Francique 107.9

I bought Francique 107.9 as a blind buy and, honestly, I am very happy with it. The opening was quite alcohol-heavy on my skin, and I wasn't impressed at first. However, after about 30 minutes the fragrance started to settle and reveal its true character. What emerged was a beautiful blend of sweet cherry and warm vanilla, smooth and comforting without becoming overly sugary. Cherry notes can be tricky on my skin. They often turn sour or artificial, but this one worked surprisingly well. The cherry stayed pleasant and blended seamlessly with the creamy vanilla, creating a scent that feels seductive, warm, sweet, and undeniably sexy. The fragrance sits fairly close to the skin and never becomes loud. In fact, I wish the projection were stronger. It is more of a skin scent than a room-filler, but the scent itself is gorgeous. It reminds me slightly of a luxurious body lotion in the best possible way—soft, rounded, cozy, and very easy to wear. The presentation deserves a mention as well. Both the bottle and the box look fantastic and feel much more expensive than the price suggests. Considering the quality, I think this is an excellent value for money. I also have a feeling this fragrance will benefit from some time to mature and develop further. Even now, though, it smells wonderful on my skin. I see it working best during spring and autumn when its warm sweetness can really shine. Overall, this was a very successful blind buy for me. Despite the modest projection, I would happily purchase it again. 8/10 score from me.

I have not smelled the OG so this review is completely based on my thought of this perfume as a blind buy. I bought it 3 months ago just based on the notes and ratings. I have quite a variable collection so I keep looking for interesting fragrances on a budget. And straight out of the box, this was a bomb. First lemme tell you, it's a very unique and fun fragrance. It gives me dark, sexy, independent, dangerous woman or man, because this description and scent suits both genders. It's a powdery scent with an intoxicating cherry note which I didnt recognize as cherry at first. The heliothrope gives it a nice sweetness. Orange blossom and bergamot bring a hint of airiness. And the spiciness is behind the pepper note. But the main part is the base which it lays on - tonka, vanilla and musk. It is a creamy vanilla, almondy tonka all wrapped into a clean musk. So UNIQUE! Even though it's not a pure vanilla scent, it's one of the most prominent vanilla note in all the fragrances I own. That's the best part about the fragrance along with the complexity and how unique it is. 8.9/10

Ok rouge smoking in general wasn't something that impressed me when I first got into fragrances I thought it was a little weak, a little strange smelling.. I thought it could have used more cherry and more depth and thickness etc.. but the more I smelled it later on I realized how special this is there's nothing quite like it.. and airiness and the light cherry in it without being overpowering is a beautiful thing to me in a sea of heavy Cherry boozy fragrances.. and francique nails this sent profile beautifully. I don't see the point of getting the OG when this exists, I will just get this one! It will look nice beside francique 63.55 my lovely gris Chanel dupe and favorite one, which is also beautiful and airy as well.

Nose Note #348 I loved it a lot at first. In the end - this is some very special DNA. More than anything it reminds me of some bubblegum. Cherry is not like Lost Cherry or anywhere realistic, but I guess it plays some role in this bubblegum accord. To me it's more about some particular flower that's often put in womens perfumes. Maybe that the heliotrope - powdery, a little bit like iris. And it's sweet, but not overly sweet. I loved it at first, but after time I realised that this is not a daily fragrance at all and it's definately leaning feminine. Too much for my taste. Even my wife got tired of it. It's not a daily wear... As a special occasion fragrance + performance + DNA = 8/10

Just received this. First spray was very meh, not terribly strong or lasting until I followed the practice that was recommended to me by an Arabic friend. I put down an oily base (no scent skin balm). Completely different scenario. Immediately, the Tonka, cherry, heliotrope and frankincense came out to play. Almondy goodness from this one that really smells much more expensive than it is. I can imagine it being unisex although it leans feminine because of the heliotrope. An amazing find for the price! There's a gorgeous nutmeg scent that perks through, this is just like sitting outside of a French patisserie..... In Spring....

No cherry but it smells like a fruitcake. With warm dried fruits. Still really good but straight of the box I can’t smell it for more then 20 seconds from spraying. Not even nose blind I just spray it on a tester strip leave it for less than a minute and boom it’s gone. Edit: Ok I couldn't smell anything at first but after I while I start to smell it, perhaps something in the opening I'm sensitive to? Its a nice fruity and slightly dark, not nearly as much as I would've expected from the name of the original. Just a nice warm fruity scent with a barely noticeable boozy accord somewhere in there.

