Rosso Rubino

I blind bought this and it's a gorgeous unique perfume! It smells familiar but doesn't . It's so hard to put in words. The very first 10 seconds after spraying is very sweet and powdery but soon the powderiness goes away and it smells like cafe cabanel..I smell oranges and chocolate and a soft rose. As it dries down that similarity goes away and it takes on another personality. I can smell more pink pepper and moss . There is a fuzzy cat fur quality underneath. 4 hours later I can still smell it and now it has the same fruits and moss of mitsouko but softer and more modern. It finishes as a warm mossy woody fruit scent. It's absolutely gorgeous. I've only been wearing it for 6 hours but this review is from my initial impression from the first spray up to the 6-hour point and I love it! I can't wait to see what other people smell. It does evolve a lot. Update: wow! Woh! Crazy pink pepper and coumeran! When I first wrote this I had just put one spray on the top of my hand. Now I sprayed on my neck and my cleavage and I get so much pink pepper. It's even making my skin tingle lol and the coumeran is super strong It smells really spicy and powdery and sweet ...again.,The powdery is wearing away and then everything else I said comes into play. But if your sprayinh more than one spray the pink pepper might choke you. But it's awesome.

This scent is truly one-of-a-kind! One of the most unique fragrances I've encountered recently. It may not appeal to everyone, so sampling before buying. Perfectly unisex. Upon spraying, I'm hit with a complex array of notes and quite a bit of pepper. To my nose, I get a subtle, cakey patchouli with a mild fruity accord and something super delectable in the dry-down. I also get a modern balsamic rose combined with rich cacao, unlike anything I’ve smelt in this genre. While it earns a 10/10 for uniqueness, it's definitely not for everyone. I'll continue to sample and test before deciding on a bottle. Update- Day 3 of testing and I’m sold! The pepper opening fades after 30 minutes or so and you get this gorgeous, delectable base which I just can’t get enough of. Such an underrated gem! Immediately bought a full bottle.

I got this as a small sample and when I first sprayed it, it smelled of rose to me and little else. The first dry down smelled woody and I wasn't impressed, as I have hundreds of other perfumes and don't need another rose. But, I decided to overspray it and give it another try and this time, I am smitten. It is still floral to me, but I now appreciate its spicy elements and the faint citrus that lingers. It is a long lasting scent, not overpowering, and the dry down is distinctly sweet on my skin. I love gourmands and this one almost veers in that direction as it wears. I decided to buy a bigger bottle and this may be in my top rotation now. It smells nothing like Bianco Latte to me, so I am happy to have both in my collection and will likely get more from this house now.

A velvety rose and face powder combo - elegant and gorgeous! It’s like a sweeter, smoother Infusion d’Iris. Has a bit of a modernized L’Heure Bleue feel, but still gives off that vintage powder compact vibe. A sweetened amber powdery chypre, with a classy old-school touch. Kinda like Rochas Tocade, but more powdery and denser. Makes me feel like a noble goddess in a velvet toga and satin shoes, gracefully walking up the opera steps. Sublime. Love it! ❤️

I am so surprised by how amazing this thing smells and even more surprised it's only a 3.5! this is easily my favorite from this house, it smells like a coconuty creme pie with a slight hint of woodiness and orange. This would be perfect to wear during a tropical vacation or even a beach like setting. Love this and will be looking to buy a full bottle.

I absolutely love this! I It’s like being in a large forest, but I also smell something refined, balsamic rose, cacao and just maybe a little incense. The citrus keeps it fresh. I’ve never smellt anything quite like this and will definitely buy the full bottle for autumn and winter.

Another great release from Giardini di Toscana. Rosso Rubino is for the lovers of fruity aromatic fragrance. The berries and citruses are prominent from opening till dry down. Not very woody, imo. The longevity is so good with delectable sillage.

This is sexy and honestly my favourite from the house. There is something about this that makes me feel more confident and powerful. It is unique and memorable. Definitely worth to sample at least, it's one of those 'baddie' scents.

Totaly unisex. Great,great,great! One of a kind. Nothing smells similar,as I can remember. I would make mistake if I would say that this is rose fragrance....Such a good mix.

I like it a lot I need to get a full bottle now that I swapped my sample.

