This leans more towards Killian's Old Fashioned, and makes an instant impression with its powerful bourbon and chocolate notes right off the bat. This is a strong blend of boozy, spicy, and woody aromas overall. The mint note then sneaks in and this is where things get polarizing. When mixed with the strong booze and chocolate notes, the equally strong mint makes the whole concoction take on a different level. Some have noted it smells like chocolate mint candy. To other noses, it may come off as cough medicine or nail polish. The result is understandably polarizing. This likely needs time to smooth itself out. This is very masculine and easily niche quality. Performance is insane. It'll be killer in cooler weather and definitely make people notice you. Unless you're in a bar or restaurant or any other environment where the aromas can be lost. Otherwise, expect to get a reaction. Rugged and masculine aren't usually how you would describe a gourmand fragrance, but this absolutely fits that bill. Highly recommended.

This is a cologne/perfume for people that enjoy good bourbon/rye whiskey. This smells exactly like a cold winter night. Popping open a bottle of good bourbon, or to be more specific. A good rye whiskey. Maybe even the two. Sitting by a fire, eating good dark chocolate and snacking on some Oreos. Bourbon can have notes of chocolate, cinamon even mint. Rye whiskey being brighter has notes of mint, basil, grass, cinamon, citrus etc..... Both being aged in Oak barrels... Overall a very mature scent that is suited more for older males or mature individuals. It's not a crowd pleaser and certainly not for everyone. But just because you don't like it, it does not mean it is immediatly bad. This is amazing stuff. And one of the best boozy, true to life scents of an actual liqour I have smelt. Smells more realistic than Killian Old Fashioned.... I'd wear this on a cold night going to nice cocktail bars where you may smoke a cigar or enjoy liqours on the rocks or neat. Or have a few manhattans or old fashioneds. Or you could wear this while camping, sitting by the fire at night and again, having a drink, maybe a mule.... Overall, amazing stuff. But certainly try it, before you buy it. This is not a dupe of anything. But it certaily is high up with amazing scents like Lubin Idole or Korrigan. Atkinsons Grand Reserve, Killian Old Fashioned, Black Phantom, Nasomatto Baraonda etc. It is dark, mature, extremely boozy and unique. Extremely high quality for the price.

I just got this and tested it for 2 days, it is actually one that grows on you more and more, take all of your preconceived ideas about what this is because it’s a unique and original creation. It starts out with a blast of super realistic booze, bourbon to be exact. It is blended with this creamy chocolatey mint, slight cinnamon but isn’t really that detectable not like the original Royal blend. It is really really nice and high quality smelling for the price on fragbuy. The very far dry down next day on clothes, does have a little resemblance to the original angel share dna. But this is NOWHERE in the realm of angel share Paradis, not even remotely, I absolutely hate Paradis, the raspberry note sucks and it’s basically a rose dominant old lady smelling fragrance mixed with angels share. This one is chocolatey minty in the creamiest way drenched in booze. Everyone else voting this as similar to other things doesn’t know what it smells like

I blind bought this and I will say that; ITS NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY: if you really like a cinnamon, realistic whiskey (Bourbon ish), a tiny bit of dark chocolate, and a little bit of that wood smell then this is for you (it’s sounds nice but it is harsh so watch out). Overall I actually really like this fragrance: I’m all for stuff with their own twist and not an exact “dupe” and also I love warm, unique scents. It gives this Christmas vibe to it (An alcohol Christmas lmao) and smells amazing. My bottle was long lasting (8-12 hours) but projection was eh not terrible but def not good (maybe a person next to you can smell it). So it’s def not a safe blind buy but if you like that Whiskey, cinnamon, chocolaty, minty, wood vibe then I def suggest giving it a try in a store and seeing if you want to buy it. SCORE: 8/10

Royal Blend Bourbon is not a dupe of any angel's share or khamrah, This is on of the best boozy fragrances I have ever smelled. It smells like whiskey and chocolate with a touch of cinnamon that makes this one of the most delicious fall/winter fragrances ever. I love this, the dry down also reminds me a little bit of spice bomb (I think it's because of cinnamon) Overall a great fragrance. It's high quality for its price, it's long lasting, And it smells sexy and masculine. If you don't like angel's share because you think it's too sweet or feminine, You might like this one because it's a different direction.

