Spectre Ghost

I really liked the blend of vanilla with that citrus opening and that ginger that tags along through out the transition almost uptil the end. It dies on a vanilla barbershopy note and has a beautiful journey. Since my bottle is fairly new and hasn't completed a month in my frag den, it seems to have a tid bit synthetic opening and also seems to not last more than 6 hours but I have inquired that this needs to sit for a while to give optimum performance so backing that for now. As for the nuanced scent profile, it starts with the citrus which gets a zesty almost spicy kind of vibe in the opening and then that citrus tames down to make way for that pepper spice but still stays in the background. Through out the transition the perfume carries Vanilla through and through that final showdown is all about that woody mossy vanilla. I think the patchouli here is one that has that wet earthy almost mossy vibes. The fragrance is an year long fragrance (Indian weather context here especially north) except high heat period of 3 months where the vanilla can be an irritant. For anyone working indoors office it works well in summers too if you aren't exposed to the sun too much. However, I'll advice that unless you absolute adore this DNA, don't make it a summer fragrance and especially if you have too much outdoor exposure. In terms of the 'Duping' side of it, it DOES clone Nishane Ani pretty well and the trade here really (for an immature batch for me atleast) is that it does away with that Nishane Ani polarizing opening and kinda tones it down to seem a lil synthetic in the initial minutes of its wear. Spectre Ghost opens with a piercingly fresh blast of ginger that instantly hits the nose — tingly, and almost sneeze-inducing. It settles quickly, still very much present but no longer overpowering. On skin, the composition reveals its complexity, while in the air it leans more vanilla-forward with drops of citrus. The vanilla here isn’t thick or dense — it’s light, and fluffy, making this a perfect vanilla scent for spring or cool, transitional weather. That vanilla-citrus combo is wrapped in a fresh spicy character with a woody backbone that grounds everything. The bergamot is blended in seamlessly — not loud, not screechy, just a supporting player that adds brightness. After that initial ginger pop, it gets softer and closer to the skin, losing that sharpness from the opening and revealing a smooth, masculine, sexy edge. There’s a subtle green nuance that reminds me of freshly cut grass — crisp, clean, and slightly earthy. Despite being an EDP, the performance is surprisingly strong — it wears more like an Extrait with how long it lingers and evolves on the skin but how close and constant the projection is after the opening. I picture this as a crisp autumn day. You’re at home, catching whiffs of vanilla pastries baking in the kitchen, that warm sweetness filling the house. As you open the front door to leave, a cool gust of autumn air rushes in — sharp and brisk, it stings your face and tickles your nose. But once that moment passes, the scent of freshly cut grass and chopped wood drifts in behind it. It’s familiar and comforting.

At first I wasn't a fan. It's an incredibly intense smoky vanilla fragrance along the lines of Musc Ravageur. I've never smelled Ani, but regardless of its accuracy to its inspiration, it stands on its own merits. This is one that smells great in the air, and shouldn't be judged nose to skin. There is something in the DNA of this fragrance that bears more than a passing resemblance to other clone fragrances like Club de Nuit Intense Man, which sounds strange, because that is a super citrusy chypre, but this comes off as an extremely sweet vanilla version of that. In the air, this smells absolutely amazing, and this is coming from someone who totally passed on this stuff at first. To me, it has replaced Musc Ravageur as my favorite vanilla fragrance, and I far prefer it to Althair and other similar scents. For its price and current availability, I can totally authorizing blind buying 1 bottle. I would also say don't pass judgement on it too quickly, because it takes a little experience to understand for sure. Use cases are what you would expect for a strong smoky vanilla scent. I wouldn't wear it to the office unless it's a single spray under the shirt and you're really committed to the idea lol.

