Nectar de Coral

Unique lovely floral citrus scent centered around the lilac and orchid flowers. The perfume opens briefly with a burst of grapefruit and lemon before going into a deep floral heart of lilac, orchid and elderflower. The perfume settles on a base of orris, mineral notes and plant based musks. More complex than most offerings of this house, the feminine leaning scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Suited for warm weather for activities like sailing and beach walks. Enjoy!

I will say right away that this particular one from Fuegia did not like it very much, relative to others from the same series Humo de Rubí and Cristal del Iberá using Orquidea Nocturna (Night Orchid from Papua New Guinea). The review was taken from Masha t. me/Kviksja, since we have a common collection. The perfume was eventually given to those who like it on the birthday. Nectar de coral Fueguia 1833. Freshly cut lilacs with greenery and stubby branches in a large enameled bucket. The characteristic honey-bitter smell of elderflowers here is turned into a hearty syrup of this flower, diluted with soda, flavored with gin, decorated with a slice of grapefruit. Somewhere nearby “Corvina Negra” is sailing by, smelling violet leaf, a slice of fresh cucumber, brown seaweed thrown on the shore. Then there is a feeling of porous coral and dried starfish, from which fingers are covered with fine white salt, similar to talcum powder, dust of sand and time.This perfume is more about minerality in my opinion than about flowers.Or rather, the minerality obtained with the help of flowers.Recalled Seahorse Zoologist Perfumes and Fleur de Corail Lolita Lempicka, a bottle of which once lived in my collection. I liked it more, because it was closer in spirit. I think that this unisex will be good at the peak of heat and cold. And also in windy weather, then its not insignificant trail is very beautiful.

Deeply disappointed with this one. I adore lilac and chose this perfume specifically for its lilac note (the other flowers I like too). I was also intrigued by the mention of black elder and other supporting elements. Unfortunately, what I got was something entirely different. Straight out of the bottle, all I can smell is orange peel—sharp, overpowering, and persistent. It completely dominates the composition and never fades into the background. There is a slight creamy undertone, possibly from a lactonic note, but it’s not enough to balance or soften the intensity. The lilac is practically nonexistent. This lands among the very few fragrances I would categorize as a “hate”on fragnantica—simply because the strong citrus (listed as grapefruit in the notes) is something I would never choose in a perfume for myself and especially not for a leading note. I had hoped it would stay in the background, but unfortunately, it takes center stage from beginning to end.

Yay, another fragrance release featuring lilacs... Makes my soul so happy to see that lilac become more and more popular in perfumes 😄
