Well... maybe if she smokes three packs of Pall Malls a day, then chews the filters off for extra nicotine, and talks like Patty and Selma from The Simpsons. Then yeah... I guess you could call it unisex. Before the clone police show up, understand this: I usually own the original before I buy the dupe. I pay my dues. I compare them side by side, and I don’t mislead people with my reviews. Royal Tobacco as well as interlude are of the best fragrances to wear when you’re around fire or smoke. A few sprays after smoking brisket all day or clearing brush or camping life—it just goes hand in hand,. It doesn’t fight the smell of smoke; it becomes part of it. So I blind-bought this one based on a recommendation from Cuba on YouTube, and he wasn’t wrong. Is it an exact copy of Royal Tobacco? Maybe not to some. But I own both. Both have aged now. And it’s close enough that we’re splitting hairs—especially after it’s had time to mature. Smoky, pipe-laden, mysterious... with just a touch more freshness that gives it broader appeal. Performance on newer batches may be a little more restrained than older bottles. It may not be an exact match in performance, but it captures the heart and soul of the fragrance beautifully This isn’t fruity candy. It isn’t vanilla pipe tobacco. It isn’t fresh-out-of-the-shower clean. It’s raw. Sugar-free. Unapologetic. A cloak of pipe tobacco and smoke that lets you disappear... while making anyone who catches your scent wonder what kind of story follows you. If you love Interlude Man, Raghba Wood Intense, or Torino, this is your lane. It’s darker. Wilder. A little untamed. The kind of fragrance that lingers after you’re gone, like smoke rising from the heart of a fire—stubborn, haunting, unforgettable. And as always with divisive scents. here we go. Just Keep in mind that puppies can’t hang with the big dogs yet. They need to grow a little first, so it’s best they stay on the porch where it’s safe. Little dogs love to bark. Opinions are free and that’s fine, but loud noise is unnecessary and easy to make. You’ll either love it or hate it. But If you want to make noise or listen to all that go ahead. But I would never mind the noise. When the little dogs quit yapping and making noise , the facts still remain anyways. Or more simply put: Truth don’t need trolls to go to sleep before it can pass . It’s already there . And The truth is that French Avenue knocked this one out of the ballpark. Maybe they added just enough freshness to tempt the masses, but they kept the character that made Royal Tobacco the special polarizing beauty that it is. For mature noses only. Royal Tobacco at $200? Maybe. This? Pure magic for under $50. If it disappears tomorrow, I’ll mourn it. Until then, I’ll keep my wrist glued to my nose and enjoy the cloak of smoke that turns the ordinary into legend.

** This stuff is powerful. Initial spray and about 2 minutes into the experience is heavy Basil and tobacco (Gives a very powerful fennel vibe) and heavy spices with a very light citrus and an extreme amber accord. To me the Basil and tobacco are popp'n when first sprayed. After a few minutes the basil mellows ever so slightly, and you can pick up on a little sweetness and citrus with the tobacco and amber getting stronger. Mid is tobacco in your face with a slight sweetness and you can pick up on the cardamon and balsam. What does it smell like mid to dry down? Well... If you've even been to a Cigar shop and smoked a few with the old timers telling their stories of life, you'll understand. It's a dark smoked tobacco. Like if you smelled a pipe after it was smoked with high quality leaves or smelled a robust cigar after it was put out. not really ashy but burnt tobacco. The other notes give it a creamer feel. The cardamon and fenugreek add a slight sweetness. This stuff is a heavy tobacco scent with other notes to help round it out and it does a pretty good job. Dark with rich tobacco, basil and an amber-extreme profile. If I were to wear this at the office, it would be 1 spray and people would think I was just smoking a cigar. I love this stuff, but I don't have to many occasions where I would wear it out. This will be more of a "Me" frag I will enjoy at home and cold winter nights out at a Wine bar.

It smells like "city camouflage". It smells like artificial ash made in lab specifically to hide you between factories, USSR houses, dead trees. It smells like your grandpa used his parfume and was cremated instantly and in matter of respect you applied it all over your body. If autumn was a scent, if "I don't give a shit" could stink. This is smell of war against people, it is a scream of a soul, it smells like depression, agony, hate. It gives you a glimpse of understanding people, who were chasing love until disgusted by humans. It feels tasty, but gives you fear, like your last meal before death sentence. Not a blind buy. If you tried and liked it, then buy and get blinded by beauty and disgust it brings into your nose. It is hard to describe, how much I love this perfume, but I have tried.

