In Love With The Cocos

Yesterday was my birthday. I'd planned to open a bottle of fine wine with my husband after work, but on the way home I received a message from him: a photo of the thermometer showing that it is time for another episode of children's viruses. And that's life. Even though I'm working from home today because I'm taking care of my daughter, I chose to dress nice and wear perfume. From a box full of samples, I chose Fugazzi, In love with the cocos and was once again reminded of the true power of fragrance... Every time I bring my wrist to my face and smell it, I am overwhelmed by a feeling of happiness, relief and I start dreaming of summer months that seem so far away, that long chain of rainy days. In love with the cocos almost hides a pitfall in its name: if you think you will smell like confectioner's coconut or ferrero balls, if you don't like coconut and decide to skip it based on that... It will show that you are not curious enough and therefore worthy wonderful fragrance that is hidden in the bottle. From the first minutes I smell the creaminess, not true, a bit salty coconut (water) but of sunscreen (not in a bad way). The floral notes break through very quickly, I personally feel geranium the most, maybe delicate orange flower in the opening. A pleasant note of amber and musk mix reveals itself quickly too. This perfume smells like promise of summer and will lift your spirits when you need it. Its character will suit sunny days better, but it's also a great choice when you need a mood lifter. Very harmonious, unproblematic and unoffensive with enough perfumery magic to testify of its quality. Give it a try, even if you're not into coconut.

Coconut fragrance that has an interesting, sparkling opening. The coconut together with the ylang ylang that gives it the necessary summer creaminess are the two main notes that are the protagonist in this perfume. The sparklingness in the opening is almost immediately dampened by the creamy, flowery and fruity notes that we have at the heart of this fragrance. The scent on my skin is very summery, sweet, and slightly flowery, with a prevalence of this ylang ylang that I don't mind at all. At the end we find the basic amber and musky notes that give strength and sweetness to this fragrance, which I find an excellent unisex fragrance to wear for the summer to immediately catapult us on vacation

Got this for my june wedding last year.I fell in love the first time smelling it. First I get the coconut, flowers and musk and when it dries down i get the citrus notes in a more sweet way. It is a beautiful, happy, summer fragrance.

I quite like this! I get coconut, white florals and powder. There’s a very light bitter lemon on the dry down. Quite sweet and fun!

🥥✨ In Love With Cocos, Fugazzi. This is not a rich coconut cream dessert fragrance. Cocos completely stole the show for me. Creamy, dreamy, soft, musky, and impossible to stop sniffing. From the very first minutes, I get a slightly salty coconut water accord mixed with sunscreen vibes. Have you ever sipped fresh coconut water straight from the coconut on a tropical beach? That's the feeling this fragrance captures. The coconut is present, but it feels airy, transparent, and beautifully blended into the composition rather than taking center stage. On my skin, the florals are actually much more prominent. I pick up a delicate orange blossom, while ambrette, amber, and musk create the effect of warm, sun-kissed skin. To me, it's more about the feeling of a perfect beach day than the coconut itself. Think of a softer, more relaxed Soleil Blanc: more effortless daytime sunshine. This perfume smells like the promise of summer. Bright, uplifting, and carefree, it's the kind of fragrance that instantly puts me in a good mood. ☀️🌊🤍

watery nectary, glacial sweetness under white floral haze

wow on dry down all i'm getting is Neutrogena make-up wipes through and through. or a Walgreens, beauty outlet, swimming pool with chlorine, banana boat sunscreen spray as a dusty white floral. it comes off very screechy white floral and synthetic like a dollar store... as i let it sit i can see what the direction for this was, but barely, and then there is no coconut to be found. it settles down into a sort of musky dry white floral like it wants to be a mimosa/skin scent, which i can get behind, but there are many other fragrances for that i would choose over this. it just misses the mark for me :/ okay, so about 2 hours in, its a quiet, musky, dry but somehow creamy, powdery, sweet white floral, and ever so slightly ambery that grows more and more, which i do actually enjoy. creamy, sweet, and powdery almost skin scent. it wears very very close to the skin, and there is no citrus or any coconut at all. just the vibe that the coconut is missing. not as bad as i thought it would be! the baby wipe vibe is there as an afterthought that fades away hours in. bit of a convoluted journey to something relatively simple. will think about this...

