Chance

I think it's a lovely scent, gorgeous fruits and flowers, really warm, comforting, rich spices, and lovely earthy wood. It's really pleasant and quite exotic, and mature and serious, and sensual. There's a beautiful deep sweetness which I find very alluring, and and delicious. I think it's a very womanly perfume, and I adore the packaging!!!!

This is a rather heavy, heady, honeyed floral scent; dark, very 'ripe' floral notes with a little mustiness and some indoles. It is quite headache inducing for me -- maybe that's where the 'dislike' votes here come from--but it's not an unpleasant scent. It's not springy or flirty, but rather intense and serious. I cannot quite put my finger on the floral note(s), yet it's not discordant only unusual. At first sniff, I thought of the yellow mimose, but this doesn't match the description I found so I must be mistaken. There is a hint of lemon and a touch of wood. Sillage is modest at least, longevity 5 strong hours. I think if you like heavy older frags, love floral scents but are tired of sugared roses, musky violets or pale orange blossoms, this would be a treat for you.

As I am a fan of Geoffrey Beene for women, I expected to be crazy about this one too or at least find a kindred spirit scent. But alas, no. This one has a drop dead gorgeous bottle evocative of moonlight and elegance, but the scent is a bitter spicy affair that should have been tempered with warm woods or sweeter florals but counterintuitively chooses cool woods and sharp florals to its own peril. Not for me, but I am keeping it because the price was right and the bottle is so darn lovely!