Firts impression: Love love love it. Not too much cherry or too candy like, just a hint. Smells like the juice colour, ambery, tonka, slightly sweet, tiny bit of playdough. From the 'reminds me of' section I have only smelled Vanderbilt (I tried to like it, decluttered it) and they do share something, maybe the ambery feel which to me is a little vintage smelling (in francique also), but they are not that similar so don't be afraid if you didn't like Vanderbilt.

You will love it if you are fan of gothic, syrupy, thick and indiscrete perfumes. I can distinct cherry, amber, vanilla and something very grounding (either tonka or labdanum). It is not fresh, on the opposite - very very sweet - but NOT young or girly. Feminine leaning for my nose, but I would get instantly wet if I’d smell it on a man. Yes it does have first 5 seconds of alcohol smell but it evaporates fast, for the price won’t complain.

Powdered vanilla-cherry milk, gets muskier and a touch more floral as it settles but it never loses its powdery effect. I have yet to get my nose on Rouge Smoking, but if it smells similar/identical I'd definitely be interested. Reminds me of Pi and Le Bain Joop!, only with cherry. Great in cool/cold weather, so all seasons except summer because it'd be much too hot then. Lasts quite long and even longer on clothes.

Although I think it tends to be a more feminine scent, I use it quite a bit and get compliments all the time. There is something unique about this perfume that I can't explain. I don't have the original, but I went into a perfume store to smell it specifically to compare it to this perfume, and there's no simpler way to say it: the match is totally there. And the price is just a joke compared to the quality.

Got a sample for bdk rouge smoking and I got this... gotta say, excellent 1:1 dupe! What a fragrance! Love it. Opens with that burst of cherry and citrus from the bergamonth but you also sense that warm amber, musk and vanilla almost immediately after. The heliotrope and tonka are also there. It’s definitely smoky! Like a powdery smoked cherry! This is such a lovely scent for a man or woman.

This is a beautiful soft sweet vanilla/cherry fragrance that warmly radiates from the skin. It may not appear to have great projection, but those around you can definitely smell it. I was initially quite disappointed because I could hardly smell it on my skin. However, though it is subtle, others around me immediately commented on the fragrance, even hours after application.

This is very very close to Rouge Smoking and I am so pleased. However, as with Rouge Smoking, I do need to be in the mood for it - otherwise it risks overwhelming my brain with spice. It’s more spice than cherry, I’d say. There’s an attitude here that you don’t get with the happy, sweet cherries of the world. If you know and love RS - this is the one. Get it.

An exact dupe of Rouge Smoking, I can't believe that this isn't hyped up on Social Media, the best selling cherry fragrances in my collection so far. It smells like a cherry-vanilla ice cream with some spices in the background. LOVE it!!! and will be rocking this throughout the year. In the summer, I would reserve it for nights only though.

Its unreal how close this is to the OG BDK Rouge Smoking. Its only $20 vs $150 which is the price tag i paid for Rouge Smoking I might even dare to say that it perform a bit better than Rouge Smoking. How? Rouge Smoking still win in how smooth the blend is tho.

Sweet with right amount of sweet balsamic punch in the opening, & green grainy smells in the dry down. the downside is the performance, because its not loud and weak longevity. But its cheap, you can overspray & respray it anytime you want :D

Still pretty weak but the opening reminded me of that cherry coke flavour, but a flat version of the soda with any fizziness. So I layered it with Paris Corners Cherry Cola and I actually get an amazing fizzy rich smell. This is a banger

Wearing this one today after having it for a few months as it is perfect for the fall and winter months This is not a beast by any means. It’s a soft gentle Smokey cherry vanilla that’s subtle but sweet and sexy.

The cherry is so elegant, the opening smells like rootbeer but in a goodway, the dry down feels so Classy.. not so offensive, safe for the office in my opinion great bargain for the price vs quality..

I love it. Very soft vanilla, amber and cherry fragrance. Well blended and nothing is overpowering note. Great for cooler weather and evenings out. Unisex.