French Avenue; Magnum Opus This is not a scent; it is a statement carved in fire and shadow. Magnum Opus opens with a fierce clash of spice and incense, sharp and commanding, like a spark struck in darkness. It evolves into a dense, smoky heart of tobacco, resin, and herbs, deep, intoxicating, unapologetically bold. Nothing here is easy or polite; everything is deliberate. As it settles, warm amber, dark woods, and a balsamic haze linger on the skin like the echo of a powerful last word, slow, intimate, unforgettable. Magnum Opus is challenging, intense, and magnetic. It does not chase approval. It claims presence. A fragrance for those who wear power quietly, and leave a mark permanently.

Huge black licorice and shisa/nargile blast in the opening, not exactly harsh on the nose but very intense! In the drydown it gets smoother and a bit more resinous and ambery with a hint of smoky sweetness. In my opinion it's a very masculine leaning and somewhat challenging scent to pull off for most settings. On my skin the performance is nuclear! From the moment i spray it on (3 sprays) it can be smelled by anyone within 2 meters and easily fills a small room. Longevity is also great, easily lasts the entire day! Well worth the money if this kind of scent profile floats your boat.

This is ridicoulosly close to royal tobbaco,i have smelled the og with my wife right now and have this, in the air nobody would ever guess which is which,side by side 90%+++ I have to mention this needs to macerate and will become very close to the OG.Performance is nuclear.This is not for everyone,nor the OG.My wife hates tobbaco but loves this, it gives her overbaked panettone with spicys which is interesting for me.Wearing this frag gives a huge aura,with the right outfit.

It's one of my best blind buys. I've seen the comments below and I can't see any reason to hate this fragrance. It's inspired from an Amouage release bro so what did you expect? JPG Elixir? Be serious now. The only negative thing about this is the pathetic atomizer lmao but this perfume is a fucking. Kinda similar to Firestorm Extrait from the same house, which is inspired from The World According to Arthur Penhaligon's, but much better in every way possible, . fucking/10

I just got it.First impression,very nice spicy ambery tobbaco with bergamot,really nicely blended smooth.After some time, changes to a dirtier smoky tobbaco which gives a huge aura and luxury feeling.Very strong ,will update on performance later,also let it rest some weeks,im sure it will be even better.As i smelled the OG this i remember it smelled like this so definitely in the dna, for the price cannot complain a word.

I tried Royal Tobacco, and it truly delivered a wow effect. Later, I blind-bought Opus Magnum, but unfortunately, there was no wow factor this time. I don’t recall noticing some spices mix I use for cooking meat(fenugreek?) in Royal Tobacco, but here they feel dominant, and I’m not completely happy with that. So it feels a bit strange for me, but I still think it is a good fragrance.

You will either love or hate this one, period. It is a very polarising scent from the opening to the dry down. But if tobacco-spicy is your thing, then you are in for a treat. I have issues with its performance, though, so I will let it sit for a while and see what maceration does to its longevity and sillage.

This is an excellent clone for the price. Opus Magnum is not suited for the normal nose. If you want a niche fragrance, this would be an excellent recommendation for someone who likes the notes. Performance is nuclear without becoming unbearable. Another slept-on beast from French Avenue!

Karşımızda iyi bir Amouage replikasi var. Orjinali kadar kuvvetli ve ondan biraz daha konforlu. Tütün daha yumuşak ve lavanta ile uyumlu. Tabiki orjinali gibi bu da gençler icin uygun degil. 40+ cok sevecektim. Özellikle resmi ortamlar icin ağır başlı ve kalite hissi yuksek bir parfum.

In my opinion this is 85 percent to royal tobacco. It's missing some of the green touches but it's honestly amazing how close it gets. Performance is up there with royal tobacco as well. 10/10 from me. After having this a week it's a beast. Should be rated as enormous/ eternal.

It's odd how every review is negative and yet this has a 4.26. I bought this but haven't got it yet. I've yet to try a French avenue that isn't fantastic. I love royal tobacco so I'm hoping this is similar. I have charuto regal reserve but it's missing the tobacco note.

Update: Left it to macerate for about two weeks now. The opening has gotten a lot better and has become less harsh. Performance also increased although it was strong straight out of the box. Getting a lot more incense and tobacco on the dry down.

I have more than 200 fragrances, trust me this is the darkest one I have that is made actually for Super bold. Buy it blindly if you like smoke.

Its really a great smell for the winter. It reminds me of a smell that burnt charcoal used in shishas has.

