Angel Dust

Okay, I had to come back to this forum and rewrite a review I posted on Angel Dust Extrait a little over a month ago (had to delete the previous one). In my previous review, I expressed that I was not a fan due to an unrelenting peppery note. I almost sold the bottle until one day changed everything. I figured before selling the full bottle, I’d just give it one more wearing. I walked into the post office and the lady behind the counter reacted to this cologne like I hadn’t seen before. She couldn’t stop saying how good I smelled and telling all of her co-workers. The only other reaction I’ve gotten like that from a cologne was when I shut down a Cracker Barrel wearing Bakkarat Rouge 540 in the early days of it releasing. I have pretty much worn Angel Dust everyday since the post office interaction and have gotten over 10 compliments on my cologne from people I know and complete strangers. Actually, what prompted me to finally rewrite this review was a sweet elderly lady just now at Chipotle saying “Sir, your cologne smells really good”. Mind you, this is after going on a long walk in the heat of the south. I say all of that to say, this stuff hits different when it is on the right body chemistry and it is in the air. You will completely go nose blind to it and it honestly doesn’t even smell all that great when you spray it on. Spells like peppery flowers or something (I’m not good at this cologne description thing). However, it is an easy reach that you can over spray. It’s fun to wear because you never know when the compliment will come, but you have a high percentage of getting the compliment when you wear this. Over this past month, this has become my most complimented fragrance of all time. Who would have known that a cologne I was about to sell would now become my lead horse in the stable. I was recommended to buy this cologne originally after visiting “Refinery Fragrances” in Nashville, TN (check it out if in Nashville, owners are awesome). The shop owner told me it was a “compliment magnet” which is what sold me. Lastly, l barely knew what it actually smelled like due to going nose blind. However, one of my buddies went crazy for this when he was around me and wanted to spray some on himself. After he sprayed himself, that’s the first time I really got to smell it and I understood the hype immediately. Just buy it, wear it, enjoy the reactions.

Sampling Fugazzi Angel Dust Extrait, a 2024 release and follow-up to the 2021 release Angel Dust EDP, though I did not become familiar with the brand until 2024, myself, and hadn’t come across this version until late 2025 at Perfumology, and I recall being more taken by the Extrait than the EDP, with the former as my second favorite from the line after Workaholic. The main notes include dark wood, cashmere, white amber, and pink pepper, with the pepper-and-woods aspect being most prominent with some resins included as well. It has that fine quality of being both pleasant and interesting, familiarly comforting yet not quite a match for something I’ve smelled before, realistic/grounded yet fanciful and elevating, a really nice balance achieved in all of these respects, and where it lands is a versatile fragrance that feels like something that could be worn in all seasons as a signature scent or something special for dressing up a bit. The retail pricing for Angel Dust Extrait is $255/180 for 100/50ml, so not at all uncommon in the current product space, and is sold in the US via great retailers like Perfumology. It feels rich while not being particularly dense or loud. Overall, this is an easy release to love and it makes me inclined to revisit more of the house more closely. 8 out of 10

This one surprised me. At first sniff, I thought it was just okay- lightly sweet and peppery, slightly woody and reminiscent of pencil shavings. I wore this to work and kept getting whiffs of it all day. About six (?) hours into my shift, someone commented on how good I smelled and asked what I was wearing (I love getting compliments so this definitely made me more intrigued). I could still smell it at the end of work, and it was slightly present on my skin at the end of my workout class-- about 12 hours after I initially sprayed it. For whatever reason, the next day I wore it, I fell in LOVE with this scent. It's so airy and ethereal. The sweetness fades over time, but it never becomes harsh or unpleasant. The woodiness now reminds me of the paper used in a good-quality book, but in a delicious fairy way. Its simplicity also means that it layers wonderfully with just about any fragrance. It's reminiscent of the original Glossier You perfume, but in a much more elevated and sophisticated way (plus it lasts 10x longer than You and will linger forever on clothing). It is definitely worth smelling IMO and trying multiple times if you're not immediately drawn to it. I just ordered a full bottle and it will be my daily office scent since it's very inoffensive but still delicious.

