Fugazzi Parfum 1

Blackcurrant syrupy sweet goodness amplified to the max, contrasted by green, aromatic nuances coming from davana, patchouli and mint. On top of the fruity-green combination, there’s pink pepper, olibanum, sandalwood and cedar to ground the herbs, the spices and the fruits! I am not going to lie, I absolutely adore this juice! I have a sample of it, but Parfum 1 is absolutely my favourite from the bunch of perfumes that I am testing currently. I really liked Molecule 01 + Mandarin but Parfum 1 is richer, stronger, more complex and leans more on the gourmand side. It’s an absolute pleasure to my nostrils to catch whiffs of this as I move my arm in the air, the wafts I get are truly delightful. It reminds me of Giorgio Armani Si Intense 2014, in the black lacquered bottle, which is discontinued now and I think it is a good alternative for those who loved Si Intense but can’t purchase it anymore. I will have to spray them side by side, but from memory, as soon as I sprayed Fugazzi, I thought of Armani’s creation. Also, from the perfumes listed in the reminds me of section, I have tested only Pomegrate Noir by Jo Malone at the end of last year and I can see the similarities. On me, Parfum 1 is stronger, bolder, thicker and sweeter, so I prefer it over Pomegranate Noir! I will have to check where I can get a travel size/small bottle of Parfum 1 because it’s 100% my jam! If you love jammy, sweet blackcurrant heavy perfumes, you need to get your on this Fugazzi fragrance ASAP. It’s an outstanding creation of the kind... Update 24.04.25 I have added a 8 ml travel size of Parfum 1 to my collection. Decided to get a mini not a full bottle because I am not sure if it is worth the money performance wise!

I've had this for a while and this has become my signature scent as well as one of my favourites. I'm only now deciding to review it because i've seen a lot of negative reviews on it here on fragrantica. I would describe this fragrance as a sweet somewhat fruity, spicy-aromatic. The black currant gives it a very juicy forefront which i enjoy very much. It's also sweet but imo not in a syrupy rather it has an incense/ spicy like quality to it. This is very unique and i understand that this may not be for everybody, it's also incredibly strong which may put some people off even further. Imo this is really really great. I've never smelt anything like it, it's very attractive and comforting and it offers perfect performance for my needs (lasts around 8-10 hours and projects for 6, then it lingers leaving a scent trail).

Autumn in a bottle. A very delicious slightly gourmand leaning oriental perfume. Warm, sweet, spicy and slightly sweet. There is no apple listed in the notes but it smells to me like a warm cinnamon and apple pastry. I think it’s the blackcurrant note that I’m picking up and it’s done really well here. Great longevity and decent sillage, powerful and sexy enough for evening wear in the cooler months. This was an immediate love at first sniff for me and the great quality smell of the ingredients has sparked my interest in the Fugazzi brand going forward. edit: that blackcurrant note remains pervasive throughout the wear of the fragrance placing this one firmly in the spicy fruity world of Pomegranate Noir by Jo Malone, but this smells less generic.

Oh god, how I love this. A true hidden gem, a beauty! It's original enough to be niche but warm and soft enough to make me want to wear it every day without feeling like its cloying and heavy. I disagree it's similar to Angels Share. This is way more creamy, elegant, and yes, well-blended. No sharpness, no screechy notes. Sorry not sorry. Perfect for colder days, with great longetivity and performance. I kept reaching for it, like for a lovers warm embrace on a cold winter morning. It organically became my winter signature scent, and I haven't gotten tired of it several years down the road, which has been the case with way too many others after a single season.

Smells like an enchanted forest. Very blackcurrant forward: tart and juicy. It takes a while to open up but when it does the warm, grounding woody and spicy notes come through. It’s not a peppery spice, more of a spice garden / forest vibe. I would have like a bit more frankincense personally, but the well blended base notes also make it softer and more universal. Unisex although the fruit notes make it lean more feminine in my view. Decent sillage and longevity.

Sweet, spicy, VERY spicy and enticing. This is warm woody fragrance that is very enjoyable, almost seductive but in a grown-up way, it remains serious and grounded. Not sure what the fruits form the pyramid are, but I feel like it is some sort of citrus, if not bergamot...there is a very pleasant faint freshness despite the overall spice-bomb initial impression. Lovely! I could see this sit well on both women and men, maybe leans a tad more masculine though.