Just got this 2 days and it's already became my favorite in my whole collection. It smells like it costs several hundred dollars. I'm extremely impressed with the whole royal blend line. Performance is insane on this as well. It's beyond beast mode. Chocolaty mint, bourbon, and oak are what i get out of this. 10/10! People saying that this smells like nail polish remover need to get their nose checked. This doesn't even remotely resemble that.

I've macerated this for 7 months. Although i can say i absolutely love this scent, i can also say that im unsure wearing this to please someone/anyone because this is not mass appealing and definitely not a safe blind buy. Very hard to wear, needs a very specific occasion to pull it off or just home wear for the vibe if you love this scent profile like i do.

My favorite of the royal blends and a top 5 in my collection of 500. Has a dark chocolate mint vibe with a heavy dose of bourbon. I honestly don't get any cinnamon out of it. When you first spray it, it's extremely strong but once it dries it's more moderate. Best boozy fragrance I've ever smelled.

This may not be for everyone but damn, it's definitely for me. Whiskey, chocolaty mint and oak are what you will smell. Insane performance, and just an absolutely beautiful fragrance. 10/10!

Strong unique opening but the drydown is delicious

Nothing at all like AS Paradis. It's predominantly an oaky chocolate mint that becomes more and more crystalline-sweet with time. I was expecting something super rummy or closer to a realistic whiskey, but the closest it gets is to those buttery alcohol chocolate hard candies you eat during Christmas. In fact, right from the beginning it has holiday candy vibes written all over it, but in a very oaky and aromatic way. Especially because the mint comes out screaming. Kind of a strange combo initially; but at least you can detect a hint of the bourbon booze in the sillage. To me, in no way does it smell like you've been drinking all night so that's not a concern. More like Santa's Christmas village at the mall. lol Can't say that I was immediately a fan. In terms of the notes, I'm not sure what Peru balsam smells like, but 100% this has a dark cocoa powder in it. Don't get any lavender either. With notes like basil, mint and lavender I was hoping that it leaned in the classic gentlemanly direction but no. Starts off with the mint, then the oak and dark chocolate come in, and finally the cinnamon and sweetness. But once again, the booze really comes out in the sillage only; so if you go sticking your nose in, you'll just get less and less. Good news is that I don't have anything that smells like this, so as far as blind buys go, it's still a win, ESPECIALLY during the winter holidays. Unfortunately, the quality is still mediocre because I keep getting that candy connotation, but it's pleasant nonetheless. For a first impression, it's an easy like - not a love. As for the presentation - awesome. The cap is plastic, but it's nice and heavy and the bottle looks absolutely beautiful. The box itself is super heavy and the foam that the bottle sits in is very deep and tight (giggidy) so there's little chance of it popping out, unlike the Moonstone line. Very decent atomizer too, but it's not exactly pressurized. Honestly it was between Vintage and Bourbon for me and I'm not disappointed. You just have to let that booze come to you instead of being a fraghead and digging deep. lol And performance - on the good side of average so far, but I expect it'll get a little richer with time. Really digging the ambery colour of the bottle though. The cap is the right colour in the pics, but the bottle is definitely darker. Initial take is probably a 7.25/10. Not great, nor overly boozy, but a solid oaky feel and get ready for that mint. Hope that helps.