I bought this without having smelled Ani... so I guess I was influenced :)... I love it. The ginger plays such a nice contrast to the beautiful vanilla peeling behind it in the opening. All for the roles to be reversed in the dry down. I didn’t think I’d be attracted to ginger that much until I smelled this. It’s like a ginger fresh vibe layered on top of a warm vanilla lemon cake... the ginger stops this from being overly gourmand. I’ve used half the bottle in 4 months, and with it maturing in the bottle it has gotten better with performance for sure. This all prompted me to buy the OG... so now I have both. I think Ani is clearly using better ingredients, and has a slightly more intricate dry down process... the spices and woods shine a little more with a more expensive vibe. But TRUST me there are days that I choose Spectre Ghost because I know that I can overspray and get nearly an identical smell in the air. I love how people put their noses all into their arms looking for intricate differences with these dupes. Of course there are differences!!! But in the air, and on the scent trail this one is so close... if you are on the fence I really wouldn’t blink.

When i first sprayed it i felt disgusted and i regretted it but the more time pass and i smell it frequently the more i started liking it and i can say this one of the best perfumes i ever smelled in all time i get bergamot vanilla rose more than anything tbh it's not for everyone so u have to try it first or at least smell the og which is nishane ani which is 1:1 i swear this stuff is identical "after the dry down like 15-20 minutes" now when it comes to performance i'd see so many comments say that it doesn't last long or not more than 4h bud i swear i get 11h and skin scent over 12h even after i showerd i can still smell it btw that longevity when i first got right from the box, well i don't think it's daily driver it lean more to special occasion date or somthin ,i can say u can wear it at any seasons maybe it lean slightly to winter/spring but u can still definitely wear it on summer now it's 37° and i sprayed 4 times not to mention Jeddah humidity ia crazy and it's totally fine it's already nuclear performance u don't have to overspray although im overspray person but with this one is different

I’m honestly shocked at how many people are dragging this sent through the mud!!! It is remarkably close to Ani having smelt both I can personally speak on this. It is for sure, the best if not the only Ani dupe worth buying. I’m not sure if there are any other others but this is for on the same levels as Liquid Brun in every category!! My Brazillian brother brought me to the Nishane brand, upon smelling Hacivat I fell in love and bought it immediately. He later brought Ani to work to let me smell that and I fell in love with that one as well but it’s so linear in regards to scent that I was on the fence about buying it. Once I found out about French Avenue's Ani, I was compelled to try it, considering how spot on Liquid Brun is to Althair. In my humble opinion this is better than Ani due to it being more versatile because of the citrus added to the DNA, it has the same longevity, better projection and great quality. I am saddened by how much hate this is getting but ai can’t personally share in that with you as this is for sure in my top ten🙌🏾

Never smelled Ani. When I first got Spectre Ghost, longevity on skin was 2 hours, synthetic vanilla, not well blended. Three weeks later and longevity is now 7-8 hours on skin and much, much better blended and nuanced. Smells like a high-end lemon tart cake, with a light, airy, yet rich vanilla and spice aroma. Very niche. The vanilla has a slight tart sweetness that is well blended with all the other notes. Unisex but leans masculine. It has a bit of a PDM Layton dry-down vibe. Very nice, I like it. Like all Middle Eastern fragrances, will likely improve further with time. As of now, the overall blend and oil quality is a bit better than Liquid Brun after 3 months of maturation. For $35, for me a 10/10. If you like PDM Layton, you likely will like Spectre Ghost. UPDATE: It has been almost two months since I first got Spectre Ghost. Blend and richness have improved further. Just purchased a backup bottle. Very addictive. It has become my favorite vanilla-based fragrance. If you spray twice in the same place, it will dry down richer.

Spectre ghost is best described as a vanilla cake your mom made with fresh spices lacing each bite and a hint of lemon wafting through the air. It opens with a harsh ginger-cardamom mxiture which i wont lie, was borderline acerbic when i first got it and also killed the citrus this perfume has. After a month however its smoothened out, creating a lovely, spicy opening to this fragrance while letting the citrus come out. As it settles down the vanilla starts to shine, with slight rosy and woody undertones complimenting it. It is linear post dry down, so it doesnt have insane depth but its a good scent profile to be linear around. This remarkably has unreal performance for me, with 5 sprays enough to create an good sillage and stay for upto 9 hours. Beyond 6 sprays I believe I'll start scorching peoples nostrils so I'll remain in moderation. Spectre ghost was a much welcome surprise and is a pleasant fragrance for gourmand enjoyers.