Smells exactly like a high quality sauterne dessert wine. Unctuous,jammy,sweet apple-berry-caramel. Eau de Chateau d'Yquem anyone? Patchouli comes in later and either ruins it or saves it for you, depending on preference. I like the patch in it, but that's just me today. I can see growing tired of it eventually, as it seems to be the only real backbone here, but for now it works very nicely as a counterpoint to the fruit.

Got a 10ml travel spray of this and it definitely reminds me of Pomegranate Noir by Jo Malone although more fruity and less dark. The strong initial blackcurrant blast softens through the day but smells great and has good longevity. I enjoy this and would consider buying a bottle when I run out of the travel spray is done

Smells to me like Sauvage elixir has taken a trip to the forest via a detour through some berry bushes. Fruity/spicy with a hint of pine like smells and an undercurrent of frankincense. Very enjoyable overall and it seems to have the pepper DNA in the background that I’ve smelled in a few from this house recently. 8/10

This is an example of a nuclear fragrance that lasts more than 12 hours. It is amazing. To me it smells like cherry pie. Not sweetened cherry scent as candy, but real cherries and their taste. Green, sweetish, deep and dark. I find it very feminine. Cannot image this on a guy honestly..

i smelled exactly like a german ren faire stall from my childhood for the entire day with three sprays and i loved it. delicious blackcurrant opening, and then straight to incense. definitely wouldn't recommend overspraying though!

In the opening it does remind me of Hermes, Hermessence Amber Nargile but this one is a bit more spicy especially in the dry down. I love it! I personally don’t appriciate this kind of scent on a man so for me it’s more feminine.

I just got a sample, and I thought I got the wrong sample. On my skin cherry comes through very strongly with a hint of spices. Very nice, reminds me of Cherry Punk/Mandorle but better.

Extremely well done fragrance. Very sexy and strong and definitely unisex. Fruity opening with sweet woodsy drydown. Personal favorite from this entire range

Christmas in a perfume. Christmas tree, spiced apple cider, orange pomander. 10/10 as a room spray.

I sample a lot of perfumes, from designer and niche. This is unlike ANYTHING I’ve ever smelt before. So first sprays (2-3) I’m regretting my choice because it’s reminiscent of syrupy children’s medicine with a sweet thick blackcurrant note that dominates. I’m not a huge fan of sweet fragrance so I’m almost ready to wash it off but I decided to see what the dry down would bring and the whole day has been an experience.... Dry down the fruity side starts so go away and it starts to become very aromatic with (I know it’s not on the notes but I swear!) incense even my husband said incense and he’s very not into scents. You are left with a smoky, sensual incense that you can definitely smell. And if you put your nose to fabric at this point you can still smell a bit of the blackcurrant. About 2-3 hours in you are still smelling the incense and woodiness but there’s also a slightly clean, soapy note that starts in and people further away can smell that more than the incense by this point. It’s like 3 perfumes in one, definitely unique and although I can imagine the incense might become a bit much I really found it nice. It’s not like anything else I own and I really enjoyed how it continued to develop. It’s very long lasting and you don’t need to use a lot.

Blind bought this, and at first I totally regretted it. But it started growing on me. My favorite fragrance, goudh, also by fugazzi, also grew on me a lot since I first smelled (even though I loved it at first smell). So I hope this will grow on me too, also to get me out of my woody leather warm fragrances haha. Anyways. It reminds me a lot of Apple cider, or cider in general, I definitely smell something like cloves, which are not listed in it (the spearmint maybe?). These two notes, kind of spicy and alcoholic fruity are the ones that are most prominent, accompanied by a little patchouli or green notes anyways. I don’t particularly smell citruses (there are three from that family listed here!), but it must be because it’s very well blended. It’s a great product overall, obviously not for everyone as always, but it has some mainstream appeal, it’s very very elegant and the more fruity notes give it that sweetness that can be eager to please you know? It doesn’t change at all through the hours, the smell that you get at first is the one that you get, say 6 hours later. Not big silage but lasts long!

