Citoyen

Eski tarzda bir erkek parfumu. Berber kolonyasi ile kaliteli bir limon kolonyasi arasında bir yerde duruyor. Yarım saat sonra kolonya havasından kurtuluyor. Vetiver yumuşak bir şekilde devam ediyor. Kalıcılığı çok kuvvetli değil. Yaz ve bahar akşamları için uygun. Koku bana sürekli 70 li yılların mafya filmlerini hatırlattı. .:-)

Citoyen is a classic fougere, a blast of lemon/bergamot and then a gradual evolution down to the base notes. Unfortunately for me, it disappears on my skin in about 30 minutes. Love the opening, though.

Love this stuff, a natural/smoother version of so many classic "barbershop" frags such as Duc de Vervins. Galimard sells their fragrances in 3 strengths, EDT, EDP & Parfum. I have the EDP strength myself. Notes listed on Galimard site, Top- Lemon & Bergamot Heart- Juniper Berry, Lavandin, Patchouli Base- Oakmoss, Vetiver Obviously if you're a fan of this style I'd recommend ordering it. I get it strait from them in France. They are based in Grasse i.e. "the perfume capitol of the world". They've been around since 1747 so they're doing something right. I'd very much encourage you to get the EDP or Parfum as the EDT seems a bit weak in comparison. Update 4/9/22, I ordered the "parfum" version from Galimard. After using the EDP & liking that for a few years I can say the parfum is the way to go. It does cost more as the fragrance oil % is considerably higher but the performance is very much improved. Hours after I thought this had worn off I'm getting compliments, HOURS!

I bought this perfume by ordering it through the gallimard website since I don't live in France. I ordered it because my brother once brought it back from Grasse while he was on a trip, I think it was in 2006, and I still remember what a great perfume it was. Now I can say only one thing - it's not the same perfume anymore! I guess because of the EU ban on oakmoss in fragrances. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great fragrance, but it's really a shame how crippled the perfume is compared to that 2006 version.

It is a very classic masculine scent. Business suit, tie, oxford shoes and a patronizing attitude - that's what it is. The scent opens fresh and mouthwatering in-your-face bitter citrus, followed by somewhat sharp juniper, the dry-down is classy vetiver. Gentleman's cologne. Old school.
