Malabrigo

A lovely woody scent with animalic undertones, this perfume is meant to recreate the smell of a vicuña. And it indeed does amazingly. The scent on top has a beautiful woody mix of paolo santo, cabreuva and cedar woods. As it settles a mix of ambery musk is revealed. This is an interesting evocative unisex creation with moderate sillage and good longevity. Recommended for lovers of unusual woody scents. Enjoy!

I also get this sauna vibe. Woods and a bit of menthol. Nice but I am quickly nose blind to cedar and cedar wood like notes. It feels dry/airy/minimalistic. Light freshly sawn wood. Very fresh actually. Dry on a card and more sweet on skin.

Wow I have to agree with the comments below, smells exactly like being in a sauna. Warm, woody, and tranquil. Very wearable, I do love this scent.

Smells like a sauna - at first comes off as smoky with a bit sweet, like a mesquite barbecue. Dries down and the Palo Santo and Cedarwood come out prominently, really giving it that classic sauna smell. Hard to wear as a "signature" perfume since it's not very sweet or cuddly. I will probably dump this sample in the bathtub and have myself a little spa.

Malabrigo è un profumo debolissimo. Non ha tridomensionalità. Gli manca lo spessore. Gli manca la struttura tonale. La proiezione e la contaminazione. E' un legnoso molto ombroso e giù di tono. Assai chimico e perlopiù noioso. E si aggiunge all'enorme catalogo di questo profumiere argentino che a partire dal nome fa credere di avere 200 anni di storia e di vivere in Patagonia. Ovviamente è fuffa per vendere un prodotto da 5 euro a 185 euro.

Just got a sample of this. It's been on my skin for an hour and I've been intrigued by it. At first it comes on like whiteboard markers. As a teacher, this is a smell I'm very familiar with. Then, it calms down and it seems like it's oud. That's where the olfactory trip begins. I think it's an oud scent and that it is okay or not too bad. Then I log on to this site and I find out it a mixture of copahu/copaiba and guiac (sp?) which is making it smell like this. Then I realise how much it reminds me of MFK's "oud cashmere" or the other one (not rose), and I laugh at how I thought it was oud. The way cognitive processing works and the connections my mind made. This is a little dark and heavy. Worth trying...