Somewhat of a redundant fragrance, something that has been done better before, candied fruity notes over a woody amber, with spice and a surprising amount of a patch in the core. The opening starts off nicely with a bit of the candied fruit of Ambre Narguile, but immediately the clove pierced my nose, much more intense than the Hermes. Shaking that strange encounter off, the remainder of the experience is smoother, the patchouli rings a little too loud and so does the clove further down the line. None of the cinnamon and caramel of the Hermes. Were this in the sub 150$ price range per 100ml I would have enjoyed it much more, but given it is retailing for an unreasonable price, I don't see why you would buy this over the alternative, especially with what is to my nose below average blending, regarding the clove and strange patchouli fuzz that interrupts smoothness of the rest of the formula.

I love the opening of this one, it is unashamedly a spice throughout it's whole scent journey, but the opening has an airy kind of lift to it which stops it being too heavy. It has excellent longevity.. as in 'day to night'.. and the projection is really decent (my other half said it was still lovely when I returned home from a long work day). I do find the middle a little flatter.. more a slightly more linear, gentle warm spice bubble.. but it is still very nice. To me, the only thing that stops it being a full love is a slightly gritty patchouli edge right at the end, but that is very likely skin chemistry on my part. If you like a cold weather spice, this one is definitely worth a sample!

This opens up with a REALLY strong blackcurrant smell. I could definitely pick up the peppermint and citrus alongside it, but the blackcurrant was front and center. As it dries down, it does get almost a cinnamony, incensey quality, as others have said. I think the mint and citrus help to keep it brighter and not SO overpowering in the smoky dry down. Overall, it's not something I usually go for, butthat's not to say it's bad. This almost reminds me of the smell of a Christmas tree shop - that spicy, warm, inviting smell, but kept fresh and exciting with fruit and citrus.

For me it initially triggered that expression of “apple cider” or “Christmasy” sort of vibes and here I am a FB spender and I used it everyday which was quite addictive. In overall, this grows much better on my skin in cool temperature and smelled like an apple cider, to my nose too! A nice booziness with a little spice I could detect it. Also a slight bitterness which is not too bad. (initially the middle note I slightly dislike it was crushed on my skin I thought but it’s unnoticeable after I wore more.)

However notes are completely different there is something very Burberry London in it. Beside that black currant and pink pepper are very dominant but they are like wrap. First spray and You feel it around You long time. Evolution is very interesting. To get to the base takes a while and top notes are still hiding the depth. Like each time You must go through the surface to get what’s inside. Easy likeable and not challenging. I would say a blind buy as for the niche.

Reminiscent of Angel’s Share, big spicy cinnamon opening with a smack of bubble mint gum. Drys down on me pretty evenly with musk and patchouli. Comfy sweater smell. I think it layers nicely with something sweeter (I tried CDN Untold and it was BIG but warm and comfy). The best part is the end of the dry down - it smells like the Coty airspun powder my mom used to wear. Overall leans really Christmas-y but overall I like it!

Mintier, patchoulier, spicier Angel’s Share. Top notes (fresh citrus, spearmint, mandarin) are adding air, diluting and elevating the heavy, monolithic heart and base. Festive, uplifting, sweet, warm, cozy yet mature and dignified fragrance. The most sophisticated cherry pie in the room 🥧🍒

Well. Boosted John Varvatos Vintage. More spicy cinnamon apple on the top. Worth to pay 4 times more? Silliage much better but beside that no so sure. Easy one for winter time. Very Xmas like vibe. I will use what I have but I will not buy more

To me it smells like a nostalgic banana milkshake? So different from the notes on here.. ill have to give it a good weartest. And then ill get back to this.

Very strong, liqoeur like, although it is not in the notes, reminds me of cherry. Niche direction, interesting. Cooked fruit. Good in the winter.

i definitely agree, it’s christmas in a bottle. it smells like a simmer pot/apple cider was poured into a bottle, so comforting and dreamy.

I’ve tried such experiences before Fragrances that are supposedly niche that takes inspiration from the designer realm I don’t mean copying fragrances no I meant creating something acceptable but a little different It’s definitely powerful enough to enjoy But it’s somewhat fruity a little aromatic not sure if I smelled something identical but I definitely smelled something similar A good fragrance but not something I liked

This smells great, loved it on paper, as it was a bright, joyful, well blended ended scent, but upon testing on my wrist I came to realization that it is slightly too masculine for my liking. So much rather preferred it on a man. Good performance!

