure, it’s not a 1:1 of “The World According to Arthur” due to the Apple accord (nor was I expecting it to be a 1:1) for the $48 price tag, but DAMN this fragrance is still great! I’ve seen mixed reviews online (not that there are many available via YT or Fragrantica) and wasn’t sure what to expect apon first sprays and boy, was I pleasantly surprised to find it smoother and not as sweet as expected, which is a great in my opinion. I had to come back and actually take a second look at the notes to try to pinpoint what accords were so enticing about this fragrance and It’s the apple and frankincense combo. Very unique and blended beautifully. Now, in my personal opinion (*which is just an opinion and doesn’t mean anything) this was a great blind buy & I can see myself wearing it year-round even in on the rare cooler summer nights if I went light on sprays. I would not recommend for temps over 85°F in dry climate and not over 75°F if you’re in a humid climate. If your an adult and use “spray discretion” it won’t be cloying or overpowering if also applied generously with common sense. Silage is within an arms reach until the late mid. I think this would be office appropriate (but let’s be honest, there’s better fragrances for such a stale environment) and it’s a fragrance you could pretty much wear anywhere if chosen, but it will definitely shine as a cold weather & dressed up occasion fragrance. This review is also just the first day of wear: No maturation has taken place so I assume this fragrance will only get smoother and longer lasting as it ages. I’m into hour four of wearing it and it’s still humming along in the middle. If you’re on the fence about buying this just pull the trigger. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. 8.5/10 and hoping for a 9.2/10 by the start of fall.

Nose Note #819 People have complained that this is far away from the OG. I haven't tried it. But this is so special. I loved it from the first sniff. It's not like a 10/10, but this is a colder days no-brainer for me. Just so easy to wear, but maybe it's just me. Nothing about it puts me off, I can overspray it all I want. I love the notes of myrrh and incense, and here's some unique myrrh. The combo with myrrh-vanilla-red apple is amazing and one of a kind. This is quite a naturalistic sweet red apple with a strong incense base - go find something similar... I find this to be very inoffensive, and it's all the more better because it's a strong perfume. I love when a perfume gives me whiffs of it for hours, and Firestorm is one of them, so it won me over from the first wearing - I'm a sucker for very strong fragrances. Firestorm is not a beast, but it's confidently strong. Kind of a lazy strong. I get subtle minty nuance from time to time. It's a perfume that really has sides to it, but it's not overly complex. I think it's perfectly unisex. I'm really sorry for the people that don't like it. Right now it has a 3.99 rating. I think it deserves 4.1 at least. 9/10, such an uplifting happy winter scent

I got a decant today and like the scent very much. For sure it still need to mature, as it is very new there in the shop from where I got it, so I will try it again in a couple of weeks. But as for now I can feel for sure the species, olibdanum and sweetnes of an apple. I was afraid that the perfume is way too masculine (as I am a woman), but now I see that it is rather unisex. If you like church vibes, you'll like it for sure. I'm fascinated with this scent and for sure will buy the whole bottle, especially that is so cute. Curious, if the other perfume from that line (thunder) is unisex as well.

It smells like an apple flavored hookah. It's smoky and spicy with a bit of sweetness coming from apple and vanilla. It’s a very slept-on fragrance, in my opinion. It deserves more hype and love. I don’t think it’s fair to judge this fragrance based on the popular scent people think it’s trying to copy; it’s actually very different, and intentionally so. This is a twist on the OG, and it’s beautiful and more wearable than the OG. Definitely, more people need to pick this one up.

This is not a dupe of Penhaligon Arthur. There's no insence note in this fragrance which makes it more wearable (I'm more prone to wear this). Initially, you get a blast of red apple, it's very fresh, then it dries down into a slight tobacco and vanilla scent (very similar to PDM Althair or TF Tobacco Vanilla). Don't be fooled by the bottle, literally only the bottle is a dupe :) Overall, more wearable, fresh than Penhaligon Arthur

This fragrance is really good! The thing is, if you have Angel’s Share by Kilian, Bara by Adyan or Khamrah Qahwa by Lattafa Perfumes you don’t need this one. BTW, do not expect to smell closer to the Penhaligons. Of course, in the perfume universe everything is subjective to your nose.

Ok, this is actually pretty good, I honestly didn’t expect this level from a clone house. It smells really well put together and performs nicely. That said, it’s not a true clone of what it claims to be. I’m rating it as a standalone fragrance and on those terms, it’s very decent!