I've had this fragrance for about 5 months now and I finally came to understand why it smelled so nostalgic initially. Couldn't figure it out back then, but I knew it wasn't those damn chocolate mints. Now that the potency has gone up a bit, I was getting wafts throughout the day and it hit me. Basically, it's everything I wanted Kryptomint to be. In fact, part of the fragrance shares some similarities with Pure Tonka so it's almost like a hybrid of the two, only 10 times better. Not only does the mint not smell like toothpaste as it does in the Mugler, but the boozy base combined with that warming gourmandish woods is so much more rich than nearly everything in the A*Men line, including Pure Malt. In fact, if Mugler had put this fragrance into a dark green bottle with an ambery star, it might've been hailed as one of the best flankers of last decade. Something about it just feels so satisfying, to the point that I can EASILY recommend it as a replacement for Kryptomint if you're looking for something similar. It just won't have that crappy hollow plasticy base of the original Mugler. As a result, my rating has now gone up to 7.8/10 from 7.25. Really liking the material quality in the RB line to the point that I'm definitely picking up Vintage to layer with this autumn. Thumbs up for what was initially a blind buy mindf***.

It starts with a huge blast of whiskey almost overbearing like the smell version of doing a shot of something that's not super smooth, but not rot gut either. This is not hyperbole it smells like you have been drinking, and if you get pulled over wearing this you might have to take a sobriety test. The strong alcohol smell goes away after a couple minutes and then it smells like a slightly higher end whiskey brand made their own version of Fireball. At the midway point it smells like oak aged whiskey and those cinnamon covered nuts that they sell warmed up sometimes. The final destination is basically slightly more woody version of the middle. It doesn't perform the best, but it's not weak until after about six hours then it's a skin scent. I'd say it projects really well for two to four hours and somewhat okay for four to six hours. I don't spray clothes, but the scent rubs off on my shirt some, and when I smell my collar I can kind of smell what people who claim they smell chocolate are smelling. I think it's just a woody spicy booze, but it almost smells like dark chocolate, and maybe even somewhat like coffee. I like this stuff a lot, and it's unique, and I'm glad I bought it.

Nose Note #705 I wish it was something like my beloved Lalique Ombre Noire, but it isn't at all, in the least of senses. Imagine a mix between By Killian Straight to Heaven and Aromatix X Xandal - you'll get this. They have definitely got the raisin rum note very well. The downside is - it smells somewhat like expired poor quality chocolate coating. You have to like a rum note and a chocolate note to fully enjoy this. Probably the least crowd-pleasing flanker of the Royal Blend series. 7.3/10, still very interesting, high quality, strong and pleasant UPD: yea 7.3 is fair. Great longevity. The scent is somewhat like X Xandal, I wonder why more people didn't upvote it. Similar vanilla caviar scent, but not as sexy, more mature, more niche. This will definately find an audience. Or Imagine Akro Malt, but not as crazy niche

I don't get chocolate vibes, mostly just drinking whiskey in a forest. Moderate sillage and projection, it's not as strong or even like Khamrah like others have stated. Not unisex, and best suited for colder weather due to the notes(not necessarily the longevity or projection) as I sprayed multiple times and it didn't light the room up. Would I get it again? Maybe, but not at the overpriced sum.

I’m 18 this is definitely a suited and booted type of Fragrance not for the faint of heart. Personally I love the smell of bourbon and this gets this smell perfectly. It also has a hint of chocolate. Chocolate bourbon is what I smell and I love it . Will I ever wear it? No I won’t this is a more mature scent. I’m surprised chocolate isn’t in the notes tho

Blind bought this since I'm a fan of Killian perfumes. Royal Blend Bourbon is way stronger and smells dark chocolate. This scent is very subjective so don't expect wild compliments yet a good blind buy for me but I hope this will mature and gets better like the royal blend. I'll update month after this review for a much better insight of this fragrance.

