Amalia Gourmand

I love, love, deeply love this perfume (my older batch) I have (almost finished) an older batch, older bottle, like pictured above but with the red juice. It is a delicious almost gourmand combination between a fresh cut jasmine wich is slowly, butterly swallowed by the Dulce di Leche with a touch of vanilla. The opening of the perfume with the green, fresh cut Jasmine is a little bit sharp for my Gourmand-nose..but the dry down is really heaven; a mouthwatering dulce di leche-jasmine-vanille combo. My older batch has a short green opening from 5 minutes, than it becomes sweeter and for hours i can enjoy my heaven. So, yet my bottle is almost empty and i bought a new bottle from another / newer batch.... and strange enough is it almost another perfume! The green, almost chypre opening (oakmoss, YlangYlang..) is during Hours and Hours and the heavenly gourmand sweet drydown just 20 minutes and than its gone... I wrote Fueguia about this..but got no answer..i was curious.. .So i hope they read this and they can explain why 2 perfumes with the same name can be 90% different from eachother.. So, If someone still has an old version of Amalia Gourmand in the back of a dark, dusty spot in his or her perfume cupboard ... I'd like to take it over! Edit; After a while i received an email from Fueguia; it is like i wrote; older (before 2016) batches are different from newer batches. The older version is still for sale in 100 ml as "Vintage Collection".

Just purchased this immediately after smelling it in store. Absolutely stunning syrupy thick almost mentholated jasmine. Easily my favorite from the entire house. 10/10. Jasmine is not a floral scent I like but the way it's done here is perfection. Not indolic at all. If you like Angelique Noire from Guerlain you would enjoy this. They have the same herbaceous sweet scent profile.

A Gourmand of the house and me seems to be excellent. Jazmine to the pricipio, with very good projection, vanilla and a soft smell of sweet of milk like note of bottom. He feels rich in the skin, calling the attention because this one if, it is outlined. Longevity 8 hours. Of generic and linear, nothing. 8 applications. Thin and different she is Amalia Gourmand.

One of the most beautiful intoxicating sweet perfumes. Reminds me a bit of hookah scents but definitely more complex and rich. My first from this brand. It’s an amazing fragrance. Love at first sniff!

Like a sun-drenched jasmine bush in full bloom, forever at its sweetest peak, drenched in sweet nectar. I want to drown myself in this and bake in the sun and become one with it.

I wouldn't call this complex, but if you like clean, freshly laundered jasmine, this fits the bill perfectly. In fact, the more I smell it, the more I can't help but be drawn to its gentle, child-like simplicity. The image I have in my head -and do forgive me because this is a strange one- is of the young empress from the 1984 fantasy film "Never Ending Story". It smells stark, pure, sweet, with an intense white glow. There is a crisp dryness to the petals which stops it from being syrupy or cloying, and the sweetness from the vanilla and dulce de leche is far more subtle than I'd anticipated. This is not a gourmand to my nose, and nor is it pungent or offensively indolic. Yet there's definitely something sparkly and enigmatic that makes it stand out among the countless hundreds of sweet jasmine fragrances out there that I've tried. Fans of "Signorina" by Salvatore Ferragamo should love this one.

Waow! How can three notes make such a complex fragrance!?* This is really top notch, the quality is amazing. It lasts and projects very well! This is pretty much a stunning white floral fragrance. Do not be fooled by the Dulce de Leche note in the Base, overly sweet this sent is not. I did expect / hoped I would get this overdose of yummy Dulce de Leche smell, however I did not. However this scent is in no way disappointing, it really is quite addictive. It really reminds me of the drydown of Sensual Tuberose Bois 1920. *The reason why I find it complex is because only Jasmine is mentioned as a floral note in the top. However I feel like that white floral note is very complex as if they used different species of Jasmine flowers to produce different spectrum of the Jasmine scent. Also for some reason I get the feeling that I am also smelling TubeRose

I have quite recently sampled it at the store in Buenos Aires by spraying generously on the wrist and wore it for the rest of the day. As the liquid was bright red, so became the wrist. I can not imagine what it would do to the white shirt. The composition is definetely pleasant and evolving, very sweet and overwhelmingly so. Though it is a gourmand, too much sugar can make any fragrance feel adolescent and less than sophisticated. For the price($150 - 30ml) and concentration - perfume I would have expected much better longevity than 4-5 hours, so I decided against buying the bottle of any size right away, but the store has assured me that they are going to sell samples of the best selling perfumes online in a couple of months, so there is a second chance.

I love it so much on test paper but it doesn't work with my skin. To me this is a gourmand floral scent and the prominent note I would say is dulce de leche. The jasmine balances the dulce de leche and prevents it from being cloyingly sweet. The vanilla creates a soft and subtle base for the scent. This is super nice and I love it so much! What a pity it becomes sour on my skin. Probably because of the jasmine. It always turns sour with my chemistry.

This is very similar to Watch M. Micallef. Amalia Gourmand opens somewhat more floral, but in evolution are identical. Gorgeous fragrance!

And of course, where do I find this? I go to the website and they do not sell perfumes or samples. What is the point adding fragrances to the database if I can't purchase them on the website.

So so curious about this one as a jasmine fanatic. 🤤🥰 It's on my to buy list, but i'll get the 5 ml sample pack first to try it out in different situations. 😁
