Nobody wants a fragrance that disappears after twenty minutes. Liquid Brun solves this problem by refusing to respect personal space. You are not wearing Liquid Brun. Liquid Brun is wearing the room. And suddenly you realize that half of the fragrance community has collectively lost control of its senses. "It smells like this." "It smells similar to that." "It reminds me of something else." Final Verdict Calling Liquid Brun the worst fragrance of all time may sound harsh. Unfortunately, after extensive consideration, every alternative explanation falls apart. It is too sweet to be balanced. Too loud to be elegant. Too persistent to be forgiven. Too hyped to be ignored. It does not gently enter a room. It conquers territory. It does not wear on skin. It establishes a colony. It does not fade away. It signs a long-term lease. If fragrances were mountains, Liquid Brun would be a mountain made entirely of cinnamon sugar, vanilla extract, and poor decision-making. If fragrances were films, Liquid Brun would be three hours of explosions with no plot. If fragrances were food, Liquid Brun would be someone emptying an entire supermarket baking aisle into a blender. And if fragrances were historical figures, Liquid Brun would be remembered not for greatness, but for the astonishing confidence with which it ignored every warning sign available. Therefore, after careful analysis, rigorous testing, and several moments of existential reflection, the conclusion is unavoidable: Liquid Brun is not merely a bad fragrance. It is the final boss of bad fragrances. The undisputed heavyweight champion of olfactory excess. The fragrance world's answer to turning every volume knob to maximum and then breaking the knob off. And for that reason, it earns its place in history as the worst fragrance of all time.

I deleted my initial "Liquid Brun" review, which I wrote immediately after Liquid Brun launched in 2024. I was into a vanilla-heavy phase back then and I couldn't appreciate this fragrance. I was not a huge fan of the fragrance back in 2024. FWIW, I owned/wore a few full bottles of Parfum de Marly "Althair" and I love Althair. But I refuse to pay the PdM price point when Middle Eastern houses have perfected dupes and clones of popular fragrances. I am not rich. I re-purchased "Liquid Brun Original" after inadvertently purchasing "Limited Edition." So, Limited Edition is similar to the Original but a bit less spicy (no cinnamon), a bit lighter (added oak moss) and a wee-bit more floral (lavender & rose). Still, Liquid Brun Limited and Liquid Brun Original are 95% Althair minus a smidge of the OG's complexity. In all fairness, I will say PdM Althair opens with an aromatic, camphorous, minty brightness that both Liquid Brun fragrances do not quite have. "Liquid Brun" is a creamy, moderately spicy (I love cardamom), orange blossom and vanilla fragrance with some sweetness in its base. The sweetness and ambroxan in the perfume's base contribute to the perfume's dense development. In general, LB is a moderately spicy, orange-blossom, ambery-vanilla cocoon, start-to-finish. Performance is nuclear...probably one of the strongest perfume I've ever owned/sampled. Comforting to me. I love this stuff. I love both renditions, Original and Limited Edition.

Honest non-npc review: opening is def harsh but after 10-15 minutes u start to rlly get althair dna. I have both althair and liquid brun and I'ma tell u straight, the smell is identical. Now the difference is obv in quality. Althair is better blended together and stronger projection. Althair has that heavy creaminess that liquid brun doesn't have but for 400$ I'd hope so. Liquid brun is heavy on ambeoxan so if your sensitive to that then maybe reconsider buying but tbh you only really smell it the first 20 minutes. After that it disappears. Longevity is nuclear, I'm not lying it lasts at least 24 hours on skin regardless skin type and the sillage and projection are good. Althair is without a doubt better then liquid brun but when u get into prices, I'm buying liquid brun all day over althair. Also this is more of a masculine scent but if your a girl who's confident in herself u could pull it off js fine. Summary: 400$ vs 35$. Yes althair is good but why get it when theirs a dupe just as good for 350$ less. Yes the quality isn't insane compared to designers and niches but coming from someone who owns althair, get this plain and simple. If you don't like it you wouldn't have liked althair in the first place 100%. I can't hate on this cologne every dupe is synthetic what do y'all expect. Easily the best super ever. If u want a cheap winter cologne, get this. NB14 out.