This new Royal Blend offering just arrived this morning and my anticipation was dealt a blow after spraying it. The presentation is as always, good for the price of circa $40 but out of the 4 RB’s that I have, and the 20 or so FW/FA fragrances in my collection, this is the only one that I can say is disappointing. Although the original and Nero follow a similar theme, and Vintage is massively boozy, the only Bourbon I’m getting here is like the Bourbon biscuits I used to get back home years ago. A chocolatey cream fondant sandwiched between two dark rectangular cookies. I get milk chocolate, dark cocoa and a bit of mint but absolutely no bourbon whiskey. Maybe it’s because it’s new and it’s just out of the box but I’m surprised as the others hit well from the first spray immediately and the brand to date has always delivered. If there is any bourbon note it is muted for now and the bottle is now back in its huge box in the cupboard for a month or two to see if anything changes. This is not like any by Kilian fragrance nor any other fragrance for that matter. Whoever says it is must be smoking some good gear. If you’re expecting to be wowed by this, contain your emotions as it’s just not what I was expecting. There’s nothing inherently wrong or offensive with it, it smells ok but it’s just like if you’ve gone on a boys night out on a Friday night and you’re buzzing for that first drink and you head up to the bar expecting to be greeted by a buxom fit sultry barmaid but when you get there she’s actually an old guy with one arm and he’s only serving Diet Coke with chocolate bars instead. It’s kind of like that feeling. Let’s see if anything changes and matures in time. Later today I’m expecting the just released Lattafa Khamrah Dukhan to arrive. I’m hoping it doesn’t follow a similar thread to this one and Dukhan could win the battle of the day for Lattafa. UPDATE: 48 hours later: I'm definitely getting more pronounced essence of biscuit/cookie (however you word it) and it's a lot stronger than first out of the box. I still don't get the Bourbon whiskey yet but let's see what happens in the days to come....

This fragrance is most definitely not blind buy safe. It is very polarizing and very intense. When I first got it I absolutely hated it. It macerated for around 4 months sitting on my shelf not being used, when I gave it another try it was much better. While still very strong it is now wearable during the winter. Smell it before you try it, and do not expect to use it anytime soon once you purchase it. Not bad if you have a collection to use until it macerates.

Do not drive while wearing this! It's pure Bourbon smell. Comes across like a glass of Maker's Mark was spilled and you're in the middle of cleaning it up. I love Bourbon, and do like the way this smells, but it feels almost more like a scent for the bar in your house. Can not wear this without giving off that strong booze smell, and not in a sweet spicy way. Straight up booze.

If you like the smell of alcohol, dark chocolate and wood you might like this. It's okay but I don't see myself wearing this. I don't drink so I might just put it on when going to a bar to say I already had enough if people ask me why I'm not drinking. Even tell them I actually spilled some on myself. Try it before buying unless you're really really into raw alcohol smells.

I got royal blend Bourbon and royal blend Vintage as well, i like the Vintage very much, and they are very different. but Bourbon is not for me, it has a type of sweetness and creaminess i dont like at all. i also very much dislike angels share and khamrah. im saying this because these 2 are somewhat in the similar ball park. they both have that unique type of sweetness. i like sweet fragrances very much but not this DNA. that being said, and me having a very odd and unusual taste for fragrances, you will probably like this and hate Vintage.

Opening is lowkey sickening as it straight up smells like chocolate mint with some light booze. After it dries down for a couple of hours it starts to smell yummier but that chocolately-ness still lingers in the back which i dont love. Smells like a cinnamony booze and although i've never smelled bourbon i'd assume this isnt that far off. Definitely a unique fragrance and I think if given the right user and place this could definitely be a good fragrance but I dont think its for me.

Starts off very loud andlike someone poured bourbon straight into Lattafa Khamra. The opening is harsh and boozy, and while it softens into a more kind scent around the 6th hour, it’s just not for me. I won’t be recommending this one. If you're curious, definitely sample before committing.

A truly challenging and avant-garde scent. It rejects mainstream notions of 'pleasant' and instead offers a bold, uncompromising statement. After 15 minutes, I realized it was simply too sophisticated for my home and decided to donate it to the rubbish bin, where its unique bouquet could be appreciated by a wider audience.

bro i really wanted to buy this as im a fan of boozy smells, but this wasnt it. smelled like the mouth of an alcoholic and really stank. dried down into a LITTLE bit of cinnamon, but still too boozy 2/10 do not pick up. decant if u really wanna try but even if so ur gonna waste ur money

This might be the worst fragrance I’ve ever smelled saw someone said that it takes 6 hours for it to become a wearable scent and I can attest this is an absolutely horrid fragrance of straight whiskey that does not mix well with the peppermint basil and basalm. 0/10

