Purple

Beautiful, but definitely don't buy blind. I love it, but on other family members it is very divisive, and hugely variable over which note dominates and the longevity. This reminds me of Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose but without the Rose. Its a skin scent, very gentle, and on me it starts with a pretty violet and becomes powdery and clean/fresh, but not in a soapy or baby powder way. There's a very vague musk coming through, but nothing intrusive. It lasted about 5 hours on me, and was a skin scent most of the time.

From the first spritz, Purple strikes a mesmerizing balance between nostalgia and innovation. It shares Celeste’s candied charm but tempers its sweetness with a sleek, almost metallic freshness—courtesy of its bold Ambertonic heart. The opening is a luminous burst of clean, powdery violet. The Ambertonic accord is unapologetically potent—so much so that my initial wear left me recoiling from its sharpness. Yet, after letting the fragrance rest, it softened into something far more wearable: the violet became rounder, the amber warmer, and the candy-like facets (reminiscent of crushed Smarties or fizzy Pixie Sticks) took on a sophisticated, almost mineralic glow. True to its name, Purple embodies a synesthetic experience: it’s exactly how I imagine the color purple would smell.

Even though this does not have lilacs in it, the opening smells similar to Nosferatu by Heretic Parfum (which is my absolute favorite). I am pleasantly surprised because normally violets do not work on my skin. Update: A word of warning, the dry down is very sharp ambroxan that will linger on your clothes for a VERY long time. I got a bit tired of ambroxan permeating everything, so I no longer "love" this scent, I switched to "like".

This smells exactly like Parma Violet sweets.

An Ode to Mud So disappointed. The delicate, sweet, powdery violet rises like a whisper... and then vanishes, leaving behind the unmistakable scent of mud. Clean mud. Fresh mud. Respectable mud that probably pays its taxes. It’s not unpleasant — it’s polite, almost serene — but still, it’s mud. If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could smell like the forest floor right after yoga,” this is your calling. For me, it’s just an earthy reminder that sometimes beauty really does fade... into mud.

Masculine Amber BOMB. I guess I have to let it "sit" for a decade before I can smell even a lick of violet. Have no idea what anyone else is talking about below. I bought it from the Fugazzi store - tested it with every human I know and they all say the same thing it's an amber chemical mess with no discernable violet powder. Don't get me wrong there are several Fugazzi's that I love and I don't need a perfume to smell natural - but this one could have really used a more delicate hand.

This opens really green and dry and that greenness stays throughout. There is some similarity to Celeste trying to peak through but it’s over taken by that greenness and dryness that almost reminds me of Vodka. It’s not the powdery iris I love, for me this felt more masculine. I gifted it to my husband who enjoys it and I love how it smells on him. To be fair I love soapy, fruity floral, & powdery gourmand scents, this is none of those.

Someone said this smells green? Like, no way, you're totally off, this has no green notes. It straight up smells like fresh violet. This is something different but really catchy to my nose, I don't have anything like this in my collection of 30 fragrances. I got a sample and now bought the 100 ml. Not blind buy safe, by the way, so don't take my word for it. I can see this on someone who likes to dress in black tones/goth.

Quite a bizarre but inoffensive fragrance. it starts, predictably, with violet. After about 10 short minutes the violet began to fade into the musky molecule notes, which gave the fragrance a slightly plasticky quality. Then, the violet came back? It comes and goes, basically but it remains faint. Yeah, not a bad fragrance really but definitely quite unusual and feels very molecule heavy
