Aigues Vives

C'est une grande découverte pour moi,J'ai l'eau de parfum et elle est meilleure que L'Eau Sauvage actuelle et ressemble vraiment à l'Eau Sauvage des années 70/80. Un Must.

Though it starts as a generic Blue de Chanel vibe, the drydown is to die for! Much recomended!

I got a sample of the intense version and after the first wearing, I instantly wanted a bottle complex yet familiar woods with citrus on opening but its the dry down where it really shines has an addictive note on dry down in the Sillage that just has me whiffing the air and wanting more a lovely fragrance and not bad value for money either especially as you can tell they use high quality ingredients that are well blended and can't pick up any synthetics on my nose. And around £50 for 100ml of EDP it's good value issue is shipping to downunder is worth more than the twice the bottle unfortunately but even with the added cost of shipping I think it would still be worth the money. If anyone know of an Australian distributor please let me know.

I received a sample of the 'Intense' formula with my purchase, even though I am (clearly) a female customer (I was buying skin care and feminine scents). Nevertheless, here is my review: i really like this. It has a freshness and 'openness' to it that draws me in. If I caught wind of this on a man, my first impression of that man would be "Well educated, well traveled, good natured and kind". I would also add.... successful, as this scent has a 'higher end' vibe to it. Very much a man's scent, I don't think I'll be stepping out while wearing my sample. But yes, this is very well done and I give a thumbs up to any man who has this in his collection.

Yes, the similarities with Eau Sauvage are striking, but we're talking about the Eau Sauvage of 30 or so years ago, and given its eau de parfum strength, much longer lasting. There's a lovely, classical, and I hesitate somewhat to say "rustic" accord of lemon, moss, chamois, and white florals here that seems to have been erased out of modern Eau Sauvage's formulation. More's the pity for the Dior, but it's a real triumph for Galimard's nose/noses. Really good stuff, great value for money, too.

"Aigues Vives", is a lighter (and a less "urban" if I may say so) version of "Eau Sauvage". I do prefer the Dior equivalent.

Galimard has discontinued this and watered down Flibustier. So sad!