Cocoa Rose The opening is marked by a very clean citrus note—possibly bergamot—which gives the scent a crisp and orderly start. It feels as if the air has been cleared, allowing the rest of the composition to come through more distinctly. Very quickly, the cocoa note becomes prominent. It reads as a dry powder rather than sweet chocolate. There is no creamy richness; instead, it carries a slight bitterness typical of raw cocoa. The rose, in turn, moves away from its usual associations of sweetness or lushness. Against the cocoa backdrop, its sweetness is restrained, presenting more as a cool, dry rose. As the fragrance develops, oakmoss and patchouli introduce a dry, slightly earthy nuance. This stage brings a subtle soil-like character that adds depth and texture. In the drydown, the overall impression settles into a dry woody and mossy base with a gentle warmth and only a trace of sweetness. Personally, it is a composition I find very appealing.

I really didn't like this at first when I smelled it on paper, but then I tested it on skin for a couple of days and I fell in love. There's a tangy note at the beginning which made me discover about myself that I actually like citrus perfumes, then comes the rose and cacao which make me literally fall in love. I like to layer it with Bianco Latte to tame down the peppery notes and honestly I cannot recommend it enough. You should definitely try it. Get the discovery set and mix and match, you'll find all fragrances from Giardini di Toscana are wonderful in their own way and work together wonderfully.

This smells like a Lush store to me, not even a specific product, but the scent you smell when you enter a store or even just pass by a store on the street. I love that smell and have been looking for one and ironically Lush does not have one (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't tried all of their perfumes). This one is not spot on of course, but it reminds me of that smell. Also the performance exceeds that of the other perfumes from this brand by far. I put it on at night and could still smell it the next morning. I put it on in the morning and could smell it in the evening. Love it.

Smells like coconut cake topped with a spicy orange and cacao powdered sugar. Gets muskier as it dries on my skin, and the spiciness gets more prominent. This is a great autumn/winter scent, projects very strongly. I'd look into a full bottle once my sample is complete.

Just here to add that it lasts FOREVER on clothing. I have this piece of cloth that I abuse by spraying perfume on it, and after what now is a WHOLE YEAR, I can still smell rosso rubino on it VERY WELL

Love this one. Beautiful opening with a soft rose... Gives pleasant wafts throughout the wear. Dries down to the same DNA as Black Tie and Gold (Bold).

On strip tester - initial sharp spices with vanilla to soften. I'm getting florals as well, and cocoa now - zero fruits. 5 minutes: Already with the strip on the other side of my desk - it's kicking out spiced vanilla with a hint of chocolate, but I'm also getting rose and lemon zest? This is projecting off the strip like a beast - probably blooming with hedione, amboxide and galaxolide. The lemon zest + rose combo floating above chocolate vanilla is actually a very clever contrast. 20 minutes in: The rose is fresh - like rose petals in champagne There's something incredibly familiar about this - like a scent that was used in something from back in the 90s - but I can't pinpoint it.....yes I can Lancôme Trésor! 2 Hours: Cadbury's drinking chocolate mixed with baby powder and a sharp metallic top edge Final review: Rubino has turned into sweet makeup drawer/bag territory. I was expecting to find a tampax, a photo booth strip and a lipbalm next to it. Definitely more feminine leaning. This is Trésor with a bit of Bianco Latte mixed in. Strong projection for about 4 hours but changes rapidly to powdery vanilla as the drydown.

I can detect Cashmeran very easily in this one. I'd describe it as a spicy cashmeran.It definetely has an earthy base, as cashmeran tends to be, but on top it has spicy notes, pepper for sure, and something warm, which i cannot really pinpoint (some kind of ultra peppery cinnamon). High projection, can be detected meters away upon spraying, lasts pretty long too, at least on hair/clothes. Nice evening/nighttime scent, smells quite refined and expensive. Best for colder weather. I am considering buying a full bottle after sampling it (i ordered bianco latte and this came In the box too as a sample). I started to like it progressively, now I am close to buying a full bottle. I would recommend sampling before buying, see if it grows on you.

I have mixed feelings about Rosso Rubino. When I first apply it I get alternating whiffs of cacao, citrus, and berries. It’s interesting, fairly unique, though there’s a note here that reminds me of something I can’t seem to figure out. This fragrance is very long lasting, and that is where it becomes a problem for me. After the interest of the opening and after it has dried down, several hours later, it has a vaguely lactonic powdery plasticy floral vibe that I don’t love. At this stage I’m tired of it and ready to scrub it off. I really enjoyed the first few hours, but whatever this morphs into seems to linger on my skin forever.