Amazing. I have a sample of Altair, and boy, it is 99% the same to my nose, the only difference is Altair is a little stronger. I fell for the French Avenue hype and bought into Liquid Brun. I haven’t found a single person that dislikes this scent. Something about it... This scent is a unique vanilla scent, and I’m a vanilla baby so I might be a little biased, but mm mm mm. It’s vanilla, but it has a little bit of cinnamon, and the orange blossom makes it pop in a unique way. It’s a very suitable for date nights because all the ladies love it. As for performance this thing is a beast for $35. I sprayed it on my wrist before I went to sleep and could still smell it in the morning. As for clothes I wore a jacket with this scent and two days later it was still there. Absolute monster. As for projection I’d say it’s decent. In my brother’s words “Your cologne is radiating of you.” To me that’s good because he didn’t sound overwhelmed. The presentation is the classic, beautiful standard dupe houses have. The bottle is very nice quality, the cap is a click cap but kinda a cheap plastic, and the atomizer is above average but not amazing. Overall, I find myself wearing it even not on date nights, simply because I like it that much. I would say this is a 9.2/10 one of my favorite dupes.

So many people wanna be different and say this isn’t all that likable or it’s not what was expected bla bla. Granted if the scent profile isn’t your thing then don’t get it. As for me, it was a blind buy and I trusted Noel. If you follow him then you know his reputation. It fits in my collection. For me who doesn’t have disposable income, liquid brun will be perfect. I’m not one for clout nor do I like to boast about things so no need for the OG. This is perfect and from what I’m told it’s a 1:1. Update: 5/8/26 As with any review I also leave an update. This has been a stand out in my collection, yes a small collection but it shows how picky I am. It’s long lasting and can almost certainly get a at least two compliments. I wore it out to an event and felt like I commanded the room. Second test was to wear it while I did yardwork. Yes that was just for my own knowledge, but I wanted to test longevity and mixture with water and sweat, the fragrance lasted on my skin and was still very prominent even after a heavy days work I do recommend this but from my experience it’s more of a winter fragrance or fall. It gives almost a warm feeling.

So someone said this is the next Club de Nuit Intense vs Aventus, and they are right. Liquid Brun has a harsh and alcoholic opening, while Althair has a smooth one. If you compare them side by side, you can easily pick up which one is the real one, and which one is the clone. But if you don't smell them side by side, Liquid Brun smells just like Althair, especially on air, where they are identical. Deep, woody, ambroxan base with vanilla and orange blossom on top. There is something that hurts your nose if you smell Liquid Brun up-close on your skin, and I think that is the result of high concentration and intense ambroxan usage. As a result of these, the sillage and performance of Liquid Brun is better than Althair. So, pick your side. Opening: Althair wins Performance: Liquid Brun wins Quality: Althair wins Price point: Liquid Brun wins Smelling up close: Althair wins Smelling on air: It is a tie, +%90 close. Packaging: Liquid Brun wins I personally don't think I would ever buy Althair again after I finish my bottle

Wow. I've owned plenty of dupes and cheaper colognes and this is the only one I will actually wear over my designers. I'm writing this review the same day I got it and let me tell you, even before I've let this sit it's amazing. I'm smelling Althair and this side by side rn and I'm truly amazed at how close it is. I see people talking about how it smells "medicinal" but I just don't get that, to me it's almost a kinda syrupy vanilla with a touch of spice, definitely unisex but probably a little more male. Plus, this performs like a beast, i literally put it on in the morning, showered later, then played a full length lacrosse game and could still smell it on my skin after that in the night. This is truly the best cheap clone I've ever smelt so I really do recommend buying it ONLY IF YOU LIKE ALTHAIR BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME, so just go smell althair and decide because I promise they're actually that close even pre-maceration 9/10

Bought it after months of hype and after smelling PDM althair. I cannot say its 1:1 as I haven't tested PDM Althair on skin, however smelling Althair on paper and Liquid Brun on my skin, they're basically the same. The main difference is when you get really close to the skin, it becomes a little bit more harsh. It's initially pretty harsh but after about 40 minutes it settles and becomes very vanilla and floral smelling fragrance. It's something i'd describe as perfectly unisex. Definitely like it more than some other dupes I've tested, although I have to admit I was initially disappointed because I bought both Liquid brun and Lattafa The Kingdom and The Kingdom highkey has a very similar (albeit softer) drydown that almost made this feel redundant. Fortunately after trying it again, I realized that even though they fill a similar niche for me, they're still both uniquely amazing.

