Seis Acordes Fueguia 1833 A sun-drenched ,dry, august mixed forest with thickets of flowering heather, mosses and grasses in middle field. If you go step by step- you can smell the spice from start: Grated coriander between fingers, a mixture of five peppers, dried marjoram. Next, verbena with a delicate subtle lemon-honey smell and herbs are included: sedge, umbrellas, ayre, horsetail (those that create the special smell of forest). Somewhere nearby there is clear spring water (or moisture evaporating from plants in the sun?). Closer to base, trees get brighter and louder. Their bark, warmed by sunlight and tears of resin is thicken. The fragrance becomes monolithic, pure, somehow native. Throughout it, a word in my mind is: "SOUND". The 6 notes is clearly about sound. Later I learned that this fragrance is dedicated to a guitar by Leonard Cohen. From all his poetry and genius available, I got struck by his thoughts describing his guitar: “I was compelled (...) to go and open my guitar. I have a Conde guitar, which was made in Spain... I pick up an instrument I acquired over 40 years ago. I took it out of the case, I lifted it, and it seemed to be filled with helium it was so light. And I brought it to my face and I put my face close to the beautifully designed rosette, and I inhaled the fragrance of the living wood. You know that wood never dies. I inhaled the fragrance of cedar as fresh as the first day that I acquired the guitar...” It was an immediate mandate that I had to recreate the scent of his guitar. By wonderful serendipity, in 2017 I visited the workshop of Felipe Conde to acquire one of his famed guitars. We’ve discussed the story of the woods he used, inherited from his grandfather and father, as family jewels. Most of these woods, as being myself a guitar builder when I was a young boy, were the first type of woods that I begin distilling when I started creating perfumes. Canadian cedars, Cocobolo, Spruce from the alps, specially Cypress from Spain, Cedar from Cuba and Argentina, plus the Venetian varnish made from exotic resins which will keep the right amount of humidity on the woods. All these elements create the fascinating identity of the guitar scent, which while being played and getting warmed by the body of the player, starts projecting its perfume through the music as air vibrations. I formulated and produced Seis Acrodes using the same woods found on Leonard’s guitar, it was not created as a perfume but as the representation of the scent of his music, and as a way for us to smell the same molecules he smelled while playing his Cypress guitar.

Simple beautiful aromatic scent that is only composed of three notes. Opening with aromatic cypress it moves to a dense cedar heart and settles on a turpentine like varnish and plant musk base. It is a deep woody show from start to finish and is supposed to evoke the smell of polished stringed instruments like the guitar or violin. The masculine scent ( a more natural version of DS and Durgas Bowmakers) has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Enjoy!

I'm not going to lie. I love this fragrance! I loved it the first time, and I love it the last time. Everyone says it's masculine. I don't care! Also, I don't understand why Cyprus or Cedar has to be considered only for men. I love the smell of any type of wood and I consider myself a very feminine female. For all the other females out there who are hesitant to try this, don't be. You are missing out because this is gorgeous.

Sweet ,spicy, balsamic, woody fragrance that’s pretty much linear throughout the whole length with a vey decent performance. Like all of the Fueguia fragrances this one smells very natural.

A beautiful, aromatic and balanced woody scent with a fresh opening of cypress. Straight to the point with an always bitter, almost thirst-quenching cedar backbone and a bright and sweetish accord of varnish. Vibe similar to Bowmakers with less lutherie and more ... instrument! Absence of smoking fireplaces and flames in the woods. With a simple structure, more masculine and mature, comfortable, with a medium sillage and pleasant whiffs. On my skin, the duration is infinite. A must try for turpentine lovers. More acoustic guitars than violins. Simple is beautiful.
