El Otro Tigre

Surprisingly gentle for the name it has. On my skin, it starts with a warm musk that is a bit naughty in the back and it dries towards a floral, sweet and creamy area, that I associate more with a feminine universe. I would say this is beautifully balanced, sitting on lots of limits: clean but not pristine, intense but not aggressive, elegant but not discreet, vintage in a way but not nostalgic; like a comforting hug of an old friend. Personally, not the type of fragrances i wear but I would love to smell it on someone else. I'll consider layering it with a bitter wood or a green scent to warm it towards the fall. It changed a lot with time so i would advise wearing it a couple of times before you go buy a bottle.

This is a bit of a slow burn and I think needs a couple of wears to evaluate. I’m in love with it now though. Yes, it smells like the listed notes. It also smells like the sweet animalic musks listed by the brand (but in their sweet furry form not the rank type). I’ll even allow a bit of anko per the previous review. That’s all true and great but it was my last (and most important) observation that sold me on this: it smells like my sweet toddlers head. Musc Ravageur was her tiny baby head, this guy is her current little “I commonly stick chicken legs etc in my hair” head. And it’s wonderful.

A simple floral woody musk with animalic overtones. The scent opens with the signature Fuegeia plant based pheromone musks and moves into a heart comprised of ambrette (musk mallow) before settling into a base of tuberose and woody notes. The slight feminine leaning scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Soft lovely slightly feral creation. Enjoy!

On a paper strip, it smells devastating and deeply disturbing and on the skin it is still both of see things though marginally less so. I love me an animalic stinker, but this I found to be antisocial and not enormously pleasant but it is one of those distinctive scents that if it ticks your boxes you will not be able to live without it but a blind buy? I'm not encouraging it unless you like to shock and challenge yourself and have a lot of money to spare. A colleague said 'normally your perfumes smell of old ladies or poo but this is quite nice' but he also said the same thing about Muscs Koublai Khan, adding that MKK smelt clean and fresh. So is he the best person to ask?