I just got this and straight out the box this is soo good! 🔥 French Avenue did its thang with this one. Supposably the best clone for PDM Althaïr and probably FA best fragrance they’ve released. Can’t tell you if it’s a direct one to one but if it is, this stuff is a panty dropper. Smooth vanilla fragrance done to perfection. I do see the similarities with Mercedes club black. That one I feel is more of a smoky take for that incense note but this to me is just smoother and better imo. I would advise not to wear in the hot summer since it’s pretty dam sweet. I’ll let it sit and do its magic. Great for the cold winter and cool fall. Date night scent or special occasion scent to me. You can wear this too for example by the fireplace in a cabin with your girl while it’s snowing that sort of cozy scent. 10/10 banger 🔥 I would say blind buy safe if you like vanilla fragrances.

Ok first of all, I didn't fall for the hype when this was released, everybody was talking about how close this is to PDM Althair and so on. I actually went to a physical store to try this myself after the hype went down and I fell in love with this scent profile, i actually bought it that exact day and I do not regret it at all. It smells very cuddly and sweet, it's attention grabbing, not masculine by any means, unisex but leans masculine imo. Insane value for money compared to its original counterpart, which is overly expensive, owning this means you never even have to think about buying Althair for a second. Now, packaging and performance are both really nice. The box is heavy and very shiny and closes magnetically. Performance is 8+ hours even with an unmacerated bottle and also projects heavily for the first 3-4 hours. My final rating is a 9.5/10!

Scentlet.co.uk for the cheapest decants - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Liquid Brun is easily one of my favourite perfumes, straight of the bat its quite harsh and kind of isopropyl alcoholly smelling but that goes within a few seconds. It then becames an insanely gourmandy sweet praline-cinammony scent. It's genuinely incredible you will be putting your nose to your wrist every minute. Of course, it's an Althair clone and is it close? Yes, extremely. At the dry down i'd give it 95-100% similarity. The only difference i have noticed is throughout the life of the scent after spraying it on yourself, Althair is much smoother and well mixed. Thought Liquid brun isnt necessarily bad and you wouldnt notice unless side by side. Of course for nearly 10x the price liquid brun is definitely worth copping 5/5 easily

My grandfather blind bought this for me.. and it is amazing. 💪 🪵 First of all this needs maturing. When you first get it it is way to harsh, but after a few weeks it becomes wonderful. 🔥 Right of the bat you get that spicy, sweet freshness, but the freshness disappears quickly (thankfully because I do not like it when winter fragrances have a fresh opening) and the spicy sweetness remains. After it settles down you get some cinnamon with vanilla and chocolate. 🍦 A while after I get the smell of vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge, but not a cold ice cream if that makes sense.. 🍫 In the complete dry down it smells like deliciousness. 😋 🎂 Leans masculine. Scent 8/10 Longevity 7/10 Silage/Projection 8/10 I highly recommend this for an affordable, delicious gourmand winter fragrance.

If you're a fan of sweet, spicy vanilla fragrances with great quality for the price, Liquid Brun is an easy recommendation. 9.4/10.

This is an all-star level dupe, and a great stand alone scent. But even saying that, it does not perform as well on my skin as it does for the average man. I get around 6 hours or a bit, and silage is fairly close in. Compliments are not being thrown at me wearing this because people around me are not smelling it until they come in for a hug. This actually makes it fairly interesting as a date night fragrance, drawing her in closer. It also means I can wear this any time of day or night, summer or winter and its fine. On my skin, its works for anytime. All that being said, it did perform better once I let it sit around after a few uses for 3-4 months. Still, its no beast with close-in silage and lasts about 6 hours. I also have the Extrait version, and prefer it.

