Humboldt

Humboldt is easily one of the most natural passionfruit fragrances I've ever come across, and honestly one of my favorites, period. Built around bergamot, passionfruit, and what's listed as tangerine in the base, it comes across as incredibly fresh, juicy, and vibrant without ever feeling artificial or overly sweet. The passionfruit here is the real highlight. It's tart, slightly green, and very true to life, nothing like the overly sugary, candy like versions you often find. There's no trace of that synthetic musky or Ethyl maltol heavy base that tends to show up in more commercial fruity compositions. What really stands out is how natural and effortless the whole thing feels. It doesn't read as a "clean" citrus in the traditional sense, nor does it lean into that laundry like freshness. Instead, it feels more like biting into real fruit in open air. Bright, uplifting, and quietly distinctive, with a subtle sense of space that makes the name feel oddly fitting. Despite its simplicity on paper, it doesn't come across as basic. The composition feels very linear, which actually works in its favor, keeping that fresh, fruity profile consistent from start to finish. It sits relatively close to the skin, but it's definitely present. You're aware of it throughout the wear, just not in an intrusive way. I've seen comparisons to Arancia Rossa, but I don't find them that close. That one leans much more into blood orange and a cleaner, almost musky citrus profile, whereas Humboldt stays firmly in this more natural, slightly tart passionfruit direction. Overall, this is less about projection or making a statement and more about the experience itself. It has this subtle, almost introspective quality that makes it feel personal rather than performative. If you're looking for something fresh that avoids the usual clichés, this is definitely worth exploring.

The first seconds of the opening reminds me of a vodka seven. The lime and the bitterness. Then the maracuya brings a new scent, like something that I never smelled before until I read the notes. And the mandarin keeps growing slowly, coming from the background getting ready to explode in a continuous flow of citrus. I like it, it develops all the time into something else. At first it seems as a sharp lime/citrus fragrance, but then it gets a little tropical and sweet and finally the mandarine as a final ingredient transforms this perfume into a candy, like a orange hard candy. It's different, especially for a guy's fragrance. Definitely a great option to the typical citrus scents. Well done.

Intense juicy passionfruit-citrus peel scent, like the sweetest grapefruit or pomelo, perfect summer perfume for me. Feels like I got out of a fancy spa. Fell in love with this scent when I tried it in the Milan store and immediately bought a 5ml. Even though it's citrus dominant, it doesn't smell artificial and flat like how orange or grapefruit scents tend to be. Seriously so unique and unlike any citrus perfume, I'd buy a full size.

A lovely simple citric gourmand designed as a tribute to the German naturalist. The key players in this scent are a beautiful passion fruit, a juicy mandarin orange and a luscious bergamot. These 3 natural extracts are blended in with plant based pheromones. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Like being in a South American fruit orchard during picking season. Enjoy!

I sniffed this, expecting some tropical, sweet, fruity goodness, but what I got was a bracing, green citrus and a bit of tartness, rounded off with just a bit by a splash of tangerine. This is much better than a tooty fruity cocktail, and I am so happy I made to move to blind buy a decant.

Love this fragrance, bit overpriced though. Starts with an acid citric note, very fresh and natural, which starts turning into a very nice passionfruit note. Lasts around 5-6 hours on skin. GREAT QUALITY, natural notes and product presentation.

The only passion fruit I have ever loved. Doesn't end up drying down to "body order" scent as Tales of Zanzibar does. It's unusual, well blended, and highly addictive. I bought the 100ml and will use all of it.

10/10 what i was looking for. Passionfruit smell. People will be looking around where am I carrying the fruit. In my bag? In my pockets? No. It’s me.

I had never heard of this house until I found a small selection of their scents at a vintage boutique in Stockholm, and i immediately fell for this one, and bought it right away, and it did invoke everything mentioned in that rather ridiculous copy, and I didn’t even read that until afterwards! It has a remarkable longevity for a scent with only those three ingredients, and I can’t believe cedar wood isn’t listed as one of them, or am I fooled by the beautiful wooden box it came in?

Crisp, green, citrus! 🍊 This is fantastic. It’s not sweet at all. The accords need to be adjusted Overall a good release. Refreshing and zingy Only gripe I have with it is its very synthetic undertone which is hard to look past

This is the first Fueguia scent I've tested so far that I immediately hated. It's a harsh, synthetic passion fruit and calone combination that smells more like a can of cheap deodorant than an expensive perfume. Sharp, cloying bitterness that burns your nostrils and leaves a bitter taste on the tongue. Awful.

The bitter passion fruit overpowers the entire perfume. Its very strong and fruity but not sweet at all. It's just not my type of perfume.

Too bitter for me and the bitterness stays around even in the dry down.

The scents of travel Despite many brands and products aim to depict what it's like to travel or aim to inspire the wearer to an imaginary journey, Fueguia does it really well along with very, very few others. Perhaps it's the use of some raw materials that are circumscribed in a specific area or the use of a recurring base that makes the whole line special. Humboldt opens up with a sparkling, green lemon stem accord followed by the amertume of the passion fruit that soon takes the lead of the fragrance. It's not very long until the base of tangerine is revealed which is in some way deprived from its fructosic nuance conveying a note of warm dew. It must be the use of some vegetal pheromones that enrich the wet base of this fragrance of a subtle millet and soy milk note. This perfume narrates successfully of warmth, the "far away" and the "open space", it's absolutely not about an object or a cocktail. Suitable for body and mind refreshment all year round.

Juicy, sparkling cold, sour. Being someone who has regularly eaten Passion Fruit, I can’t imagine biting into one, but I can almost feel the snap of the Passion Fruit skin amid the cool breeze of high elevation. Where I am from, there is cool weather, passion fruit, and Humboldt mountain peak. This scent transports me. Beautiful combined with Muskara. I love cold fragrances for both summer and winter. Ultra refreshing when stepping out of the shower. In summer, invigorating, in winter aligns with the bracing wind and coolness - rather than escaping it.

from a distance it smells tart bright green with a juicy sweetness of a freshly squeezed orange. when up close there's also something milky and sweet-sour from maracuja does remind me of a green (very green!) version of mbucuruja. very uplifting and energetic, in the same direction with Renier's De Lirius, but less shampooey

Probably the most realistic passionfruit. Somewhat similar to arancia rossa, but that one is more about orange whereas this one is more about sour, tart passionfruit. Humboldt also has much better longevity.

dont expect a sweet passionfruit fragrance from this, realistic bitter passionfruit with citruses. still one of my all time favs though 10/10

Very sour/bitter citrus, realistic also. Reminds me of Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine but a bit more bitter.

sinthetic good scent not worth 240$ asking for bottle! its a deja from designer scent!!!!