When I first tried this I was seriously disappointed. There was nothing "angelic" about it. I found it too masculine, too fougere, and reminiscent of a cheap canned aerosol shaving foam. But something about it grew on me. The smell is addictive. It's kinda euphoric, like a drug. I couldn't get it out of my mind, I needed another hit. And another. Now the name makes perfect sense. Instead of angel dust it should be called "crack". However, the word crack isn't as mass pleasing; and anyone who understands knows that a fragrance's success is highly dependent on strategic marketing. Anyway, I now have both concentrations. Extrait is deeper and sits close to the skin, longer lasting. EDP is more perfumey, aromatic, a bit more juicy, with a bigger throw or silage. It's almost impossible to choose between the two -- depends on if I feel like making a statement (EDP) or not (extrait). Even though the pepper smell is more noticeable in the extrait, the pepper in the EDP makes me sneeze like real pepper. Angel Dust is such an interesting little creation. Some fragrances might dupe this and get close; but I'm afraid absolutely nothing could pull off this exact addictive, euphoria inducing formula.

I can barely smell Fugazzi Angel Dust the OG at all but when sprayed next to the Extrait they are completely different. This is not simply a stronger version of that DNA it has a different vibe altogether so if you love the OG you may not like this at all. I LOVE this fragrance and I wear it most days layered with Xerjoff Casamorati Dama Bianca (sublime) or PDM Valaya Exclusif (IYKYK)or a variety of other things I have in rotation. It’s the cashmere sweater you have worn all the time for years and it always works with everything. I feel myself when I smell it on me throughout the day and it makes me happy. I don’t even think it translates as perfume, it just smells like you. I’m half way through my bottle and I already bought a backup bottle because I can’t live without it it’s so addictive. Btw it’s also gorgeous with Fugazzi NoCologne and Vanilla Haze and Orange Crush. This house is just consistently modern and fun and stylish and I love everything they do.

This might be the best thing I've ever smelled. Smelling it from the bottle, it's cozy and fuzzy, like if soap was a blanket, but with almost a faintly metallic TV static quality to it. The first 20 minutes of wearing this is SO strong, you could smell me from several feet away. It almost gave me a headache. After drying down on my skin, it warms up so beautifully, making it almost sweet. After 6 hours, I noticed it starting to fade and it no longer projected. I could only smell it on my own wrists, but it was still there! I looove this scent and got the extrait in a travel size. However, if I finish the travel size and decide to graduate to a full bottle, I might go for the EDP just to avoid that strong headache inducing initial spray.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. It's heavily peppery, woody, but still wearable with the amber and cashmere. This reminds me of the smell of clean laundry and good cologne. For me, this scent (especially in the foaming body wash formulation) smells exactly like how I remember the smell of my dad's side of the bed as a kid. His cologne would get on our couch and all the laundry, and this is incredibly close to that lingering, nostalgic smell. This scent, to me, reads as a more cologne-like, unisex version of Glossier You. It's also slightly reminiscent of the sandalwood oil from Nemat, if it were spicy... not really sure why lol. Really yummy, cozy, kind of a "your skin but spicy" rather than just a skin scent. I really love this one.

Beautiful fragrance. Absolutely love this one. I sampled both the edp and the extrait and the extraits is miles better than the edp. ADE comes off as a clean woody fragrance, but lingering behind the woods is a fresh sweet fruity note that wants to come out and play- and it dances BEAUTIFULLY with those woods. On my skin, a light musk is brought out as well and together this becomes a perfect fragrance. It's pretty unisex, but I'd say it leans ever so slightly feminine- and I'm a guy but I don't care. I will absolutely rock this any time any day. As for weather- I'm really surprised this has so many winter votes. Like- what? This is a spring/summer/fall fragrance for sure. Anyway. My only gripe is that I bought a 50ml and not a 100ml.

It smells like a man fresh out of the shower after shaving. It has a fragrance like traces of classic Barbasol shaving cream and luxury body wash (LeLabo bergamot 22 / poivre 23), wrapped in a plush, freshly laundered towel. Very cashmeran forward, with much bergamot oil and cracked pepper, that is Angel Dust in a nutshell -- pretty straightforward, it is exactly what the notes describe. An inoffensive fragrance, parallel to the clean aesthetic. Would I buy again? No. Is it anything unique or fascinating? No. When it comes to clean, woodsy, bergamot ambrox/cashmeran bombs, I'm partial to the OG Another 13. It tends sweeter, and definitely more feminine-friendly unisex.