THis stuff by itself is really good, one time i even had a smokin hot latina say "mmmm is that you that smells like that" and she got super close to me. lol. i found a super awesome layer combo i would like to share with you guys first, get some choco musk perfume oil roller ball from amazon. its 6 bucks but so worth it. use that roller ball to roll a nice little patch of oil on your pulse point, then spray a little liquid brun on top what you get is basically a more rich deep version of liquid brun, super yummy and creamy trust me try it out and let me know how you like it!!!!!!! also it will last a lot longer thanks to the layer of oil should a man smell like a cookie? well if you want smoking hot women telling you you smell delicious then yes.

Saw it for 25 USD or so, too good to pass. I hated sweet fragrances, tried SWY series in Sephora but did not care about them. I thought this would be overly sweet and had low expectation. But it is actually not. The opening is more spicy, and the core is actually a bit woody. Both would smooth out the sweetness perfectly. Never tried the OG. But this one is not like typical ME clones to me. A bit alcohol feel when just arrived, but no harshness or synthetic feeling at all. Feels good quality too. (My Lattafa needed 1 week maceration to remove the harshness, Armaf is still synthetic after months) This is so good, would like to try more French Avenues based on this.

Amazing fragrance and the most used in my collection. I mostly get vanilla, tons of cinnamon and a bit of orange blossom. Maceration definitely needed. Tbh I've never tried Althair due to it being literally worth almost my whole collection lol, so can't comment on the closeness. If you're looking for an amazing, edible ish winter goat then this imo is much better than the og Khamrah, the Qahwa does put up a fight. A bit cloying initially but gets beautiful after around 10 mins. Blind buy safe imo, get a sample tho if you're not into these type of scents. Byee fragheads:)

Somehow missed out on buying it when it came out, just bought it recently and it lives up to all the hype and more. Incredibly sexy, smooth vanilla and leather, draws people in and has them hanging off of you to smell you. I've noticed women close their eyes when they smell it and sometimes make a noise. Drys down on the sweeter side but not sickly sweet to me, I can see others thinking that, though. This should be a staple in everyone's collection in my opinion, amazing value for money, 90%+ to Althaïr, incredibly versatile and doesn't get old. 10/10.

Ok, I get the damn hype now. This is by far the BEST value gourmand out there. Just big wow. Also it's a lot fresher than you'd think, I will totally wear this on summer evenings and I don't think anyone would mind. Smells like scooping up vanilla ice cream on a freshly baked apple crumble pie, what's more summer than that? At least here in Sweden that's summer. Also goddamn is it a lot oil this thing spritz out, I don't know if it's some kind of filler or something but my skin looks lotioned up after applying this lol.

This might be one of the best winter scent profiles for men. Smells clean, cozy, warm, spicy and sweet. If you like vanilla, this is a no brainer, i think it's even better than the OG. Only downside is that everyone has it since it's affordable especially the kids, this has become the new Dior Sauvage, right there with Lattafa Khamrah. Anyhow for me, this will always be in my collection, or who knows i might try the new limited edition and that will replace it. 10/10.

really truly is almost a 1:1 to althair. preforms amazingly lasts long and projects well. i was honestly very nervous when i first got it. i thought it didn’t smell good at all and the preformance lasted about 10 seconds. after about 2 months that all completely changed. even now it changed a little more away from just being sweet, those darker notes are now coming through. a great wear for winter, fall or cold weather situation. have gotten many compliments off this

Everyone talked about this already so: Yes, it’s one of the best vanilla fragrances to exist IMO. Listen to me, you NEED to macerate this. Out of the box it smells slightly harsh and has no depth whatsoever. The difference between my friend’s 7 months old bottle and my newer one is absurd. I feel bad to those who tried this once then instantly got rid of it. But I can’t really blame them, I would’ve returned it had I not known it develops to a Heavenly fragrance.

