Santa Monica

This perfume is a dream. I went into Fugazzi Amsterdam to buy Cloudh Nine but walked out with this. It opens a bit soapy from the neroli but develops into a creamy white tea & citrus and then finally with a sweet vanilla musk. This is officially my summer scent. I adore it. Longevity and sillage are gentle compared to other Fugazzi fragrances. Office friendly. The sales associate told me that they are not producing any more bottles so when this is sold out it’s gone!

This is advertised as a sultry summer evening fragrance, but Santa Monica is actually fresh, sophisticated, and crisp. There’s a sharp note in it that reminds me of Elie Saab Le Parfum, but fresher and more youthful. The dry down is less fresh and crisp, but it’s not sultry either. It reminds me of the feeling of a bright spring morning when everything is in bloom and the sun starts to shine. I’d say its safe for office wear or everyday use. To me it def feels more ‘mature’ and maybe a bit generic.

I received a decant yesterday. So I'm still in the testing phase. It's 5°C outside, and it works so well on my skin outdoors. The review will come later, but for now, I think it's a wonderful perfume. It's strange that it's so rarely talked about.

F Aerts, please tell me where you got a decant from. I feel like this fragrance never really existed because I can’t even find real photos of it. I would love to sample this.