This smells like peppercorn sprinkled butter to me. That doesn’t sound too appealing a description but it’s an addictive smell. I keep going back in for another whiff. There’s a slight hint of citrus but I mainly get a very smooth smelling blend contrasted with that sharp spice and it stays that way for a long time until it dries with a slight ambery sweetness. It’s not very loud projection wise but it lasts on skin an impressive amount of time. I don’t find it to be powdery at all to my nose personally, there’s definitely a muskiness to it though. Overall it’s a 9/10 for me. Not my usual smell by any means but for some reason I just keep wanting to wear it.

I am a lover of Angel Dust EDP, so I decided to buy the Extrait to try it. I saw many reviews that mentioned it is similar and just as beautiful. And honestly, I am obsessed! It has the same DNA as the original, but it is different in a beautiful and unique way. It is more intense, lasts longer, and projects more. On the opening, it does feel quite peppery, but in a good way, and when it dries down, it becomes truly angelic, super angelic. Now I don't know which one I like better, they are both a true masterpiece, but this one definitely lasts much longer. It lasts and projects incredibly, I love them!😍😍😍

This is genius, addictive skin-like scent. Sharp but intricate, gorgeous. And it lasts! This one is staying in my permanent collection, I adore it. That said, please test it on your skin first, scents like this one do not work for everyone! Update: a word of warning, the amber will linger on your clothes even after washing it, and it will turn into a sharp scent! This is the only downside to this perfume. Unfortunately, this is a very common occurence with the amber/ambroxan notes from Fugazzi, so just be aware of this. I still love Angel Dust, it is amazing.

YUM! off-duty model, just out the shower scent. mostly bright-sweet bergamot and cashmere, like a better, muskier version of jo malone's wood sage and sea salt. abstract and intoxicating, angel dust richens as you wear it; it doesn't smell like a good perfume that you put on, it's as though your skin itself smells good. however, despite the citrus-juice sweetness, something about it kind of leans masculine and reminds me of an expensive clothing boutique? hmm.. really good but not sure if this works for me..

This is the most impressive 'Opening to Dry-down' spectacle I've experienced. A work or art. Opening act is rough, animalic, citrusy, sour, spicy and yes - a bit challenging. 4 sprays is more than enough. 'Noble but don't mess with me type of vibe'. As it settles down, it reminds me of an improved version of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. The dry-down act is where it gets 'Angelic', a subtle aura - Different vibe from whiffs vs smelling your wrist. Second skin scents can be boring, but not this one. It’s like I got a dusting of sweet freshly cracked pepper imported from overseas that morning on the sleeve of a Loro Piana cashmere cardigan. It quite literally has a fluffy mohair texture to the scent. Clean and cozy, but indulgent and addictive. It takes a basic concept and elevates it. I haven’t smelled the EDP so I can’t compare but I love this one so much I probably won’t bother.

Oooh, this perfume is along the lines of L'eau Papier and Orpheon by Diptyque. Like if both were blended into a perfume but then tempered with amber in the base to amp the luxe feel of this elegant scent. It doesn't have the sesame-ness of L'eau papier not the powdery facets of Orpheon but something about Angel's Dust reminds me of both of them. They just all belong in the same category.

Oh yes, a beautiful cashmeran daily driver. This one is a really unique one to my nose, and it is in one of the best ways possible. It's a fresh and clean, cozy scent that just settles nicely with a small amber tinge and a cashmere silky smooth plush smell that settles throughout the scent. I really need to wear test this one to have the final decision. Fingers crossed. So far, 9/10.

Oh this is NICE. It’s everything I hoped it would be. Woody, dry, work appropriate and intoxicating. I have a vast collection and this will Probably be a frequently worn fragrance. I used to own Santal 33 but it was missing a touch of sweetness that Angel Dust Extrait has. It may not appeal to others who were hoping for and ethereal (Angel like) fragrance, but I love it.