I wanted to like it, but I didn't quite get it, it's not unpleasant, but it kind of smells like a minty mess. Smells unfinished in a way, like the perfumer hasn't made up their mind yet...

The currant in this is quite sour on my skin, and I don't really enjoy it... More frankincense and less citrus would have been better...

This was nice, smells like perfume, this is all there si to say about it really. Cannot comment on wear.

I got this in a Fugazzi Discovery Kit, and wanted to wear test all of them. It smelled GREAT on paper, but on my skin I smelled like a straight up Christmas candle. Black current, apple cider, and spice. I would love a room to smell like this, but as a personal fragrance, it gave me a headache. Now it is also August in Texas and it's very hot out. I can imagine it will work better in colder weather. So I'm going to hold on to the sample and pull it out this winter and try it at night. Until then, it's a no for me. Kudos to those who can pull it off.

This is the most unique fragrance I think most people would smell if you're not into niche. I give props for creativity and boldness. I admire anyone who can pull this off. I get an earthy mixed with blackcurrant scent, almost a raisin feel to it. Please check the bottle as most of the notes aren't listed here.

This smells like Mancera's Tonka Cola to me but heavier and more masculine imo. Not something I'd want a full bottle of, but I also don't think it's offensive. I wouldn't recommend overspraying with this one because of how strong it is.

at first it's gin and tonic, then it starts turning into something much sweeter only to become Christmas scented air freshener.

Buy a sample before a bottle, its really a bad scent with animalic notes 😕

On spray it smelled like zesty ginger, then turned into a cloying ginger + car smell, then dried into a generic old man spicy oud, + ginger. The ginger must be a manifestation of the “citrus” and “pink pepper”. No other smells detected. I’m aware the verdict needs to suit both average people AND nose misadventurers. This is a ‘niche’ fragrance designer from what I’m reading, and so the perfume game is getting more complicated for the average Joe than he’s used to these days. Giving this my regular proletariat read treatment seems a bit... unfair? :) But what’s more unfair is news articles, insecurity influencers and AI bot reviews - all natural predators of the wallet - shilling very expensive perfumes to average people that are told this is the next best thing for them since being alive. Depending on whether you’re 1. a schizo fraghead (wear it proudly) or 2. an average person, this is EITHER: a powerful, long-lasting and clearly very loot box-style masculine scent where a little goes a long way, and a skin test + waiting is a must so you may uncover your skin chemistry’s notes for yourself, but rest assured if you smell the citrus and pink pepper, it definitely comes in a pair; or, yet another challenging and persistent spicy oud Old Spice clone to bully people around you with, ‘ginger’ flavour this time!!!!1 I’m going insane, all “complex” perfumes smell the same.

It starts with a very ripe, juicy black currant. But after 5 minutes it’s like a shouting match between pepper, spices and something I haven’t identified yet. Everyone is fighting for your attention while a small orange is waving at you in the background. And this goes one for a couple of hours while you’re trying to keep the house down so the neighbours don’t hear you. In other words, the snell is harsh and loud and the sillage is enormous.

Based on the notes I hadn't actually anticipated liking this very much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It opens quite sweet but I think that in warmer weather it actually seems to have just the right amount of citrussy freshness. I really disagree that it's christmas in a bottle. I think it could be very versatile. Somehow the performance on me is not great, although maybe it's just a scent I go noseblind to quickly. I don't smell it on myself at all after 3hrs.

First Fugazzi fragrance I’ve sampled and I gotta admit I’m impressed, this smells incredible off the test strip but will need to give it some wear. Regardless of the down votes on the Azzaro Wanted by Night comparison I 100% get some similarities and it’s a profile I personally really like.

In the opening i get cough syrup. Later it reminds me of potion by dsquared. Most of the times i think this is too much and i end up scrubbing it off.

Candied, spicy apples. Not really my kind of scent, but would be a great option for anyone that enjoys this genre and wants something niche/indie.

This smells like a less rich version of sugardaddy, still from fugazzi. I'd definitely go for sugardaddy if I had to pick one

First sniff was very pleasant, but during the day I felt like a spiceball and it got more and more nauseating. Not for me.

To me this smells like Maison Christian Dior Ambre Nuit but sweeter, maybe also better.

This is only fragrance actually screams "i am niche!" Smells worth the money.
