Imperial Patchouli

This fragrance opens with an earthy and sweet and grassy burst of patchouli, then in the dry down the floral notes emerge, a lot of rich and jammy rose that is softened and mellowed with a hint of vanilla, with just the right amount of sweetness. It's feminine, playful, and has a mature and sexy sophistication without reading as serious or pretentious. It's completely lovely. The performance is world-class. The atomizer creates these long sweeping sprays that cover a lot of territory very quickly, with staying power in the 12-24 hour range. Top shelf quality.

When i smell it at first time, and went to home I can’t wait to back again to store and buy it , the patchouli note is very strong its like a wet soil earth accord after rain in middle forest of patchouli & wood .. its my favourite to winter

The most ignorant combo you would ever do is patchouli with cinnamon and orange it is utterly puke inducive. a total waste of money. smells like rubber smoke elixir exactly.

Imperial Patchouli Gerini is a fragrance I definitely had to grow into. It sat on my shelf for a good few months, tempting me with its beautiful juice color and a name that promised exactly what I was looking for — patchouli. In this case, even imperial patchouli. However, if it’s in here at all, it plays a supporting role rather than a leading one. Unfortunately, it’s not clearly detectable. I bought it as a blind buy and, well, I got a bit burned (which sometimes happens with blind buys). The fragrance has a distinctly retro character — rich, multi-layered, and very bold. There is nothing airy or ethereal about it. It feels almost brutally straightforward. It’s bitter, intensely aromatic. There are plenty of woody notes, surrounded and slightly softened by something resembling an amber glow. Dark, distinctive, piercing. Full of green bitterness — somewhere between green bell pepper, galbanum, and petitgrain. This aspect is most noticeable in the heart of the fragrance. The opening is slightly softened by a touch of orange. In the base, the composition loses some of its green sharpness in favor of sandalwood, though it never completely lets go of that edge. I don’t detect any rose at all. As for the lavender, it leans very green — more like an infusion of stems and leaves with only a subtle hint of blossoms. Performance is more than satisfactory. On clothes, it can survive a wash; it lingers in the air long after application, and on skin it lasts all day. It works well in autumn and during spring forest walks. Probably not ideal for the office — unless you really don’t like your coworkers ;)

Gerini, Imperial Patchouli. This one is tricky and I may end up editing this as I wear it and the bottle is allowed to macerate. I laid a fat blast on the top of my hand and right away I got cinnamon, lavender and patchouli. In that order and I immediately thought of Boucheron Jaipur (EDP). The mid/early drydown of that minus a little sweetness and with some cacao mixed with patch and florals. This is surprising, in a good way. It smells modern but in a classic style. It isn't gravely or hard to understand the scent is fairly linear. Rose will rise up every so often and the way it blends with jasmine and patch is very appealing to me. I also keep detecting something like raw cacao, it's powdery and envelopes the patchouli at all times, that is a nice little treat and it adds a complexity and depth I really enjoy. If you enjoy patchouli and cinnamon I think this is going to talk to you, if not.. run away. This stuff is HEAVY oil content wise and it will probably need to be removed with steel wool and kerosene. One spray on the top of my hand filled the room with scent. There is nothing subtle here and I can say it's unisex but leans masculine. This fragrance makes me think and brings back some very good memories. One of my very best friends fathers passed away this morning. His name was Mark and he was a good man. A hippie through and through, this reminds me of him. It says "I'm not here to party man, I AM the party maaaannn." If you know you know. Love you papa Mark this bottle is for you.