I rocked this stuff last summer and got nothing but compliments. Nowadays im rocking it this ummer in the extreme summer heat still getting compliments. I like to use choco musk perfume oil roller on my skin and then put this on top of that, it smells like a heavenly cake or something and my crush at work gave me the biggest compliment about this fragrance combo (we compliment each other all the time) but this time she said WOW WOW WOW you smelll soooooo goooood.

When I first received it smelled very weak and had a pretty strong synthetic alcohol smell to it but after putting it in a dark closet to let it masturbate in peace for about 2 weeks it developed into one of the best smelling colognes I have in my collection. Upon first receiving it I would have gave it a 6/10 but after letting it masturbate for a few weeks I now strongly give it a 10/10 ESPECIALLY for the price. Just get it you won't regret it.

The hype is real. It is extremely strong, cinnamon heavy with some flowery notes. The initial burst reminded me of Red Tobacco which is also cinnamon heavy. Tames down a bit after 15 minutes but the character is quite linear. Not many changes and frankly I like linear fragrances. I know how I smell all day. Definitely back up worthy. It is not your designer fragrance but for the price you pay this is way beyond value for money. Good work.

Fellas, fellas. 11/10 No doubt. It's a super sweet, seductive vanilla with some very light smokiness in the opening. Don't turn away though. The drydown is the most addictive scent on earth. Nothing comes close; it smells so good you want to eat it genuinely. And it gets an absolutely huge amount of compliments. I get about 4 every wear. On my skin it lasted 15 hours with very strong projection up till hour 4 or so. Just buy it. Trust ME

Phenomenal dupe of PDM's Althair. The dry down is where it's at for Liquid Brun. The opening is a little harsh and loud. That's the only thing I despise about this fragrance. However, once it gets past the 10-15 minute mark and begins to settle in, the fragrance is a banger! Great fragrance to create great layering combos as well! If you don't like how it performs on your skin, gift the bottle away or just wear it on your clothing.

Liquid Brun is an almost perfect clone of Parfums de Marly Althaïr. The quality of the notes is outstanding, smelling natural and well blended from start to finish. It definitely benefits from maceration, which can improve the performance by around 30%, but even without it, the fragrance performs exceptionally well. Overall, it offers incredible value for the price and is an easy recommendation for anyone who loves the Althaïr DNA.

I had heard online that this was the best dupe of PDM althaïr, and that is was one to one ect. I didn't appreciate how true this is until I smelled the og and honestly they are the exact same. For £30 it is an absolute bargain of a fragrance, while still being a beutiful warm bakery sent that's perfect for the cold. The initial spray is a tad harsh, but this dissappears quickly to leave the same scent as the og PDM.

Late too the party but this smells so addicting,what an awesome vanilla profile! I see no reason to buy any designer fall/winter fragrance when a dupe like this exists! Pdm did a great job with Althair but let's be honest it's a really expensive fragrance and to be able to get the same experience for that cheap and this quality is industry changing!I can't see how I am not gonna repurchase this over and over again

Bit of cinnamon and spice off the rip and a lot of vanilla and praline in the dry-down. It’s sweet, a touch spicy, and very vanilla heavy. Pretty damn close to PDM althaïr. For $26, it’s really a no-brainer for the money conscious fragrance enjoyer. Only drawback is the slight alcohol scented opening present in a lot of dupes/French Avenue products. Subjective Score: 9.0/10

I'm currently going through a "freshies" phase and sway away from a lot of sweetness, but this is a unique blend that keeps me coming back. Its even satisfying my sweet tooth a lot of the time. The quality for the price is extraordinary. Do note that I hated this initially and found it very harsh and chemical but macerating for 2 months turned this into a gourmet dessert.

Liquid brun is intresting truly intresting,at the beginning you feel some sort of stinky nearly sour smell in the background but soon after then you can feel that it truly is wonderful and warming,so also cozy,you will be able to smell vanilla,peppers,praline and if you think about the orange blooms then it truly reveals itself! Truly wonderful for the money also.