Initially, I found the scent harsh and almost nauseating, prompting me to leave it undisturbed. However, upon revisiting it, the fragrance underwent a significant transformation. I have had the opportunity to experience Nishani Ani on numerous occasions, and I firmly believe that I cannot discern any discernible differences between the two. The perfume boasts a delightful vanilla note that lingers and projects exceptionally well. However, it is crucial to exercise caution when applying it, as excessive spraying can result in an overpowering scent that may intoxicate a crowded room. Therefore, I strongly advise against making impulsive purchases. If you are considering acquiring this perfume, I recommend allowing it to macerate for a minimum of three to four weeks.

the PERFECT fragrance for every posible occasion. It is a light, fluffy, airy vanilla scent that is topped of with sparkling ginger and bergamot in the opening. the drydown fills the air with a beautiful vanilla that makes people want to walk past you again. i will admit the opening can be the smallest bit offensive IF its your first time smelling a ginger heavy fragrance. it took me 3 days to start loving it. now its my favourite part. there isnt really any time this fragrance doesnt work. its versatility is unmatched. its never boring. its never bland. fragrantica reviews can be so missleading. i smelled this in store and fell in love with it. i looked at fragrantica and people are going as far to say it smells like bird crap. What?? dont get scared away from a banger fragrance by people going out of their way to hate on a scent profile that they havent smelled more than once.

I am very surprised at the negative reviews on this. I blindly bought Spectre Ghost, and I don't own Ani Nishane - so I don't have a reference for this, per se. But immediately, I have loved this scent. Some say it gets better after a few months, and I am excited to see that. As for now, I've only had it a few days - and I think it's amazing. Update: I've worn this quite a few times since purchasing it a few months ago. I've received many compliments from strangers. One in particular said, "I love your cologne - It smells nice without being overpowering". This was from a store clerk at a convenience store. I find this to be true about Spectre Ghost. When I wear it, I spray it rather heavily - like 5 or 6 sprays. Most colognes, I apply 1-3 sprays. It doesn't project like it should, so I spray more.

Nose Note #715 People are saying this is different from Nasheet. Well... It is, but still the two are very similar - in the air their are identical. If you compare them side by side - yes, sure - Spectre Ghost just feels more interesting, more complex and rich. I think it's also longer lasting. And it still smells like a lemon tart with a lot of crumbs. Very unique. Very memorable. Not the most crowd pleasing fragrance, but it's heading there. It's definitely easy to like. To me that's perfectly unisex. Not much masculinity to it. 8.8/10, it's like Mancera Cedre Boisee, but with a spicy ginger twist UPD after a year. Just amazing, I like it much more now. Forget Cedre Boisee, this is just something else. Lemon tart + medicinal tint - yes, but it's beautifully unique. Superb performance. 9.5/10

This one is a killer. Love the scent profile, the opening is pretty harsh, but it develops into this sweet, kinda frutty spicy vanilla. It is a beast when it comes to longevity and projection. On skin 12 hours on clothes, about a week. I sprayed on a cardigan of mine just 2 times and my whole corridor smelled like this perfume for a strong 5-7 days. It's a very sweet and distinct scent profile, wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy, but if you like these sorts of scents you'll love this one. Extremely sweet, pretty woody, just a bit of freshness to balance things out, pretty dark scent, wouldn't recommend for when it's warm outside, pretty overpowering, but overall amazing. Bought this and Spectre Wraith, extremely happy with both for my collection.

