Zenith Deep

I have been on a long quest for a more budget-friendly replacement for BDC EDP or Parfum. I own bottles of both of the Chanel frags, but they are starting to dwindle. I have also bought, own, and have tried MANY clones and they were all severely lacking. The search is FINALLY over! I heard good things about Zenith Deep, and have had some very happy experiences with French Avenue. I ordered a few small decants of this one last week. The first night I probably used .75ml and it smelled very nice, closer to the Parfum than the EDP, when I woke up in the morning I smelled the area I had applied it and it honestly smelled oddly like BDC l'Exclusiff, I took a shower, changed and reapplied quite a bit more, probably 1 whole ml over my chest, clothes, and arms. This time I got BDC Parfum with EDP undertones. Throughout the course of wearing it for several hours, it definitely had a dry down much closer to the EDP, which is a great thing in my opinion. I like the opening of Parfum a little more, but it's very linear to my nose, the EDP starts very fresh, but I like the EDP dry down much more with the beautiful creamy mix of sandalwood and incense with that signature powdery goodness. I don't really know how I had gotten the l'Exclusiff esque drydown the night before. I ordered a bottle of ZD the same day. This is an absolute home run! I can't wait for my bottle to arrive. It seems like performance is a little better than BDC Parfum and a little worse than the EDP, about 8 hours total wear time (although I don't know how much maturation had taken place between the seller opening the bottle and decanting it, it's possible it hasn't fully matured yet). This has all of the same use cases as the EDP, 4 season friendly, smells very upscale and nailed that Chanel DNA that was missing in other clones/inspired by frags. Update: got a full bottle of this and it arrived today. Definitely needs to oxidize and mature. Atomizer is a fire hose! The opening is very synthetic and off-putting from the fresh bottle, it was much smoother from my matured decants. It smells very synthetic like CDN Iconic in the opening. After 10 minutes, it's very close to BDC Parfum on skin, but on clothing it's MUCH closer to the EDP. It basically gets to the a similar place as the samples as it dries down more, just not quite as smoothly. I am glad I sampled it first, or I would have been very disappointed. Can't wait for this bottle to hit its stride.

This is easily the most accurate and refined BDC EDP dupe I have put my nose on. Zenith Deep opens soapy and fresh, grapefruit-dominant; with an ambery, slightly leathery, and musky base. It has a dense, creamy, spicy-fruity sweetness from the nutmeg and melon heart. Comparing side by side, I believe Zenith Deep has captured this "core sweetness" of BDC EDP very well. It's actually fruitier and sweeter than the OG. What really sets ZD apart is that immediate and distinct incense accord the OG has. It does have that incense note for sure, but its different — less burnt/dusty/woody smelling, and has more of a smooth, soapy feel. In this regard, one could say the OG is "darker" even, due to having a smokier, woodier drydown; whereas ZD is "denser" in a sweet kind of way.* Dries down with a balsamic, incensy, and resinous warmth. Very addictive and manly. Not too far off from the OG. Zenith Deep is a very good fragrance on its own, especially considering the price point. Performance is good — 3 hours of actual projection, and stays on my skin for 10 hours. French Avenue have really nailed it with the Zenith line, and this is an extremely safe blind buy — about as safe as blind buys can get. There's just one singular con in the entire Zenith line, and that is the atomizer height relative to the casing diameter. They should raise the atomizer height since casing keeps catching sprays. Tedious having to wipe it after each use. ✅Excellent 🙂 Bonus — vs Club de Nuit Blue Iconic by Armaf 🙂 🔵CDN is brighter, fresher, and muskier. Captures the OGs grapefruit-mint opening, and is fairly close, but lighter in the drydown.* ⚪️ZD is denser, soapier, sweeter — melon-y, and more incensy. Overall more accurate, if not sweeter than the OG.* Both are excellent BDC interpretations, yet very distinct. Not necessarily redundant owning both as they're different enough, while being great layering partners.

This perfume feels high quality, my batch is from 2 months ago and i sprayed it right after opening it and it had no harsh alcoholic scent, nothing off-putting, just feels high quality. Scent-wise it feels very close to BDC edp, at least from memory, I have a full bottle of the OG. Soon ill do a side by side comparison to give a more detailed explanation about where and how much it differs but right now it seems like it is just slightly darker or deeper, could be from the stronger incense. I also have a bottle of CDN iconic, and although I really enjoy iconic, I can say that zenith deep comes off as higher quality and smoother with a slightly different scent profile. ( but dont get me wrong, iconic is still great, if you dig your nose into it you will feel the screechiness, i believe its from stronger cedarsmoky woods notes, but in the air, it smells incredible, so I don't care about how it is from extremely up close, its irrelevant IMO, even the whiffs I get from my neck smell great and balanced and completely different ) Longevity and performance right now is moderate, I'll need to test it properly but from first impression nothing impressive but not bad as well, I'll see if it will improve overtime ( freshly opened new batch after all ) 8.7/10

french avenue is always present with a nice smell in my opinion, this one is around the smell of bleu de chanel parfum and edp version, with around over %90 accuracy overall if take both into account, the dna is very present and really pleasant, it's wearable throughout the year, you might need extra sprays on winter though, it is long lasting and sillage is really moderate, as long as people go by your side they will get the smell for the first 2 hours quite easily and afterwards they will still smell it but it will be weaker, exactly how i like it actually. if you have a lot of perfumes and you will use this as a summer fragrance, you might consider club de nuit iconic but if you are looking for an all arounder parfum that you will use for a long time zenith deep is a better choice imo. scent: 10/10 longevity: 9/10 sillage: 8/10 price: 9/10 overall: 9/10

Final verdict: don't waste your time with other BDC clones, this is the best one. I've tried all of the big ones with the exception of the new Extrait version of CDN Iconic. This sits perfectly between BDC EDP and Parfum, the mint is more prominent, but the powdery creamy dry down is perfectly replicated. Longevity is good 6-8 hours on skin 10+ on clothing, great projection in the first 2-3 hours. All season safe, may need a bit more in the cold. Unisex leaning masculine, elegant, clean, beautiful. This is the only clone to nail the DNA, I will probably never buy BDC EDP again, I may splurge on the Parfum if I found a good deal just because it does hold up better in the cold. This is just so good, I can't say enough about it. This is the best fragrance purchase I've made in 2026 so far and my wife and I both love it more than the real Chanel frags.