I have the extrait travel spray and I've been trying to find words to describe it best. I can't find words aside from soft, slightly sweet, and cashmere. it's pleasant and I can see it being something I wear pretty much any time. It's gotten me compliments each time I've worn it, though I don't feel it projects very well. This is a very safe buy.

i love both the perfume and extrait of angel dust, but the extrait specifically works so well for me. still a nice musky scent, but with a lot more pepper and deep amber. much bolder and less citrusy than the edp, which is something that i think improves the scent. i won’t ever be without this one

Angel dust? More like angel CRACK, this stuff is nuclear and makes a statement in one of the better ways a fragrance can ever. Effervescent, clean, unique, and modern! Ill always have a bottle of this in my collection till i perish 11/10

It’s different from the edp, this one smells good too but somehow some people told me that they smell an oud on me. This fragrance has a lot of dry amber so maybe that’s what they are smelling as an oud.

Initially I hated this one. I bought it when I was pregnant and all I could smell was mold. After a year I gave it another shot and I can definitely see why people like it. It smells so addictive

Similar to Angel Dust Edp, but warmer and more peppery, slightly less feminine, but still perfectly unisex. I smell a juicy raspberry in both this and the edp, even if the note is not listed.

If I could only own one bottle of fragrance to wear for the rest of my life, this would be it, folks! It's a spicy, musky, cashmere sweater. It's perfection in a bottle!

My "dumb reach" perfume. When I don't know what to wear, this is what I reach for. Cashmere, peppery goodness. It gets me some compliments. Love it!

To be completely honest, I don’t know exactly what I was expecting from a perfume called Angel Dust, but I was hoping for something more special than a soft spicy, woody, cahmeran, generic scent. I like the way it smells, I won’t hide that, but it’s not worth the price. It’s a very intimate smell that can be worn by both genders I guess, but it’s barely there! And for how much it costs, I would stick to my travel size... But, for those liking overpriced skin scents and fragrances like Diptique’s Fleur de Peau or DS&Durga I Don’t Know What, for that demographic, I can see Angel Dust Parfum being a firm favourite! I, personally, prefer both the scent and the price point of Ode to Dullness for something like this.

I'm not a fan of the projection of this fragrance but it's designed to be intimate. I would say this is truly unisex, when I smell it I could see it on anyone. It's woody, soft, with a peppery bite. I like it, but I'm not in love with it and i wouldn't say its a safe blind buy. I would define this as a skin scent but one of the things I personally need most from a skin scent is for it to truly melt into my skin and to last. I want to be able to catch a whiff of it throughout the day and this perfume (at least on me) doesn't perform the way I would enjoy.

I've tried it several times, on my skin, on my clothes, on my curtains.. And I really don't understand the hype. It opens up nicely, as if you sprinkled some fizzy vanilla dust in the air, but a moment later it turns into a musky, woody and oily scent, which I hope my Angels don't smell of.. God no! It's rather masculine to my nose, and it's blast from the past as I definitely smelled that before at least a decade ago. Try before you buy it because, I'm telling you, it's nothing airy or vanilla-sweet after it settles.

This is my first "second skin" fragrance. I haven't ever smelled any of the other famous ones (Not A Perfume, et al.). I smell mostly the pepper and amber, though to be fair, I am not sure if I can recognize cashmeran. The drydown is nice. It is subtle. Being an extrait I though it would be stronger. I would say that this is safe for anyone to wear. I think that it leans maybe slightly to the masculine. If 1 is completely masculine and 10 is completely feminine. I would say this is like a 4.5.

My initial sniff test (on myself, not a strip) was very pretty. Very juicy/fruity, backed up by a little musk, with maybe a hint of vanilla. Pretty unique. I'm surprised there's only bergamot listed, and no musk - but I could see the musk actually being the cashmere wood and cashmeran, and maybe those two things have a bit of a sweeter smell than I realized 🤷♀️. Either way, a lovely scent, just not exactly what I would've expected with the notes listed.