After many months of considering whether to get this on account of having similarlyish scents in my shelf the likes of Liquid Brun and Khamrah Qahwa, I pulled the trigger and got this. OMG! This is a beautiful scent! Not at all redundant if you have done similar scents to this. It has this beautiful vanillic peppery ginger sweet scent that's insanely addictive. Straight from the box, without even resting it, it was a beautiful scent. Definitely getting a back up bottle of this! Now it doesn't project too much, which is ok with me, but it lasts a pretty long time. I can smell it on my clothes for over 12 hours and on my skin it just doesn't go away.

Niche Quality Vanilla for a Steal—Absolute dupe of Ani Wow, just wow. This smells so much more expensive than it is. It opens with a bright, zesty blast of ginger and bergamot that's incredibly refreshing. But the dry-down is the real star—it settles into the most incredible, creamy vanilla. It's not a simple sweet scent; think of a high-end lemon pound cake with real vanilla bean and a touch of warm spice. Performance is fantastic. It lasts all day with a beautiful scent trail that gets compliments, and it's a true beast on clothes. If you love Nishane Ani or just want a sophisticated, spicy gourmand, this is a no-brainer. 10/10 from me.

This would be near perfect if it weren’t for the opening. Genuinely takes 30 mins to fully dry down and is very very gingery in the beginning and it’s powerful. Once it dries down though it is like pretty much perfect. Sweet vanilla heavy ginger cookie with a slight lemon that is soft. Definitely one of, if not the greatest, vanillas I have ever smelled. Lasts about 7-8 hours and in the first 2-4 hours it projects really nice. Around 4-6 feet. Note: If you buy this, make sure to spray 20+ minutes before you go to any public setting. As someone who oversprays I managed to choke out a bus with the sharp ginger opening.

what a journey. Firstly i coudn't fully like it because it smelled too much like beeswax. It lasted a couple of weeks until it finnaly settled in. First moments after spraying we getting a fresh, floral and gingery opening. Personaly I don't like it much but the dry down is the thing that everyone desire. Initial scent is getting much more smooth thanks to cedarwood and vanille. In spite of it, there isn't prominent scent of vanille nor wood, rather very subtle ones. Longetivity and projection is crazy. After 3 hours it is smellable from 1.5 meters at ease. Total longetivity is up to 10h.

Just got this in today so I can't speak for the longevity but the profile is pretty good. When I first sprayed it something in the opening immediately reminded me of a couple different scents in my collection. Like if you took a small splash of cedrat Boise and mixed it with a little eternal oud. Into the mid and it drops the sweet citrus thing and is more like eternal our but still quite different. Not as spicy at all and more smooth with the vanilla. I very much like this fragrance and will be putting in an order for ani very soon. I hope ani also carries the CB style opening.

When I first got this I wasn't the biggest fan so I let it mature and its now much better. It reminds me a lot of when I would bake with my mom growing up, the vanilla in this is smells like vanilla extract you use in baking. The opening is this fresh spice with the ginger note that I was at first not a fan of but grew to appreciate, it lingers around throught the whole dry down. The dry down smells like a fresh baked lemon cake. I havent tried Nishane Ani so I cannot compare it but as it is, this is a very good fragrance and would reccomend checking it out.

Im in love.. my brother bought it and i thought it was gonna be a fail, simply bec the bottle is beautiful and i thought no way the scent is also great, too good to be true right? but omg this thing is majestic, majestic. a mature cardamom-bergamot fresh creamy powdery luscious vanilla that is absolutely eye rollingly good. bottle, atomizer, SCENT, and even the longevity is genuinely fantastic, projection is prob good too i assume but thats for people around me to judge. is it a safe blind buy, maybe not, but im in love with it

Masculine leaning fragrance, evenly paired ginger and lemon, but the vanilla takes the edge. There’s this soft airiness provided by the combination of those 3 notes that just makes this feel like a lemon pie is just in front of you, but the fragrance removes the acid feel of the lemons and leaves just that gourmand soft vibe. I still haven’t had the chance to try this in a crowded place to test its appeal, but I wouldn’t say it’s offensive, just don’t overspray bc it ain’t Bleu de Chanel either.

