NECTARE Extradose

I had been looking for the perfect honey fragrance, and just when I thought that I had enough variations of the honey theme, this fragrance came into my orbit. Talking myself into the idea that I didn’t have a honey-white flowers combo in my collection yet, I decided to buy it anyway, even if it’s of course on the more expensive end as far as middle eastern fragrance go. Especially seeing as I also recently acquired Fierte Luna from the same brand, and I figured it would be different enough if the same brand had another honey forward scent. Luckily, I was right: this is a very different wearing experience compared to the Naxos DNA. Nectaré Overdose is a very, very sticky sweet honey, very smooth and bright. I get a lot of neroli from it, which works beautiful with the honey. It’s very long lasting, even on the skin. In the end, hours later, I feel like the honey has gone to the background and what is left is mostly white flowers. Which is still beautiful, but a very different wearing experience. So this fragrance definitely takes you for a ride: a long, long ride. The package might be a bit on the nose for the theme, but on the other hand, I really love the honeycomb theme, and I feel like, as expected as it is, it’s also really beautiful. If there’s any fragrance that would deserve a honeycomb, honey colored look, it would be a prominent honey fragrance. The box itself looks a little bit less amazing to me, but that’s because in my own personal view, very primary colors (like the primary yellow of this box) tend to look cheap. But it’s definitely a box that I might have kept if I wasn’t trying to save space.

Just got a sample and it’s blown me away, what a standout unique fragrance. At first the bitter orange, ginger and beginning notes of honey reminded me immediately of a bohemian/hippie shop, the ones with colourful natural materials and fibres, wafts of nag champa incense and wooden furniture from some foreign land. Really something special, you have to have a trained nose and good imagination to appreciate this scent. After you’ve entered said shop, the honey comes out in full swing, syrupy and thick, coating the white florals nearly entirely. The walnut milk adds a creaminess that definitely reminds me of some milk and honey body/hand wash, but come on people that smell is sooo delicious, at least for me. A very unique fragrance, not for everyone, but if you appreciate honey or creamy fragrances, worth spending at least half an hour with this scent. Love!

Stunning honey centered fragrance. And I mean it, she's beautiful, sunny, warm. Elegant and feminine, literally. No doubt a lovely every day scent, travelling etc Safe and beautiful, sweet but not crazy, there is a sense of measure and vintage class. If you love honey, this is a super safe blind buy and phenomenal gift 🐝🐝🐝 You will not sense some of the other notes at large but there is a minimal quantities of them to avoid keeping it flat, so it makes it enjoyable. I've purchased honey centered fragrances for 200$ ++ and been way less content. :)) it surprised me Great deal for the price!

This smells very similar to Thameens Bravi however it’s sweeter and the honey note is more pronounced. This is a very beautiful fragrance, very white floral heavy in the opening with the honey note coming out strongly in the dry down. It’s a realistic pure honey too - not synthetic, which at this price point is really impressive. Lasts ages and projects strongly.

Just got this. Lovely well made gorgeous bottle in a solid and beautiful box. After first spray, I get a blast of jasmine and some honey with neroli. This leans to the feminine side a lot. I need to let this mature and then I will do a final review. At the moment it reminds me of Full by Al Rehab. I like this though. A rich Summery and potent perfume.

Absolutely NUCLEAR mix of honey and white florals with hints of bergamot freshness. Despite its strength, the scent is oddly calming; it nearly feels like there is chamomile somewhere in here, it's that soothing. Btw, answering @S.nugaim's question, the honey in here is very realistic; it smells exactly like the honey jar in my kitchen.

To the reviewer who sees this perfume similar to JTC 400: how similar are the two fragrances and what differences do you detect? I am a huge fan of 400, but its price is still very high and I prefer to buy a more affordable alternative instead of a backup bottle (I have 3 bottles atm). Thank you!

After maturing, I can say this is a rich floral and honey perfume with an excellent performance. Towards the feminine side. The jasmine is prominent. I love the bottle. The silage is effective and is attention grabbing. It's a love from me.

Very high presence of honey and white flowers. Honey is realistic, very sweet but still has a refreshing floral touch. I would label it as unisex leaning feminine, but it’s great for men who like honey and jasmine.

