Cuarzo De Los Andes

Cuarzo de los Andes is built around a distinctly mineral–musky structure that stands apart from conventional perfumery. The opening feels cool, crystalline, and textural rather than traditionally “fresh”: an impression of cold stone, clean air, and subtle luminosity. There is no obvious citrus or sweetness — the effect comes from transparency and mineral tension, which immediately gives the fragrance a unique identity. As it develops, the composition becomes smoother and more diffusive without losing its clarity. A soft musky veil integrates with the mineral core, creating a refined, almost weightless texture. The woody facet remains abstract and understated, acting as a structural backbone rather than a dominant note. Evolution is subtle but continuous, driven by shifts in transparency and diffusion rather than overt transitions. The technical balance is impressive: controlled projection, coherent diffusion, and a stable, quiet persistence on skin. It does not aim for volume or density, but for precision and atmosphere — and it achieves this with remarkable consistency. What makes Cuarzo de los Andes truly stand out is its singularity. Few fragrances explore mineral texture with this level of restraint, clarity, and compositional focus. It avoids sweetness, avoids heaviness, and avoids cliché, resulting in something contemplative, modern, and unmistakably individual. Not designed to impress loudly, but to create a distinct and refined presence that is difficult to replicate.

The most natural rose in my collection. It starts immediately with a beautiful sweet, earthy amber and shortly after the rose joins the composition but it doesn’t overpowers it. The rose smells extremely natural, with some sweet, earthy, mineral and green undertones that stay like that for the duration of the fragrance. Longevity is about 10-12 hours on my skin with a moderate to high projection for about 3 hours. On fabric I literally spray perfume on my coat November last year, it’s February and the smell is still there. The 100 ml bottle is extremely expensive for what it is but if you can afford it and like rose fragrances, you will absolutely love this one. Lastly this beauty leans masculine on my skin but it can perfectly be unisex.

Cuarzo de Los Andes is another stunner from the house of Fueguia. To me, it smalls naturally good, like all Fueguia fragrances, but it lacks the distinct Fueguia DNA, which is present in so many of their fragrances. It has the Fueguia vibe to it, just less so of the bas DNA, it only becomes somewhat evident in the deep dry-down. Cuarzo de Los Andes feels like a pure, crystalline, natural stream on a warm day in the mountains that is running over minerals and warm rocks and has pink rose petals in it along with some other gentle flowers. It is on the more expansive side of Fueguia offerings, but it’s so good. Definitely leans feminine and fils a bit delicate, which is perfect for spring, summer and early fall.

I adore rose so this is excellent. It’s always impeccable perfume perfection with Fueguia. This one reminds me of a softer version of Biblioteca de Babel but with added rose. I’ve smelt the auricaria (monkey puzzle) resin from my parents tree and here it adds a fresh green aromatic nature. The amber is very subtle, adding a slight fresh spice on the top rather than making the base heavy. Overall Cuarzo De Los Andes is a soft, subtle and gentle fresh rose on a soothing and woody base. Longevity isn’t great unfortunately. An awesome fragrance though.

Devastatingly beautiful natural Fuegeia offering showcasing actual fossilized Patagonian amber resin. The scent has only four notes. The central animalic and dense amber note is surrounded by a lovely Patagonian rose, plant based musk mallow and the local auricaria (monkey puzzle pine) tree resin. This is heavenly stuff if you can get your nose on it. The unisex scent has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. Expensive but worth every penny. Enjoy!