Great gingery citrus vanilla, not your typical pure gourmand vanilla but it's still nice. One thing I haven't heard anyone bring up is that in the opening the ginger and citrus comes together to make a pine type of smell. Its not terrible, but it's all that comes to my mind in the opening and if you read this and smell it you will probably get what I'm saying. Really good vanilla nevertheless. Side note for whoever designed the spectre bottles: that isn't how bullets work

I received this last week - the scent is very nice, sweet spicy baked goods kinda vibe - the performance is dire, sprayed 6 sprays and an hour in skin scent was barely noticeable on my wrists - my partner said she couldn’t smell anything - not great compared to other FAs I have over rated imo Update 1.5 months after maceration: performance is still ass and the ginger opened has become toxic - back in another month... minging at the mo

Perfectly balanced scent compared to other vanilla out there. Love the fresh spices in the beginning and the heavenly vanilla smell when it dries down. Not overly sweet which makes it even better. Could have been a 10/10 if it lasted longer on my skin. Highly recommended. To be noted: let it sit for about 3 to 4 weeks because i've got rubbery smell during the initial sprays. However i let it sat for a month and it kinda dissappeared.

The fragrance isn't weak—you're just going nose-blind to it. I gave it to a friend, and he sprayed only two sprays. We were sitting in different rooms, yet I could constantly smell the vanilla. When I walked into the room where he had sprayed it, the whole room was filled with that rich vanilla scent. I can understand if some people feel the longevity isn't exceptional, but I'm convinced the projection is a beast.

This is absolutely not a mass appealing scent, imo. The black currant and ginger play together in a way I feel like some people will definitely not enjoy. For me, it’s a unique woody, spicy vanilla. Almost smells like a classic barbershop fragrance if that barbershop was in the basement of an abandoned Victorian era house surrounded by cobwebs. Or if you opened a can of shaving cream from the 1910s. I love it.

On my skin it’s ginger heavy. Warm spices and vanilla. The performance is exceptional, lasts me the whole work shift, with presence the WHOLE time. The word fresh should not even be considered to be associated with this scent. It’s heavy for sure, spicy for sure, and I see it as an extremely viable office / wedding / mature scent. Do I like it? Yes. Do I recommend it? If it fits your needs, yes.

I love this. Straight of the box the scent is already perfect, and I expect the opening to get closer to the dry down as it macerates(it is an EM fragrance after all). It’s 90% of the original Nishane Ani, which for the price it’s amazing. Projection is moderate, but longevity is very good. Got a large batch of EM fragrance samples and this is one of the few I immediately ordered a bottle of.

Never smelt the real ani but the stuff might be one of my favourite perfumes of all time, literally smells like a gourmand vanilla pound cake. It’s deffo on the unisex side but I think the pink pepper and ginger (which are subtle) just tip it to masculine. I can imagine with a bit of macerating it will get even more thick and creamy. 100% recommend of you like vanilla fragrances

so smooth! initially a citrus bomb akin to other freshies but dries down to a smooth creamy vanilla. i personally think it could be worn all year round. very unisex to me. pressurised atomiser, edgy bottle design, nonlinear, great smelling scent, just an all round bang for a buck perfume. disclaimer, i have not smelled ani by nishane so i can't speak on the similarities.

This fragrance is a sleeper hit. You get that initial rush of fresh spice layered over a comforting core of vanilla and woods. The real magic, though, is the drydown: it’s soft yet undeniably room-filling. It projects quality and refinement without being aggressive. This is an excellent, sophisticated take on a warm, spicy profile. Verdict: 8/10

I traded this and have regretted it since haha. The performance was absolutely beast mode, but the scent was inoffensive. Very seductive, smooth vanilla. I'd say it is almost unisex but have to classify it as masculine leaning. I would highly recommend having this in your collection especially considering the price point. I'll be buying another.