I expected it to be worse based on the comments. The main notes are apple, cardamom, and vanilla. However, I feel that the scent here lacks the depth it should have. Not intentionally, but rather as if French Avenue aimed for depth, yet it did not reach the intended level due to relatively lower material quality compared to the original. This might change after maceration, but it is clear that the scent feels somewhat shallow, whereas it should be deep. This is my main impression. For example, notes like myrrh, which is a dark balsamic resinous note, along with cardamom and vanilla, are naturally deep by nature. When they come across as muted, it suggests that the issue lies in the quality of the materials. Again, this may improve after maceration. Still, it is not as bad as the comments suggest. 6.9/10 If the depth improves after maceration, I expect it could reach 8.4/10

i just got 8/2025 batch. It has a very strange scent, but its sillage and longevity have been acceptable so far. I smell the notes of jujube and frankincense and myrrh more than the other notes. It's created a strange combination; definitely do not blind buy. wait for maturation. coming back.

Can't say how good of a clone it is, but it's a very pleasant smell. Opening is very minty, but the overall tone gets warmer really quickly, with mirrh, reminding me a bit of Boss Absolu, dominating. Projection could be better, but I'd still give it 7/10 - good for autumn and winter.

Very fruity and sweet, smells like jam for me , nice bottle, price also good.

Yet another “fragrance” pushed by influencers and, after this I will never buy on any influencer reels or YouTube reviews. The first spray is sweet but then ? A mess of a fragrance. I’ve heard it said it’s a penhalligons dupe but not remotely close to it. This has a distinct and unpleasant stink and I’m more than disappointed by it, even at the price it seks for. The bottle I have can go to whomever at postage only price. French avenue ( fragrace world) have made some decent fragrances but this is not one of them. It’s a terrible mess and yet another influencers would have us believe is something it’s not. I would not gift this to anyone, that how poorly I think of it. By far and away the worst of any of the FA fragrances I’ve bought. A scrubber, left it for 2 months , thinking it would change but no different. Awful and off putting garbage.

I just smelt this today in the Fragrance World store, and I hate to say it was very disappointing, I’m a fan of The world According to Arthur’s scent profile and was the first penhaligons I smelt, this dupe is not close at all, it’s really smoky and isn’t smooth on skin. At first I thought it was just the opening but as I let it dry down on my skin it still maintained that smokiness, very disappointing icl.

I got a decant. Can't judge the similarity to the original. Unfortunately this smells very similar to MH sceptre amazonite, which i honestly hate. This supposedly is a sweet scent but I cannot perceive it, unless fragrantika messed up with my decant. Hard pass.

There are clones that are essentially 1:1 to niche scents, and make the original hard to justify purchasing. There are clones that are close'ish/resemble their target, and are acceptable for their price. And then there are clones like this, that are not even close. French Avenue has some 1:1's that are incredible. This is not one of them. This is an insult to sell to the public with the obvious insinuation that it's an Arthur alternative. Save your money on this one, seriously. Anybody who says this is good is rating it on subjective smell (which is pleasant at best) and likely has minimal experience with the real deal. I've gone through a full bottle of Arthur, and was optimistic about this release, but was incredibly disappointed with how it turned out. If you want the real deal, this is not even close to a viable alternative.

I think I’m anosmic to some ingredients they use. To me, this is very, very faint and I only get tobacco and incense. Reminiscent of Maison Alhambra Your Touch Tobacco + incense. I get zero similarity to PDM Althair or TF Tobacco Vanille. Again, must be my nose. For reference, I’m also partially anosmic to Kayali Wedding Silk Santal, and 95% anosmic to G&B Silky Woods (both are vanilla scents). I have clones of those that I can smell a bit better (different ingredients probably) but still partially anosmic.

I really like this. The apple is prominent and the other notes provide amazing support. Its a bit jammy, slightly smoky with light woods. It's strong compared to what the brand usually puts out and I could wear this out at night or in cool weather.

Who is upvoting that it smells similar to Arthur. Smells nothing like it. It’s an amber and apple fragrance with no similarity to the bottle it’s imitating

To me this smells reminiscent of a watered down version of Angham from Oman Luxury. Less depth and warmth but with that same apple note.

I’m my opinion this smelled very similar to mashrabya. I would of bought it but already own mashrabya so it would be redundant.
