1st of all, it is such a wonderful achievement by a Pakistani house to enter the niche fragrance arena and immediately excel in it.. As the name suggests, a very sandy, dusty and almost leathery opening loaded with patchouli and tobacco... Then it gradually moves on to gorgeous sweet Saffron and musk notes with excellent performance Beautiful and definitely unique .. Its natural ingredients are very apparent and the amount of work put into it is obvious ... Great work.... ❤️❤️

Songs of Thar by Raza Perfumes The barren and rugged grandeur of a desert can only be fully appreciated if you get a chance to become part of it. The naked harshness hides tremendous amount of colour and beauty and harbours life in the most savage circumstances. Songs of Thar is one such unique charmer, a collaborative effort between perfumer Anas Sabrani and Ovais Saleem of Raza Perfumes. It's literally DESERT IN A BOTTLE. I smelled it and fell in love with it instantly. Highly impressed with the originality and creativity of these guys. What a brilliant artsy creation! When I put my nose on it for the first time, it reminded me of the song Desert Rose by Sting and the numerous spectacular sunsets and sunrises I've had a chance to witness in the desolated deserts across the globe. This opens with a gorgeous, authentic and rich saffron laden rose. Trailing behind is patchouli, earthy, dark and mysterious, along with tobacco absolute that tangos with the myrrh adding the ash-smokey dry, woody and spicy background. This entire orchestra of notes leave you spellbound with the presence of oakmoss and musky rose in the drydown. Strong projecting and long lasting, it does not get any more niche than this. Leaves a scent trail to die for. This perfectly depicts the ambiances of the Thar Desert. Dry, dusty, barren yet full of life. Like a rose in the desert. This is so original and unique and there's nothing like this in the market both locally or internationally, that's the best part. And the worst part is that it is so exclusive and so limited that once I'm done with my 30mls, I will never be able to smell it again. These poetic words below from Raza Perfumes sum it all up. Songs of Thar, an aptly named fragrances, is a melody of desert air. It is a scent of a Bedouin, looking for solace. It is niche without being unwearable as it resides on a fine line between a crowd-pleaser and work of art. The opening blast of this dark colored juice comprising of Saffron and Rose, is so strong that might make noses wrinkle. This might lead you to make a conclusion that it is a typical middle eastern fragrance but it is the heart of the fragrance which acts as a savior as patchouli in combination with a Tobacco note creates a very dry and dusty nuance reminiscent of a desert. Dry down is where most people will get compliments, as it ends on note of musky tone with some rose on background. Longevity on this one is excellent, lasting on skin for about 7-8 hours easily where i could detect it on my clothes even after 12 hours of initial spray but I'm taken aback by the monsterous projection on this one. On the versatility front, this would fail for many people as pulling such a fragrance specially in work place is very difficult task so this can be a perfect formal or a religious gathering scent. Season wise, due to its profile, winters or perhaps cooler summer nights seem more appropriate.
