Orb of Night Opulence

was craving a new perfume hahaha and i LOVED ghost orb of night when i had it years ago and i wanted it again, however i tried opulence flanker and omg it is so good?? the original is very fruity and musky imo but this is 10x more musky whilst keeping that fruity note, i don’t get any floral or citrus in this especially on my skin (as i wouldn’t have picked it up cause im not big on floral/citrus), i loved wearing the original on summer days as it’s just the perfect balance of fruity but not too overwhelming and suffocating for a hot day, which i think would be the same with this one, cannot wait to wear!!

Such a gorgeous perfume, I even love the minty/menthol opening and the florals kick in with a background lipsticky scent. Sophisticated and very sexy to smell on another women

I don't understand the hate that this one gets! I have a sample of it and while it isn't interesting enough for me to buy a full bottle, it's quite nice and isn't unpleasant. The first thing I said when I sprayed it was 'crowd pleaser'. As long as you like orange blossom, it's pretty inoffensive. Also lasts for a long time and doesn't smell cheap, despite the low price tag. The cacao/capuccino comes out in the drydown and adds an extra dimension to the scent, which is nice. It's definitely worth trying if you're looking for a cheapie that smells similar to a lot of more expensive designer perfumes.

Got a sample of this and have been wearing it today, it’s pretty nice! Surprising for me as I’m not a fan of other Ghost frags after drowning myself in the OG in my teens. Pretty, sweet, and simple, my nose mainly gets orange blossom and a slightly soapy rose, although I don’t get much of the base notes other than a faint tonka, it’s not very long lasting. Definitely don’t pick up any eucalyptus or Carmex as others have noted. I think this would be a nice everyday scent for many people looking for something straightforward and affordable.

I received a random sample of this and was impressed - so much so I went and bought a full bottle which I rarely do these days. I don't have anything like this in my stash. Orris notes are my thing at the moment so perhaps that is why I like this so much. I don't really get much cocoa or coffee on the drydown (which is great for me as I am not a fan of coffee notes in paticular. I would be tempted to explore others from this line as they seem to last well and are well priced.

On me it smells a little like a soapy version of Black Opium. Intimate scent. Average longevity but with a cheaper price tag. I like the base notes. It's not overly sweet. The floral and citrus notes balance it well. I quite enjoy it and it would be a perfume I'd happily spritz over clothes or after a bath, or to get in bed, being relatively inexpensive. Inoffensive. Would happily get a bottle on offer.

Ghost Orb of Night Opulence is very different to the original Orb of Night. It's got a bit of a boozy scent to begin with, mixed with very strong pencil shavings! For me, this doesn't disappear and is a prominent feature of this perfume. The floral jasmine comes through quite strong at the heart of it. Picture this, you're a librarian, surrounded by lots of freshly printed books and recently shaved pencils. A window is open overlooking a garden in bloom, with a gentle breeze coming in with a scent of Jasmine and rose. I really want to like this perfume but the sandalwood really smells like pencil shavings and it's just really overpowering. Not a safe blind buy.

did not like the initial spray, perhaps bc of the pepper? the drydown is lovely and sweet though, with a very very slight coffee note.

Not the most incredible scent i’ve ever smelled, but not the most terrible either. It gives off wealthy old woman vibes.

I have purchased the OG Orb of Night before when it was on offer, Ghost fragrances are super cheap anyway but the OG was quite pleasant so I gave it a try and finished the bottle.This one is nothing alike. I really do not enjoy this cacao note that is being flung in with orange blossom in quite a few scents recently.It just doesn't work to me. It reminded me a little of Eilish and I didn't enjoy that either and also a little like Black Opium without the coffee. Not for me. Moderate longevity, sillage etc but bloody hard to wash off.Its a thumbs down.

I used a tester of this today and wasn’t keen.....whaaaat is that mediciny eucalyptus like note that dominates everything else? It’s been making me (and I’m sure an unfortunate fellow shopper who got too close) sneeze all day! Not a keeper for me.

I very nearly blind bought this as I have the original Orb of night which I absolutely adore, the shop I was in didn't have a tester so I nearly bought it thinking I would love it but something told me not to and to go to another shop with a tester and Im so glad I did, it's not often I hate a perfume but this was absolutely revolting It is straight up cough mixture and reminded me of Carmex cherry lip balm I would have been devastated if I had bought it, sorry Ghost but you got this terribly wrong

This is very strong and sexy, I love it Ambery warm fruity, inviting, big presence. It is sweet but not like those annoying arab perfumes, or the designer ambroxan bombs (looking at u Lattafa and Prada Paradox) no this one has understated elegance, soft cappuccino scent, milky sweet.. not sure how it compares to original, reminds me of La Nuit Tresor Lancome.

It’s like a weaker version of Lancôme La Vie est Belle. The scent is exactly the same, to me

I agree with the person below me. But tbh, everything is starting to smell like LVEB.

On the dry down can anyone else smell boss the scent elixir for her?

Bring back Deepest Night, it was the best, it was otherworldly.