I'm not an expert on all the notes listed but even though the smell is mostly nice, it's disappointing to know even though it said "cocos" that there is no cocoa smell and on top of that, it smells more like air freshener than a perfume. Has good siliage though

Not something I imagined. I do not sense any coconut but I do pick up aldehydes. It reminds me of Climat. It's interesting how polarizing the reviews are. I get absolutely no creaminess or sweetness. Just very dry grown up citrus and white flowers.

Slightly coconut scented suncream, quite clean and creamy smelling, lasted about 4-5 hours with relatively soft projection (it suits this fragrance tbh) and neither I or anyone else could smell it anymore

It smells different from what I imagined. I can smell yellow and white flowers, super sweet, covered in tanning oil. I can't really smell fresh citruses, they are more like sugary citruses.

Like other mentioned, kind of sunscreen smell. Would wear it on a pool day...I wasn't blown away

Found this really disappointing, I can't pick up the coconut at all, which makes the name so confusing - it's a white/yellow flower bomb, sickeningly sweet and not much else. It comes off super generic and...cheap? It's straight up basic drugstore cheapie vibes. It's also decidedly feminine-leaning, so if you're looking for unisex coconut vibes, this ain't it. Glad I tried this as part of my Parfumado subscription and didn't splash on a full bottle, it's wildly overpriced for what it is.

Why oh why is it called in love with the cocos? I can't smell any coconut. It's a pungent masculine smell, nothing to do with a tropical island as the name might hint. I gave it to my boyfriend and it smells better on him, just like a random perfume targeted for guys. Such a disappointment.

If you’re looking for a sunscreen scent this is it. White flower heavy.. it’s super strong and you only need a little bit. 1 spray and I could smell for a longggg time. It’s a beachy very sweet ( think tooth ache) coconut scent. It did give me a tiny headache with only spray on my wrist.

The very opening was good. I didn’t understand why i had disliked it. That citrus drys down fast Whats left is powdery musky coconut and tuberose like florals.. its the usual feminine white florals, idk who would like this besides older ladies

Yeah, I tried to let this dry down, but I'm not going to get there - it's a scrub. On me a thick, heady, heavyweight scent that is cloying and nauseating - definitely sample first!

Reviewer below (RDUK) is equating cocos to cocoa. Fugazzi is a Dutch fragrance house, and cocos alludes to the Dutch word Kokos, which is the same as the English word for: coconut. Hence the confusion. Just thought I’s clarify. I’m wearing it now, and it reminds me a little of coco extreme by comptoir sud pacifique, which I already own, so I’m glad I tried this as a sample first. It’s a very powdery white floral coconut and it leans a bit too feminine for my liking. Maybe the drydown will be a bit more unisex (?)

I got a sample kit of all their fragrances released to date and this one is my favourite. Lemon zest, orange blossom and musk dominate to my nose. I’ve also noticed all of the Fugazzi fragrances so far have this common scent in their ‘DNA’ that I can’t really describe or identify, but it’s there. It’s almost syrupy, I think? Not unpleasant but definitely influences the scent quite a bit.

Um, where is the coconut? Smells something artificial but cannot define exactly what. Its pretty strong. This is the only Fugazzi so far that I cannot get on board with. Im in search of a good coconut scent, but this is not it. Its not sweet and milky, not sugary. Its more like a musk but would not know that they meant it to be coconut if I did not look at the composition.

I get nothing zesty or fresh form this fragrance. The coconut is very musky, creamy, almost stale, a little dry. I feel like it remids me Adults by Kilian a lot. And Adults is more fresh, so... proceed with caution if you expect bright summery coconut, it is not here. Yes, this is like Adults Kilian, mixed with Bronze Goddess Estee Lauder, this kinda vibe.

I haven't tried this on my skin yet; I'm nervous. On my test strip it smells like a hair salon when multiple people are getting their hair dyed. Like, there's a chemical smell mixed with shampoo, conditioner and hairspray. I don't really have a deeper explanation than that.

I really enjoy this fragrance but would probably like this more on women then on me. Kind of a creamy coconut with white florals. I picture a blond woman with a white beach dress on a hot spring day.

This is a really fleshy coconut scent like Body Shop’s Coconut EDT I don’t really care for. I prefer coconut milk or a drier coconut than this

those fat fruit scented markers i would use as a kid, would not want to smell like this but it is fascinating

The opening is very “sunscreen”. When it settles it reminds me of Eden from Cacharel.

With a name like that thought they would make it smell more like yayo. Oh well.

Baby ass wipes with a whiff of coconut. A powdery mess. Had to scrub it off.
