Fougère Italiano

Two years in my collection and i still love it! I have to thank my favourite reviewer Chris from scentland for this hidden gem! This is a fresh fougere, more ozonic than the usual scents of this genre, so not so much pine or herbal notes here. The juice is blue but it has nothing in common with the blue fragrances of today. Hard to compare to other scents, it has something from azzaro Chrome or prada l'homme, but the soft 90's vibe reminds a bit Biagiotti tempore uomo, but tempore is more flowery when fougere italiano is more ozonic.another one similar but not identical is Trussardi python for men, the vibes are very close. The blend is done perfectly, the aroma is classy but not too serious, this fragrance means holiday, happyness, comfort, relax. The performance is very good: nice projection for the first two hours, then is more quiet but not weak. Longevity about 7h. The price is a steal, in Italy u can find it everywhere at 20-25€ for a big bottle. A compliment getter for sure. One of the best cheapie ever made! Litterally Spring in a bottle! It's Bergamot + Jasmine, an airy, not cloying, not indolic fragrance, it reminds me of a blanche beer. I feel the pink pepper not in the opening but a bit before the drydown, it becomes noticeable only when the jasmine gets toned town. Musk in the drydown gives it a clean feeling, like freshly washed bedsheets (I like it, but I undestand it's a matter of personal taste) but it's in the background, and the cedar it's even more in the background. Yet they are present to contribute to make this fragrance also masculine. It's unisex in my book and it reminds me of Chanel Chance eau fraiche EDP, which I also consider unisex. Both are jasmine centric, while Chanel is a bit more feminine and won't suit the more manly men out there, Fougere italiano leans on the masculine side and won't suit more feminine girls. The citruses are more prominent in Chanel and it has better perfomance, to be expected considering price difference. It seems like it was made after my taste and my idea of a perfect spring sunday. Despite what I described as "airiness" the projection is decent for the first 2 hours, then it sits closer to the skin. Longevity is fine for a summer fragrance, I get at least 6 hours. Scent: 8 Performace: 6.5 Price: 10 (11€ /30ml) Overall: 8.2

Its "just" a big WOW from me... Did a blind buy on this one after some really nice reviews on Youtube, and I must say this one is my fav fragrance right now... A 100ml bottle of EDT tester was like 10 bucks... Its a complete steal... I have some really expensive stuff (YSL, Azzaros, Versace, Lattafa, etc) but this one something really really special... So soft, not masculine, but the harmony in this scent... Is just unbelievable. Its my top hidden gem of all time when I look for a fragrance... Job well done.

Im i love with this scent :) not right away after aplying, give it half an hour and then... man... literally, if you want to smell like a gent- this juice is no brainer :) fresh, litle bit spicy, does not scream in any shape or form, just a good, calm gentlemenly juice. can dress up, can wear polo, it will fit anywhere :) simple, straight to the point perfumery, not for youngsters guys, somehow it gives grown up wibes, in a good way, should be at least 35+ imho :)

Starts soft citric bergamot sweet not sharp florally jasmine sweet and smooth some green aromatics , clean fresh musky base that you start to get fairly early on with the jasmine ..like a Mediterranean garden heavy on jasmine after its rained. Not ozonic not even watery just Uber fresh sweet clean until a green soapy dry powdery finish . Simple clean springtime in a bottle ..Not strong performance ok sillage 5 hours on my skin not a long time but a good time

Got another bottle for like 11€. quest for dumb reach fresher for daily choirs has ended for my lifetime. Unless they discontinue this which I hope they won’t. My first bottle has bout 30% juice left and aged nicely. Performace is nice as I got about 2h of projection towards the end of last summer. Started to age replacement bottle to combine them when the hot weather arrives. My revoew of the scent itself is somewhere below. Btw testers do come with caps.

Spring flower with musks in the opening. Fresh spices in drydown. Quality punches above the price. Does not smell like rotten eggs unless your rotten eggs smell like mentioned above. Very light but designed to be light. Did not had the chance to test it in the heat yet. Best suited for late spring early summer and summer. Polo shirt while taking a casual walk on your fav adriatic vacation spot or even your car juice.