Straight up, spicy vanilla with a little powdery hint. I love it, I’m enjoying very much wearing this. A very very good take on nishane ANI. For someone who’s into vanilla as a fragrance, this is a blind buy safe I’d say. Very good projection, lasts around 6-8 hours on clothing. But wouldn’t recommend wearing this on a cloying summer heat.

This is a nice, unique vanilla scent. It smells a lot like vanilla extract you cook with, which I think is great. It’s not too heavy like Liquid Brun. I much prefer it to a lot of the other hyped vanilla fragrances such as Liquid Brun or Teriaq Intense. It’s a nice, spicy vanilla, and not over bearing. 8.5/10.

The opening has ginger and vanilla, evolving into a weaker citrus and vanilla drydown than the opening. Very good for dates, and if you're going to the office, use a few sprays and choose a mild climate. I use 8 to 12 sprays. Long-lasting and strong projection. I recommend it and would definitely buy it again.

Opening was heavy with the smell of pink pepper and started to dry down into an almost mouthwash-like scent which I didn't enjoy. However, the final dry-down is really pleasant with a more subtle vanilla scent than I'm used to and a minty/citrusy undertone. This feels like a nice night out fragrance.

Took my surprise! Beautiful scent and for me it projects really well. Affordable and a compliment machine! Pressurised atomiser as well. Overspray friendly if you wait atleast 15 minutes since its a bit heavy on the ginger before drying down. spray on clothes! It lasts until its washed haha.

Whoa whoa whoa. I must say that this fragrance is unique from the collection of 40+ perfumes that I have. It smells good and let me tell you one thing, if you want to smell like a young mafia boss of 35-40 who loves tobacco, this is the perfume you should buy. It lasts so long. Rating 7.5/10

Wow this stuff is something, Its a Citrusy winter fragrance that can work in the warmer weather, you get hit with this amazing citrus and ginger mix followed by smooth cardomom and sweetnes in the back from vanilla then the fragrance evolves into a somewhat creamy lemon cake with vanilla.

I have it, i love it, i dont know why, but i am picking more cardamom in it (which i am enjoying). For me its a vanilla pound cake loaded with cardamom and hints of ginger. I am not able to pick any of middle notes. I don't know why this one is getting so much hate in comments.

This is in the middle between LIDG and LIDGE. I have LIDG and it is one of my favorites and currently wearing Ghost, it can easily pass as a clone. Very very nice. I was searching for a clone of LIDG andthis is totally fine. 8 hours on skin till now, we'll see how far it goes.

This smell like bug spray at the First days but bro Holy Molly this thing is soo good for the right wheater 10/10 But the ginger at the start is a bit too strong And i am Lucky vcs this on my Skin last the whole days probly my strongest fragance for my skin

this one suprised me when i got it harsh opening let it sit 1 month.... ...WOW fresh ginger, aromatics and the star Vanilla. This fragrance is the star in my collection. performance is tops 10 hours first 2 strong till 8 small buble after skin scent faint.

Starts very lemon cakey, then turns up the herbs and ginger for a while. Then it slowly goes back to the vanilla smell while maintaining the spiciness until it becomes an amazing vanilla scent with the green spices supporting it in the background.

This is great stuff. Very rich spicy vanilla, masculine and refined, a steal at the price. I'd highly recommend it. You don't wear the bottle but one of my favourites and the vaporiser is amazing. Feels like it's worth at least 3x it's cost.

Spectre ghost isnt just another gourmand, this is a whole lemon cake bakery in a bottle. lemon + vanilla + soft spices = like biting into a freshly baked, frosting-covered cake fun, cozy, and totally edible vibes 8.5/10

At first I was unimpressed with this fragrance but after two months of sitting on the shelf I put it on and wow I'm in love. I can't get enough of the opening and could easily just keep reapplying every 30mins.

I just got it yesterday and I am in love with it. It is not in your face, in my opinion. Truly unisex. I do not like the opening, but after a few minutes it smells great. It is pleasant, clean and classy.