Very strong rum smell, and the chocolate isn't pleasant as well... Good thing I got the decant before blind buying a full bottle. I would have been cooked

Just got a small sample and tried it all day yesterday...first impressions before maturing it yet etc....are sharp and chemical opening, dries to a strong whisky with mint dries down to a chocolate cinnamon coffee cookies type vibe Although i am not somebody who celebrates Christmas as i not from the christian religion, this smells like spending a few hours on a frosty but happy evening walking around Christmas street markets in Europe, maybe they weren't trying but the manufacturers have nailed 100% the scent of the week before christmas in Germany, Austria, Poland, Belgium, Holland, France etc...with that festive boozy shot of whisky, waffles, chargrills, candy apples, and all kinds of chocolate and sweet roasted nuts and sweet treats for the kids in the air. Thats a very happy smell. Its lovely and gives me a huge positive vibe to wear it. Its mostly whisky then minty chocolate baked bread or cookies. Its a straight up like and hopefully this will age a bit and get better with time. Longevity about 7 hours, but low projection so far which is my only disappointment with this. Might mature and get better over time perhaps. I might end up falling in love with this, at the moment its a little too sharp but i really like it. But time will tell as i think it might mellow and broaden as the weeks go by. Basenotes are a little faint and contrast too sharply with the sharp whisky. So far...an instant like, an unusual masculine gourmand thats a bit different and definitely charming and warm to wear through any chilly night. This would suit a log fire magnificently. I've got a log fire ready for winter, so i'm happy as a butchers dog. Santa Claus himself wears this fragrance. Fact. UPDATE....gave this a wear a more few times, since that review. 2 months have passed, its colder here now (around 7-12c average) and this has got so much better in the colder temperatures. It has settled down, gained fuller body and more woody basenotes, the oak barrel smell is there, setting the honeyed whisky accord and everything else off magnificently. I love this actually. The cold temperatures have done this a real favour, it seems to shine brighter and more prominently since the cold nights are drawing on. Its a very beautiful scent with maybe average longevity and projection. Strong enough for me to be happy with my purchase. recommended for mature gents and gourmand lovers looking for something a little off-key and a classic gentlemans club vibe. I'm hoping to keep wearing this all winter inshallah. 7/10 for me

I usually like to leave a long review about a perfume to settle out some opinions, but this needs no words. I agree with the comment below and the one below that. Oak barrel whisky chocolate mint. Wow. If you feel like throwing it in the bin, I will be your bin. Just throw it my way. Have Royal Blend, Royal Blend Nero, Royal Blend Bourbon and my next stop is Vintage, then Sequoia. Excellent quality in all of them so far. Royal Blend original is still being described by my wife as the main panty dropper. The problem I'm facing now is that this is turning into an obsession. Oh well. could be worse... I could smell bad I guess.

This is choclate mint with some booziness in the background. Similar to the handmade choclates with alochol which is available during christmas. I dont like khamrah or any other variants of that due to its sweetness. Royal blend nero from this line is much better than any khamrah version. The performance on this is not very loud compared to nero but this is good in its own ways. Very balanced profile not overly sweet but a perfect balance of minty chocalte and booze. I will observe this after a month to see if maceration changes the performance of this one.

“Bourbon liquid-center chocolate” If you ever had those alcoholic chocolates, this is it, less bitter, more spice from the cinnamon. Gets woodier and less chocolate-y as it dries down. Incredibly smooth. Some might find it too gourmand, but this hits the sweet spot for me.

I was the most excited by this one but I’m disappointed It smells strange and not perfumey, a mix of cooking spices and body oder. It smells intriguing and unique but I will have to train my nose to like it

i absolutely love an alcoholic type of smells like bentley intense or jazz club, but this one is not my type. i mean the cinnamon is so overpowering yo mama could use that for christmas

As someone who collects both bourbon and fragrances this does not smell like bourbon. Smells like straight up synthetic chocolate with a little bit of cinnamon in the worst way