Nose Note #818 This is one of the strongest fragrances I've smelled in my life. I've given it two full wearings (i.e. on the body to go outdoors) and both times I got a swirly headache. It's not that it's a bad scent, it's just so overpowering and the profile is one of a kind, with this I cannot forget that I'm wearing a fragrance, because there's nothing like this that I've smelled. It's definately one of the most realistic tobacco scents that I've encountered. This is wet oily tobacco. Super wet and super oily. Look at the picture of peru balsam above in the notes and imagine that it's the tobacco that's dripping off the spoon. It's not super dark, but it's just so tobacco... Our friend came over to our house one day and I often show the weirdest fragrances from my collection to entertain the guests, so I gave her Opus Magnum thinking she's going to be jumpscared, but I was so surprised when she really sniffed into it and said she would love to smell this on a man and that's it's a wonderful mens perfume. Wow... And she is really fainthearted, mind you. This coming from her really shocked me. So yeah, this is ubermasculine. One of the most masculine non leather or oud fragrances I've ever encountered. I've previously heard that fenugreek is a stinky thing, and maybe this is what's adding to the composition. There's something about it that really doesn't connect with me, it's almost revolting. There's also an underlying greenness beneath this supreme tobacco accord that's wonderful. What I'd love to get across in this review is actually the next: this is truly in the best possible way a masterfully created perfume and the quality is on par with what Amouage usually produces. It is amazingly strong. This deserves to be rated "eternal" like no other perfume. Fragrance World and French Avenue are not always consistent in their efforts (and neither are Amouage or any other house), but what they achieve 90% of the time is an unmatched price vs quality value. This perfume is for the niche lovers to allure them so that they finally realise that something on $400 level can be sold for $40. For the life of my I cannot understand why French Avenue clones this, but doesn't clone legends like Beach Hut Man, Journey Man, Lyric Man, Imitation Man, EPIC MAN (!!!) and hype monster Outlands (as of Jan 2026). Do not go beyond 1-2 sprays. This perfume is no joke. This is not safe for a blind buy, needless to say. 7.5/10, very hard to wear for me, but it's a gem in my collection

After 20 mins, to my nose, it smells exactly as I remember Royal Tobacco in terms of the actual scent itself. Only difference is Royal Tobacco was A LOT more potent than this. Which, in my opinion, is a positive thing that it doesnt project too much. This is strong enough not to overwhelm and still its very strong.

I think I would have to try this again, but the initial spray was an overbearing mountain if spices. This is similar to RT, but bolder and more brash. 5/10 imo

MONSTER bruh waht the heck is this performance, people could smell it from box of decant, after I sprayed it and closed in in a floor, after 3 days of spraying, no perfume in the whole entire world performs like this. red tobacco, black oud, sauvage elixir, dont even come close to this. its unwereable, smells really really old. dont buy it. I like tobacco , red tobacco my fav, but this is just bad.

I would say this is about 80% simillar. just got it today so no maceration but it smells as a less sweet but more greenly royal tobacco. it doesnt lack the complexity and refinement at all. i would say that if u like royal tobacco which u should try before buying this u would 100% like this aswell.

Very strong spices in the top notes i smell for 4 hours the smell of spices and a lot of cummin and it doesn't leave my skin at all i have to take a deep shower to remove the perfume from my skin , I'm sorry but i don't like this perfume and i would not buy it at all that's an honest review

this smells like an old, overused shisha with stale tobacco. It's basically one long, monotonous shisha accord. Strong performance, sure—but who actually wants to smell like an overcrowded shisha bar? Not for me. 2/10

Oh it’s so so interestingly weird. If I were to describe it in one word it would be "Grownup". It’s a very ashy tobacco, incense, lavender, black pepper, with some THICC slightly sweet resin. Very unique, definitely not a safe blind. I’ll see if it will grow on me over time. But for now it’s a 6.75/10 Update 1: It grew on me 8/10, but the drydown kinda resembles instant ramen seasoning for some reason? Update 2: ...I don’t know what happened...it was good...now I’m literally sickened by it. 3/10

I didn't like it. It reminds me of the smell you get when you're changing the sweet shisha tobacco in a hookah—kind of that end-of-the-night mix of charcoal, water, tobacco, and flavored molasses. Overall, it smells like a hookah lounge after a party, with ashtrays, tobacco, and stale smoke lingering in the air.

This is just bad formulation. Absolute joke. I hate how influencers hype these fragrances. I only get Oilbanum, and a hint of burnt tobacco and incense ash, in a bad way. This should smell manly, but instead it smells as if you work in Oilbanum factory and drink cheap cigarettes. NEVER BLIND BUY! This it for me with French Avenue, I own 7 of there fragrances, the synthetic sharp smell I get in almost all their fragrances drove me to never buy any french avenue perfume again.

A clone of Royal Tobacco ? This must be a joke taken too far. RT is in a class of its own, its teacher got fired. UPDATE: I gave Opus Magnum a try and its not a bad clone. There are just level to it. But, OM is no pushover.

There will NEVER be a worthy clone of Royal tobacco, royal tobacco simply contains too much quality materials to be put into a $40 bottle.

This is something an exorcist or an undertaker would wear. Very occult, dirty, dark and repelling.
