Grecia Rosa Extrait

Finally got this. Dom Rosa is one of my all-time favorite perfumes, but its longevity leaves much to be desired. So when I saw French Avenue releasing a dupe with the Extrait tag, I was thrilled - this could solve both the price and longevity issues. However, I quickly realized this is not an exact dupe of Dom Rosa. I haven’t tried the Millésime flanker, so it might be closer to that. Did it let me down? Not exactly. Let’s start comparing the two. Dom Rosa is light, fresh, and effervescent - almost sparkling. It opens with pomelo and pear, then develops into that floral rosé wine vibe with a touch of woodiness. Hints of clove, olibanum, and vetiver darken the atmosphere just enough. If the scent were a person, Dom Rosa would be a young, rich, and lavish vampire. Now comes Grecia Rosa. It also opens with a bright citrus, but instead of pomelo, it uses grapefruit, which adds a slightly bitter nuance. I don’t detect pear yet (maybe it comes later after some masturbation). From this point on, you realize it’s not light, not fresh, not effervescent, and certainly not sparkling. The florals and champagne tones fade into the background, and a wave of woods takes over, with heavy olibanum creating a church-incense vibe. On top of that, they’ve added some non-fecal oud that smells absolutely stunning. This might be the best oud note I’ve ever encountered in the countless fragrances I’ve tried. Grecia Rosa isn’t as young or playful as Dom Rosa. It’s darker, more gothic, and slightly masculine-leaning. If Grecia Rosa were a person, it would be a noble vampire - cold-blooded, vicious, and incredibly beautiful.

The exit notes scared me a bit: it smells like you threw champagne on top of fruits, it's very sweet and intense. It takes only a couple minutes to start settling into a floral scent. Then after a while the wood and vetiver starting shining. It smells to be like being on a wooden bench in a garden. The floral is fresh, there's something mossy and wet about it, and has no sweetness at all. The woody and the oud notes are soft and earthy and make the perfume sophisticated. This is light, unissex, beautiful and smells more expensive than it actually is. It was a blind buy and I don't regret it as it's one of my most gorgeous perfumes. In a world where gourmands dominate, Grecia Rosa will stand out. I don't recommend blind buying as the profile scent might not be for everyone.

This is amazing. I agree with other reviewers that while this isn't exactly a bubbly champagne scent, there is still that tickling overtone of some pear-shaped alcoholic beverage. I can't help, but think of a fruity bubblegum mix with long-matured rosé-type red wine, I'm even distinguishing that oak barrels, so no oud to me. And yes, this definitely needs "privacy" to mature. Right off the bat, I got something like licorice from this, but I've learned from experience, that in deep, sweet scents like this, that "licorice" just evelops into deep fruity tones. After ripening this will be perfect viking warrior queen scent, absolutely alluring!

Smells pretty and unusual, it's goth but ethereal. It's holding pink roses in a garden while raining. I don't smell oud, fortunately. Very interesting, but I already knew the DNA and loved it. It is a lighter, juicier and probably more wearable take on the OG and I think the drydown is less spicy. Maybe not safe to blind buy as it's not a mass appealing scent and the champagne note is polarising. Some of my friends didn't like it on them because it smelled sour on their skin. PS: the vetiver note is prominent, this could have been the "Pour Femme" version of Encre Noire.

I am gonna describe the perfume Vampire Lestat is serving sparkling Rose champagne in his chamber that is in gothic castle, the room is chilly and you are laying on red bed sheets in silky red dress. That is what i am smelling. Very gothic, very ancient scented. Love it. 10/10🔥

Imagine Rayhaan Divine, take the freshness of it with added sweet citrus note and some milky spiciness into it. Yes, a spicy fresh rose with lactonic characteristic.

This is the most beautiful rose scent ever. Dom Rosa dupe. Longevity and projection is amazing.

I desperately hope this improves with maceration because on first sniff.....all I'm getting is sour, spoiled grapefruit and dirty green herby basenotes. No champagne, no florals, nothing feminine or pleasant in any way!

Is anyone else smelling cilantro? I want to like Grecia Rosa, but it is not giving me much. Mainly grapefruit and cilantro. Either my sample was decanted out of a very fresh bottle, or this is just not going to give me what it's giving others. Bummer.

Sparkling, fizzy grapefruit and rose with some bitterness and woodiness. Smells better in the air then smelling it close up on your wrist. A beautiful scent nonetheless. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes
