Halo Lunar

Halo Lunar Fueguia 1833. Halo Lunar is a different manifestation of lavender, dried herbs and woods. Extremely iridescent and yet it sounds almost one-part. The violet flower here is camphoric, coolingly zingy, yet dry at the same time. It smells almost medical, or perfumed, or "domesticated". I have met such an opinion: if you have seen blooming lavender in an open area, the image of its sound will be warm, and if not - cold. This perfume both cools and warms at the same time. Behind the main flower one can hear aromatic herbs - some kind of apothecary's garden, they sing in chorus, so that they smell like a single sound and you can't make out their voices separately. The woods are salty and long dried in the sun, like white sandalwood, which on hot days pretends to be agarwood. The composition seems simple and straightforward - I like that. Absolute unisex. I didn't expect to find my holy grail lavender through this house, but somehow it happened. This one isn't as floral as some other lavender perfumes and has more of an essential oil quality but with added woodiness. The resulting scent profile is herbal and bright. I love the smell of dried lavender bundles especially the stems, and this perfume captures that hay-like quality with the wood note as well as the Fueguia base (salty ambergris). Not musky, no barbershop/aftershave hints. Moderate sillage and longevity. I don't smell any powder or sandalwood in this, and have to say Halo Lunar is unique in that many conventional lavenders have either the tonka note to keep the accord warm or the fougere pyramid as support, but this one is a pure woody lavender. Worth a try if you like natural lavender scent! As for me I have a huge bottle stashed away to enjoy this scent abundantly ;)

Halo lunar is indeed goes in the same direction as La Luna from the same brand, but they are in no way substitutes. Whereas La Luna has distinct resins, Halo Lunar has a distinct lavender sweetened by the vanilla. The lavender here is very soft and natural, not the aftershave type. The perfume does not go into the cologne direction (on my skin at least) it stays smooth due to vanilla and refined due to lavender. The performance is moderate and I think it is unisex that leans slightly feminine.

A powdery nocturnal scent inspired by the mystical ring formation of the moon over Patagonia. There are only three major notes that can be detected. A lovely lavender in the opening leading to a solid heart of ambergris and a drydown of sandalwood. The unisex natural scent is fairly linear and has moderate sillage and excellent longevity. Not particularly innovative but still very lovely because of the finest quality of ingredients used. The scent is peaceful and relaxing and perfect for a moonlit stroll. Enjoy!