Got several bottles of it as it's so cheap and simply well put together. Fresh and floral, but not juicy or fruity, it's quite heavy on the musk, but a gentle and delicate, slightly sour one, it's actually really unisex to me. The vibe is such as if you mixed together Azzaro Chrome and 212 Herrera, with a pinch of the breeziness of Nautica Voyage. Simple but really well done : it is among the Cheapies Masterpieces

This is really good. Fresh watery musky clean...like a stroll along the Italian Riviera in a open white shirt. A familiar aquatic, but with a prominent - almost Lilac or Hyacinth-like - note...in the most masculine way possible though. At the price it's going for, it's a small masterpiece. Get it before it's gone forever.

I used to own a bottle of it and I remember I loved it. Great for hot summer days. It is not typical citrussy or shower gel type of aroma, has its own character.

Incredible, nostalgic, long lasting, great sillage, amazing price, one of the best atomizers I’ve used . All in all this is a masterpiece!

Nice elegant fresh citrus-ozonic-see salt fragrance with well balanced muscy jasmin woody notes. 10/10

I am using Fougere Italiano since March 2022. This is a textbook 90s-00s citrus-floral-musk, and to me it is a brighter and more floral/unisex version of 212 Men. It could easily be a flanker of it. I found a 30ml bottle for 10 euros, 50ml can be found around same price too if you dig deep, and had to try it, expecting a classic Italian barbershop scent, however to my positive surprise I got something similar to 212 Men and maybe more similar to Etro's Via Verri. The bright, metallic, grassy vibe of 212 is surely here with florals lurking behind mostly violet/violet leaf and jasmine, giving that unisex Nivea lotion note towards drydown, bits from CK One too. I think it is an amazing find for the price, and quality is great as well as the scent. Surely better than many expensive designers and so-called niche ones. This is hard to come by in retail but online there are great deals and there isn't much info about the fragrance at all. A total sleeper in my view...Maybe not as much anymore since I saw reviews mentioning some Youtubers talking about it, we'll see.

I just realized that this is already available here on Fragrantica. I bought this back on early 2022, because of Scentland. I had to dug on the web to find a bottle of it. Anyway, i kinda liked it at first, it gave me vibes of 212 Men but more floral-soapy and without the grass. But after a couple of months, it bored me and i ended up selling it. i still have a small decant just for wear it from time to time. For the price, it's nice. I payed 15€/100ml at the time. Difficult to beat. Not very longlasting and the sprayer, although pressurized, sprays a lot of juice, like Bogart pour homme. I dont like it, but spray from a distance and it's ok. The cap is heavy and the bottle is nice.

On skin, this did not smell like it did in paper, which was lemony fresh with dry woods. On skin, this opens up more interestingly and herbal. It's what I would expect Anise to smell like. That fades after an hour and then you get a pretty long lasting citrus musk combo that reminds you of the 1990s. It's a great value fragrance that competes with new 2020s fragrances because it's bright, citrusy, and refreshing. It can be dressed up or down and found for a very low cost. Great cologne.

Light airy and clean. Very floral in the air with a gentle white musk done right. Leans a bit feminine to me, but I have always had an issue with musk leaning scents for this reason. This makes me think of a light white dress shirts untucked, and unbuttoned on a breezy summer day. When you see an ad for male perfumery on a beach, this is the olfactive equivalent to that image. Punches well outside the price point. Definitely a hidden gem.

@Talgor wrote it perfectly. I like it, nothing more. Got it together with Pomellato 67 on a sale and definitely like Pomellato more. On the other hand I will keep this as it is a dumb reach, summery vibes, easy to wear and giving positive vibes frag. Also it has something in the background that makes it to stand out from the cheap freshies bunch. All in all a solid cheapie.

Not bad at all. Actually it's very good, fresh with prominent jasmine note. I bought it as a tester for 8€ and it smells way better than this price. The performance is moderate so I have nothing to complain about. Good stuff for summertime

Super ozonic and fruity fresh, it lasts long and projects well coming from the house of Ferre, genuinely impressed with this one. It smells like a rich man kicked back on a yacht in Amalfi Coast.

One of the best cheapies I've encountered. Picked this up for $22 CAD. A little muskier than I usually like, but it's so well done that I wound up liking it.
