This smells like oud maracuja without the passion fruit....I'm not sure if that makes it better or what because I hate both fragrances. The first 5 minutes it is straight up freshly crushed cardamom and spicy. The oud in this one is less animalic and still detectable in the dry down 12 hours later. On second thought, as I keep sniffing this, I do think it's sweeter than Oud Maracuja and more wearable. it also reminds me of Haltane in its sweetness. Imagine if Oud Maracuja had a baby with Haltane and the passion fruit gene was recessive. Final thought: it's growing on me, but I'd need to be in a mood to wear this, not a safe blind buy.

This is a beautiful, smoky, chocolatey oud. It’s a velvety cocoa/chocolate opening that melts into the cedarwood and spicy and warm cardamom. The oud here isn’t a loud, screechy oud that we’ve had to become accustomed to. It’s smooth and quietly powerful. Bold and sensual. Very sexy.
