Victorian Tobacco

I mentioned how I love his lineup in dream woods bottle. The presentation, etc. We’ll skip over that... Victorian Tobacco was the second bottle I opened. Sprayed my hand and... this may be my favorite one in his lineup. It’s the most memorable one for me. I haven’t sprayed this in a couple of weeks but I can remember EXACTLY what this smells like in my head. Very distinct. Smells just like tobacco and liquor to me. Although I don’t go to cigar bars. This would be the perfect fragrance to wear. I genuinely love this fragrance. I just don’t know where else I would wear this. I can see not many people loving this fragrance. It smells great, but not a huge people pleaser. But this is something a f*cking man wears. You need confidence. Not a teenager or someone in their early 20s. This adds plus +10 to you manly hood. This is how you max out your man stat. This is the tell your wife “No, you go to the store and pick up your own damn tampons and do the dishes” fragrance. This fragrance adds 25 lbs to your bench. If you’re a girl transitioning into a man (since it’s the popular thing to do nowadays), this is what you need to finish the transition. Spray it on your neck and grow an Adam’s apple. Spray it on your chest... BOOM! Chest hair. Is it a safe blind buy? Probably not... but I genuinely love it. If you’re into tobacco fragrances and have the confidence to pull it off. ABSOLUTELY!

This is a man's man scent. I love it. It's a 9 out of 10. This fragrance makes no excuses for what it is. Smelling the cap my first thought was, 'This is the good stuff.' I couldn't wait to spray it on my skin. Tobacco is the star here but there is much more to enjoy. The gin and juniper berries in the opening gives it a dry effervescence. The apple note makes for a mellow sweetness. The soft woods give the scent a laid back strength. I really like the use of oak. Accords shift through out in a pleasant way. When the chocolate cake like patchouli rises to the heart of the scent the blend with the haitian vetiver brings a decadent sophistication. This is addictive. I wanted to keep respraying to start the scent journey all over from the beginning. I got three hours of strong sillage. A female friend liked it very much and gave it an 8 out of 10. I could see this as a signature scent for a bold personality. This is a scent for a confident, intelligent male with sophistication though it may work for a confident female too. The name is suitable. It's something one imagines smelling sitting down to a meeting with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Moriarty. If you enjoy tobacco fragrances here's one you shouldn't miss. This is steampunk fantasy meets black leather and hard woods.

My second try of Galleria Parfums (curated by Ashton of Gents Scents) is Victorian Tobacco, a fresh, herbaceous, semi-spicy tobacco scent that boasts of sophistication with a very pleasant, semi-masculine blend that features notes of gin and tonic, juniper, geranium, clary sage, tonka, guaiac, vanilla, and of course, tobacco itself. I do not consider it to be a “sweet tobacco” fragrance as it’s only semi-sweet, nor is it overly heady or sharp; it feels very well-rounded and carefully thought out, perhaps not an easy winner for everyone but certainly a nod to those that enjoy tobacco-centric fragrances. I think this is a great offering, easily a men’s signature scent that can be worn throughout most of the year (perhaps not on a very hot day) and through a variety of situations. It dresses up very well while still being comforting and reasonably easy to wear. I believe it’s only for sale via the company website, at $205 for 100ml, just over $2/ml, a fair price for what smells like a high-quality scent that balances wearability, sophistication, performance, and inventiveness. 8 out of 10

If you took out the florals from Tom Ford Black Orchid and added dry tobacco (leaf) note. You could come up with something close to Victorian Tobacco. Having said that, this fragrance is what I always wanted Black Orchid to be. I think Black Orchid is fantastic but the florals always bothered me and kept me from fully enjoying that amazing concoction of dark cocoa, patchouli and vanilla. I get a very similar feel from Victorian Tobacco, doesn't list cocoa as a note but I assume it is the patchouli that smells chocolaty here. The juniper berries do give it a very slight herbal feel, specially in the opening but it is enjoyable and along with the apple, it provides a juxtaposition for the richness in the base. Performance is fantastic, best from the whole line performance-wise if my memory serves. Tip: Don't smell it up close as the scent is quite intense, let it do it's magic in the air. My girlfriend didn't like the fragrance when I asked her to smell my arm but another day, I gave it a full wearing and she complimented me. So yeah 🤷♂️

This smells sweet, creamy, and luxurious. It has a deep smell, and it lasts and lasts. I got some on the sleeve of my jacket, and my jacket has been smelling like it for weeks now. Not many colognes have grabbed and held my attention as of late. They either smell like something else I have, are just not that interesting, are weird, or they have longevity problems. This one cures all of those things. It is unique, reminds of a very sweet tobacco that I imagine being from a big leaf of flue-cured tobacco, sweet and without smokiness. It really lasts a long time and I can enjoy the scent all day. I love most tobacco scents, but this is the only one I have smelled that is creamy and gourmand while also being tobacco. Love, love, love.