Just got this today and WOW, this smells absolutely amazing. It smells like a luxurious honey body lotion you would get at a Spa or really expensive Hotel. Very long lasting 2 sprays go a long way.

The more that I wear this, the more I enjoy it. The drydown is so beautiful. I feel that this is going to be perfection in the warmer months.

"You Are My Honey Bunny" is a nursery rhyme/song well known to many of us. Its cute and sweet, and for whatever reason, this is what I expected when I ordered this perfume. Well, let me assure you that what French Avenue did with honey in their "Nectare Extradose" is so very grown up and doesn't have a single bunny rabbit in several miles' vicinity of it... The opening is of a bitter orange, ginger and bergamot glacé. Very accurate impression, giving great zest and sparkle in the opening. Honey and walnut milk come out almost immediately, flowing as a thick golden syrup with powdery and softly-spiced lactonic undercurrent. Honey shines golden, developing a cloud-like form, that is enveloping and airy in an unexpected manner. This is a stroke of genius as despite strong projection and sillage, the scent does not cloy or suffocate, but settles in comfortably while remaining prominent. All gourmand notes are brilliantly realistic and need no "introductions". Orange blossom and neroli create a gentle backdrop for the lead note, maintaining a citrus presence in the composition rather skilfully and elegantly. Vanilla paints a picture of bright sunshine flowing through the windows of morning patisserie where freshly baked pastries have just been laid out on the counter. Also woven into the scent are woods and tobacco, expanding and deepening honey note's facet, giving it multitude of hues, shifting between Songean golden and orange sapphires, Baltic amber and Mali garnets, with white musk deftly balancing out all the luscious sweetness of the honey. This perfume is incredibly reminiscent of a summer pollen-rich honey that bumblebees make (and yes, I tried bumblebee' honey in my childhood, only twice, for it is hard to come by and my grandfather taught me that as bumblebees do not live in large colonies like honey bees, taking their honey was only allowed to me when he said so). "Nectare Extradose" is also an incredibly warm and comforting (well, can honey be anything else?) and so layers incredibly well with cool/white musks (which I already tried and am in love with the result) as well as wood/tobacco compositions. So, it is quite a versatile creation and one does not have to worry about it being a strictly seasonal indulgence (I would be careful wearing it on its own, having lunch a la fresco in the middle of July if one is uneasy in the presence of wasps or bees). When thinking about the visual image in harmony with this scent I would suggest Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (also known as The Lady in Gold or The Woman in Gold) 1907 by Gustav Klimt, for all the colours, shades and flow of the notes are already there.

I got a box of about 20 decants of newly released middle eastern fragrances from various houses. This one stood out like an elephant among ants and absolutely nothing in that box left such a strong impression. On my skin, this is nuclear honey. Yes, it does start with just a bit of citrus, but everything else is honey on steroids plus a touch of neroli. It doesn't last for more than 4-5 hours on my skin, but it projects like a beast, filling the entire house (not room) from the 1st spray. I do like honey scents and own a few, but I have never encountered one louder than this. However, this is not a complex scent at all. Apart from the initial sting, it is quite linear and has a bit of a vintage designer vibe. Seems like something an older (but chic) female teacher would wear. But it is not unpleasant in any way and I would probably buy a full bottle and layer it with something else. Just as a suggestion to other honey lovers, you might wanna try Giardini di Toscana's new release Oro e Miele. That is what I would call a complex, beautifully blended and realistic honey. Also, Nectare Extradose is definitely NOT a unisex fragrance, it is 100% feminine.

At first spray/smell, I got a really strong overwhelming woody, almost incense vibe and I was not a fan. Then after letting it dry down, the beautiful honey sweetness came through and saved the day! I really enjoy the citrus and orange blossom as well, it balances out the honey and makes this a super mature yet sweet scent. This is such a spring/summer fragrance to me personally, I see myself wearing this on a beautiful sunny day somewhere in Europe. I really enjoy its level of projection and can smell it on myself all day. Despite being labelled as unisex, I would definitely say this is a female leaning scent which I am glad to have in my collection. Smells expensive at a fraction of the price.

