Oud Assam

review from my wife I was warned that this oud is the most animalistic. Indeed, it turned out to be so. However, like the famous Assam tea, it has a spicy floral aroma and a honeyed undertone. It also features fruity, floral, leathery, and ambery accords. It is incredibly vivid, as if painted with indescribable light from the richly storied region of India, known as the "land of blue hills, green valleys, and red rivers." In my opinion, this is the best oud in the collection! The fullest, splendid in composition, intricately crafted, with a blend as dense as in a sacred cauldron. At the start, I sense an abundance of fruits: tantalizing raspberry, juicy blackberry, sweet dark fig, and slightly tart plum. In the background, the scent of sun-warmed reddish backs and whitish sides of sacred cows immediately joins. Inhale! It dominates with all its inherent animality! Exhale... I sense delicate flowers: Lagerstroemia - Indian lilac, pink oleander, and bitterness. They become elusive against the backdrop of the subtle aroma of Assam tea and the cool clay clinging to the thick skin of an Indian rhinoceros. Its powerful leathery spirit gives way to the high dried herbs, as well as the resins of coniferous trees and the furry paws of the Himalayan pine. The soft lactonic quality envelops the skin from start to finish, like the "embodiment of a dream" - Assam silk, on which all that I have described emerges in a delicate pattern. Despite the complexity of perception, Oud Assam is truly beautiful! Absolutely unisex. And just like Oud Andes, it unfolds beautifully on "cool" skin. Gorgeous indian oud, seems natural. Sits close and doesn't last too long. Outrageous pricing, all things considered.
