Palmetto

Overpriced for what you get. I'm not the best at describing scents, but it's fresh. I enjoy it. It has a nice woody dry down.

Sampling Fulton & Roark Palmetto, one of the extrait collection of fragrances previously released in solid perfume form, a blend with pink pepper and grapefruit in the opening, giving way to a dry down of magnolia, neroli, cedar, and incense per the official note listing, and these ring true with my experience of it. There’s definitely some brightness and freshness throughout. A fairly strident pepper note mixes against a mostly woody background, accented by neroli and resins and (I suppose) the slightest faint of magnolia, though there is a vaguely floral quality to the mix as well. It’s fairly similar to Narada, categorically, and though Narada’s peppery focus works a bit better for me, overall, Palmetto is also nice. I’m frankly delighted to see a couple of fairly peppery options from one house, as I enjoy pepper as a fragrant note when used elegantly, as is the case with both fragrances. Like the rest of the extrait collection, Palmetto is priced at $250 for 50ml, sold through the house website, and it performs fairly well. 7 out of 10

Delightful pink pepper and grapefruit opening! I agree that overall this scent leans masculine, but I find it wearable as a woman. After the opening, I don’t really get a lot of the woods smells that others describe. Maybe faintly. The superstar is that fresh and verrry peppery citrus opening!

The grapefruit in the opening is a real treat. With equal parts juice and zest, maybe a tad more on the zesty side. It's too bad it fades so quickly on my skin. That's what makes it a like and not a love for me.

Pink-peppery, citrusy, with warm, oily florals and a hint of cedar that is not to the degree it reminds you of pencils or lumber. Clean-smelling and would mesh well with many different gender presentations!