Another warm and cozy fragrance to the collection. I do enjoy this one. I haven't tried the EDP version so I'm reviewing based on the extrait alone. Musky, woody, slightly sweeten. It could be the pink pepper but there is some fruitiness going on. Perfomance is intimate and longevity is around 6-8 hours. Unisex leaning slightly masculine.

After spraying this on my hand it left a thick oily coating, which i guess is a sign that the quality is good, but its hella obnoxious and never seems to go away no matter how many times i wash my hands. Great quality, not for me, leans quite feminine

absolutely gorgeous skin scent! super soft and warm, a perfect inoffensive everyday scent. however the longevity isn't that great, especially for an alleged extrait lol. but it's pretty enough that i don't mind reapplying! overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷🩷🖤 4/5

its like a 6-month old dust-marinated t shirt pulled from the bottom of the drawers packed down with good-smelling neutral laundry on top, but its sweet in a way, like it absorbed the essence a really nice almost sandlawoody, amber, cool drawer.

It’s really interesting to me how many neutral to negative reviews this fragrance has. I find it to be fairly mild, but also a little complex and entirely pleasant, not at all challenging. Warm and comforting. Really nice fragrance all around.

Nobody found similarity between this and diptyque eau duelle?? It smells the same!!!!! I blind bought the fugazzi angel dust the extrait and Im like...what?? I have 2 perfumes that smells the same.

I own a tester of it. Literally sent me straight to heaven but personally the amber is a little bit too much. Good perfume for chic cool girl anyway.

I love the EDP, so I tested this to see if it was better. Turns out, in my skin, it smells just like mold. The kind of mold that get into and humid kitchen, when the fruit spoils. Dusty and powdery green mold. Someone said it was dirt and potatoes, and I can get the comparison. It is not horrible, just moldy and humid like wet and old wood. After a couple of hours that weird moldy scent fades and becomes a quite nice woody-peppery scent. But I can't get through the opening. I highly recommend test it before buying, because reading the reviews I feel that it may be related to my skin chemistry and not an intended note. Edit: I find out that some molecules in perfumes smells like that on my skin (Cashmeran, in this case. Weirdly it doesn't bother me in other perfumes).

This is incredibly peppery and woody-- there isn't like a creamy, cashmeran musk, but more heavy woods and pepper. It's certainly a skin scent but moreso like someone post-workout than a really cozy, "let's cuddle up" kind of skin scent. Funny enough, I smelled it on someone in the store before I smelled the bottle, and I didn't realize the person was wearing Angel Dust, but I was drawn to and also turned off by the fragrance! There was something about it that just does not work for me personally, but I can see why people enjoy it.

Best way I can describe this is overcooked soft carrots that have lost their flavor with a bit of pepper and dust. It's creamy and peppery but lacking in sweetness. It's an interesting skin scent, but not a safe blind buy or crowd pleaser. More like a unique niche perfume that a fashionable person might wear. It has the same DNA as Glossier's You and Diptyque's Fleur De Peau. I prefer Fleur De Peau EDP though to any of these. It's more buttery, soft and delicate with faint florals. Smell: 6 out of 10 Strength: 8 out of 10 Unisex

I don't know why, but I get heavy cumin, intense bergamot citrus, and it's too peppery and sharp, which is kind of ironic coming from something that is meant to be smooth and soft. the EDP is way better and I like it a lot more, it's way more balanced, smoother, softer and just more wearable overall, this one lasts longer, sure, but it's not worth it for what Angel Dust is known for, the EDP just does it better, do not bother with this one and just go straight to the OG EDP version

Got the extrait purposely hoping for decent longevity/projection. It has none of it. Turns into skin musk without the first hour. Nobody could smell it on me either. I don’t get the hype over this brand. Another soft-spicy “clean” musk with citrusy opening. Initio had already done it. Did we need another clean musk without anything extraordinary and with poor performance ? I don’t think so.

Definitely pleasant, it reminds me of being inside a gothic church, surrounded by the smell of cold, stone walls. It also gives the vibe of a soft fabric that’s a bit dusty, a bit musky. However, it doesn’t feel unique and I find the extrait to be way overpriced. Probably something to do with my skin chemistry, but it disappears within 1 hour and I have to overspray to make it last longer.
