Bel Canto

First time I had it in 2013 It was one of the best to wear, it is excellent to wear in occasions. I still buy it and enjoy the mysterious notes in it👍🏻

A unisex fragrance which really works both ways. I love it on me and would equally like it on a man. The top citrus notes are swift but sharp but mouthwatering. There must be a little pepper in here somewhere in the bridge. I would venture pink pepper? Although I feel the top notes would blend better with a male natural scent to begin with it's not harsh although lacking the touch of orange /neroli which would add a little sweetness to grace a female aimed fragrance. However the next stage comes in within 5-10 minutes and is a sublime deep woods blend which is sexy and enchanting. At this stage I don't care who's wearing it I'd cozy up to a stranger on a train who smelled like this. The citrus remains but now underlying, faintly weaving in and out but the perfect execution of the wood notes in this stay true and hold centre stage. The sandalwood makes a gentle entrance and simply entwines perfectly. The vanilla must be very light probably just supports the sandalwood without intruding as it should but never takes over at any point. Interesting the elusive dance of the wood notes and then the citrus emerges again! Ladies who seek something different to avoid smelling like white flowers, sandalwood, musk, fruit and all the usual should give this a try. Stand out in a crowd. Years ago before Calandre I wore the Paco Rabanne male fragrance which got a lot of positive attention. This is in the same mode.

Bel Canto is not your everyday woody fragrance. There are some mysterious notes in it, that make me want to keep sniffing it. I'd have sworn there is oudh as one of the notes, but no. So the mysterious smell must have been one of the rarer woodsy notes. Not a scent I'd really recommend to any woman, but a perfectly respectable masculin scent.

Very high quality juice... so woody wth the right amount of citrus, florals and a hint of vanilla... A definite staple in my collection. So elegant with the perfect amount of EVERYTHING!! A MUST HAVE!!

Very beauty, classical and elegant fragance.

Why is these so much love for this ? I get vetiver and a small hint of dry vanilla. It quickly becomes a skin scent in less than 30 minutes and overall just smell ok. It is as if this is made another bottle with the 5 percent terre de hermes without the orange note , one drop of dry vanilla and a couple squirts of ISO-E Super. This is not worth the money and is nothing special in my opinion. Sample please, do not blind buy.