Honey comes off very thick in the opening with a citrus note coming from the bitter orange, which almost smells like lime on my skin but i still dig it. After about 10 min, it really starts to brighten up with more florals. It seems like a great spring fragrance and i thought it was going to be deeper. Very warm, sweet, honey but floral first, I understand the incense that people mention, but it's very white floral just as described, followed by a intense deep warm honey scent, I feel like it's def more feminine leaning though. But it's nice, long lasting too, sprayed it before bed, woke up 8 hours later, and it still lingered around me.

Wow - this reminds me so much of Dior Poison (1985). The tuberose and jasmine in Nectare Extradose are like no white flowers I've ever smelled apart from Poison. I thought this was going to give pretty-girl spring/honey vibes but no...I would say this is better for cooler weather and night. This scent is STRONG! It's very in-your-face 1980's and 1990's. BOLD white floral in the same snobby clique as Givenchy Amarige or Victoria's Secret Rapture. It's giving big hair, shoulder pads and heels...Alexis Carrington having lunch at the country club while taking a break from world domination.

I get: Intense indolic nectar like white florals Lactonic body lotion & powder tuberose accord (leaning grandma) Subtle musky honey accord (like you took the base notes from real honey) Vanilla accord remeniscent of Lattafa Angham, which I dislike To me this is a nectar & honey twist on the Soleil blanc DNA. The honey is not as prominent as I would like here.

It had a lot of potential because of the name and the notes but this is too soapy, detergent, room spray like. Not a terrible scent but not one I would like to be associated with because it’s too generic to my nose. The bottle is lovely

One of my worst purchases ever, not that there is anything wrong with the perfume, but it is not quite what it portrays to be, and i was made full aware of this but choose to dive blind and I blame myself for this fail. Starts off actually pretty well, has a very bright sweet tangy opening owing to that raw realistic honey mixed with bitter orange and tonnes of white florals of which neroli and jasmine are at the forefront, dont really get any apparant orange blossom (which is my first gripe). As the scent develops, the honey just keeps getting thicker and mixes with some creaminess from the vanilla and nuttiness, with a heavy dose of white floral that keep on pumping. The whole composition smells quite sharp and "cheap" in a weird way, maybe its the overdose of florals that give off that cheapness as the note of honey is really well done and is quite realistic. Now, as it settles and dries down, there is this weird "smokiness" probably coming off from the tobacco which is very dry and almost dusty in a way, which when mixed with the woody accord turns this even more offputting to me. It feels like this is trying to be too many things at once and not succeeding at either of them, the balance in all the notes seem way off as everying is quite literally an "extradose", probably trying to live upto its name. Moreover, the scent is very heavily feminine leaning, and the whole "unisex" push on this is quite misleading and untrue. On top of that, the feminine nature of this scent is also pushing towards the "vintage" demographic, almost like a grandma-esque quality to it, so I cannot even advise it to females without reservation. The only good (bad?) thing in this entire fiasco is the sheer beastly performance this holds; it was projecting hard for 3-4 hours and gave a proper headache, lasting on skin for over 12 hours. Got it on my hoodie by mistake, not even a direct spray mind you, as my sleeve brushed off my hand and it reeked off it for over 3 days, had to wash as I could not bear it anymore, so take what you will from this. Overall, this is a heavy white floral sweet and polarizing scent that is overly feminine leaning (trust me not unisex by any means) that is absolutely not a safe blind buy even for females. I commend the approach and uniqueness to it, and I hope FA continues to bring more such directions in cloning lesser known scents; but this one is a scrubber, surely try before you think of buying.

Very challenging — not a safe blind buy. The very first spray delivers a harsh, soapy and overpowering neroli note that clashes with the honey. I find the opening hard to tolerate; it almost spoils the experience for me. The soapy neroli creates a sharp, detergent-like impression, reminiscent of floor-cleaning products. You need to wait about 20 minutes for the neroli to soften a bit, but it lingers in the background and still doesn’t complement the honey accord. The drydown smells like a honey soap not like a perfume. Performance: You need to spray it generously for it to project decently, but then you’re trapped under this horrid, sharp, soapy neroli for at least 20 minutes - if you can survive it. At the moment, I’m not particularly fond of this one. I’ll let it maturate and revisit my opinion later. Had I smelled it before buying, I most likely wouldn’t have purchased it at all.