This review is for my 2nd bottle. Yep. It's that good. Out of the box projects for 3 hours max followed with 10 hours longevity on my skin. I do wish the atomizer coulda been even more legendary but meh, it works for me. 1 Spray as of now is mediocre level strong. I hope it can become stronger from maturing it for a month. What else can I say, it's PEAK.

I genuinely could not tell the difference between this and Althaïr, nearly 1:1. Got it off Jomashop for $34 including shipping, an absolute steal for the quality. Lasts 10+ hours on skin, haven't tested on clothing yet. Absolutely phenomenal sweet fragrance that will be one of my most worn in the the fall and winter. Date nights will never be the same

I love this, For those who are worried it being too spicy or too sweet, dont worry. this is a perfect balance of spicyness just enough for the vanilla to come through, you can smell the cardamom and other spices. got so many compliments and people loved it. its moderate lasting but definetly wortht he price. i would buy 10 of these if i could

The fact that people say it isn't beast mode is crazy. That ambroxan pushes off the fragrance so much so that my family could smell me from the floor below. It can be headache inducing if oversprayed and not suitable for summer days, but any other season and night time events are perfect for this fragrance, especially in an intimate setting.

When I first got it definitely had that medicine vibe but left a whole smelt way better.it is really sweet but for me I like a sweet fragrance a smooth blend of vanilla and chocolate kinda.projection and longevity pretty good projects for 2hrs on my skin lasts whole day I wear in the car I can say it’s car filling can be cloying

I blind bought this fragrance, and it did not dissapoint. I love sweet fragrances and this one legit smells like a sweet sugary desert. If you do not like super sweet vanilla fragrances, do not buy this, otherwise it is incredible for its smell, price, and longetivity (I wear 3-4 sprays and it lasts me a full 9 hour period).

Liquid Brun is one of those fragrances I reach for without thinking. The cinnamon, vanilla, ambroxan. So freaking good. After wearing this, I honestly don't feel the need to buy Althaïr at what, like over $300. Naw. Liquid Brun is that good. At the price, don't think, just buy. Hell I'd pay $100 for this.

Sweet, syrup-y kind of dark, boozy vanilla with a lot of cinnamon. Warm, inviting, but also somehow kind of sophisticated since its not a sickly sweet vanilla, I would say office safe unless you overspray. It was a lot more vanilla before maceration, now its a lot more cinnamon heavy, not that I mind.

Absolutely one of my pound for pound best from the middle east. This was the 2nd middle eastern fragrance I bought, after CDNIM parfum. With these 2 at the starting line, it was a great spark to explore more from the middle east. What can I say, I concur with influencers who recommended Liquid Brun.

This thing sticks to your clothes for days. Made me smells edible. There's no point of buying the real thing as long as Liquid Brun is there on the market. The difference is the blend is slightly harsh compared to the OG. But that also means better projections, on air it smells the exact same

Best Althair dupe, the house of French avenue is a bit overrated but this smells EXTREMELY close to Althair and the packaging and presentation is also better, the average person who doesnt know anything about perfumes would probably pay more for this than the original PDM Althair.

This is Althaïr to a T, just inside another bottle. The scent is virtually identical from opening to drydown, and the longevity and projection are the exact same too - probably the most accurate clone I've smelt to this day. Only downside is the name. Liquid Brun. Seriously FW? 💀

This was the fragrance that got me into the dupes. It's a great long lasting sweet fragrance for cold weathers and super identical to Althair. I also have Historic Sahara and Vanilla Dunes. But I still think Liquid Brun is the closest and strongest.

Ok so, like any other dupe fragrance.. give it a month to smoothen out and cook. I personally love it , it’s very close to PDM Althair. Basically a 1/1. I like this better than the original. Truly one of the best dupes out there, worth the price!

God Damnnnnn is this good ! The cinnamon and cardamom ickle your frontal cortex like a masseuse. So hypnotizing and mesmerizing one of those tom and jerry scent trails you'd follow to a cliff. Safest blind buy if you like sweet DNA's.