If Bee is your ultimate honey fragrance then NECTARE Extradose is just nasty in comparison. Firstly, it’s vanilla dominant (even over the honey) and it’s a cheap vanilla, like a vanilla scented Little Tree car air-freshener. The citruses and pear then curdle the mix into a sour acidic sweetness like stomach acid combined with Haribo. It’s a scrubber for sure, but it’s so nuclear that it refuses to be scrubbed. Kim K’s Pure Honey is way better than this.

This scent really isn’t for me. It has an overwhelming floral element considering the name and marketing makes you imagine that this would be a heavy honey fragrance. Don’t get me wrong - honey is definitely there. But the floral notes seem to take over and makes this feel very ‘vintage’. As it dries down I also get a lot of incense although I know this isn’t listed as a note. It’s just not the syrupy, thick honey scent that I wanted it to be.

OMG who voted for spring/summer as suitable for this fragrance? This is very strong, headache-inducing! The honey is impressively photorealistic though, which is why I might get back to my 3ml sample in the cold time of year, but right now it is a scrub off for me!

My god the opening/initial spray of this was awful on my skin that I literally gagged. I think it's the honey note that is coming off as an animalic, foul smelling scent mixed in with citrus and something else sweet that I am suspecting is the tobacco. As it settles that foul animalic scent slowly decreases (but not completely) and I could smell the orange and ginger more, however this is a very immediate no for me.

You have to be a designer fragrance lover to think this is good. No! Not well blended and honey note is somewhat synthetic making the mix even worse. I cannot imagine the intensity in warmer weather but this is not wearable even in the winter.

It stinks like an Arabian goat that fell into a bucket of artificial honey. This isn’t perfume. It’s a stench that’s hard to wash off. Cheap, syrupy, revolting.

To my nose, this smells like nectar-esq sweet sugar-water amongst indistinct florals. The sweetness is only mild though (low amount of sweetness) because it's dominated by indistinct florals. I really tried, but I don't get honey. I get no thick-syrupy nature of honey, despite what all the YouTube reviewers said. I get a *watery*, sweet sugar-water that's more true to the consistency and expected-scent of actual *nectar* (I used to pull apart flowers in primary school and lick the nectar off, and it had a watery consistency, though I don't remember the smell anymore). Well, the name makes sense now. The florals are totally indistinct to me (or I'm simply not familiar with the dominating floral, which may be unlisted). Although there's a very minor vague bitterness to be expected from florals, I don't get any distinct bitterness associated with jasmine or neroli. I don't get orange blossom either. I have two tuberose-dominant fragrances and this doesn't remind me of those either. As a guy, I wish the florals were punchier. And as a guy, I'm looking for a male-appropriate summer gym floral scent, but this is simply too rounded and old-fashioned/designer-esq of a floral scent and not punchy enough for guys to pull off imo. It smells of good quality though for an easy-grab daily-driver floral scent for women. I sprayed from a well-maturated tester bottle and smelt on paper strip for multiple hours.

literally guerlain tobbaco and honey without the tobbaco. You get some light white florals instead of the tobacco. If you like honey fragrances you will like this. Opens up really floral then dries down to honey almost like a hand soap smell. EDIT: just remembered why this smelt so familar. It smells just like moon glory by the hypnotist. Practically the same thing

Wow, this smells like feet 😅 Is anyone else getting that? I believe it's a combination of the Bitter Citrus and the Honey note. I smell no florals here whatsoever, which is a shame because I would've loved some clean, white floralscent, but nothing.

I adore this fragrance profile, the intensity of the white florals and that honey like nectar scent. As kids, we used to sip nectar from honeysuckle flowers by pulling the stamens down through the flowers. This so reminds me of that...

A blend of white flowers and honey, a slight tartness of ginger and pear, and finally, the settledness of tobacco and woody notes. But it becomes a heavy scent as you linger. The artificial honeyed sweetness is suffocating.

At first I didn't know if it was good or not.. it lasts like a $500 fragrance.. it's a strange scent.. the honey isn't exactly sweet.. and I can smell the nut milk..It's good.. we'll see in time

Spicy sweet floral gourmand with the honey as the main star. Wear with caution in hot climates as it can get very cloying very fast

This is lovely but a bit too clean for a honey scent. If you want real honey+flowers get raheeq by nusuk.
