Salaria

The nose behind Salaria is the master perfumer Paolo Terenzi for the house of Giardino Benessere. There is something about this fragrance that makes it stand out from other aquatic fragrances. The smell of seaweed is complimented with the Myrtle note that gives it a fresh kick as if you have just emerged out of the water and you are now enjoying the sun drying the sea water off your body. Salaria than takes a turn as if it mimics the sun drying the skin and leaving it smell of salt, musk and cedar. This fragrance takes my soul to a beautiful warm sunny beach, a peaceful transcendental fragrance that evokes happiness and brings a serene smile to my face. Although it's not a beast I found Salaria to be a very long lasting fragrance on my skin. I applied four sprays one on each arm and two on my neck. Projection was at least 6 feet for the first 3 hours and it lasted well over 10 hours on my skin. I imagine that this will last even longer in the Summer season. Considering this sells for Euro 90 for a 100ml EDP The presentation of the fragrance is truly impressive. It comes in a sturdy big box that holds the heavy bottle in place, along with beautifully designed heavy cap. Although I rotate my fragrances, I will probably be reaching for this fragrance much more often than those I currently own as it’s such a wonderful fragrance to wear. Salaria in my humble opinion manages to create a successfully realistic environment of the sea, sand, salt and sun. It is an absolute beautiful aquatic treasure. 10/10

Almost 4 years into my perfume journey and only recently have I given aquatics a try they deserve. Salaria was among those decants I've grabbed on my aquatic discovery quest and ohhh was I enchanted. This smells like bliss! Seaweed-y, salty bliss. Salaria manages to be salty and herbal at the same time, it doesn't reek of those "marine" air fresheners (I'm looking at you, MMM Sailing Day). Is it a beach frag? I guess it is, although I'd rather pick "seaside" for this one. Thanks to all those recent discoveries, I now have two categories of beach frags in mind: velvet-coconut-goodness type ones and imaginative-badass-salty-herbal ones. Obviously, Salaria belongs to the second type and it does make you feel badass, just as if you're standing on a seashore, looking at waves on the horizon, feeling like you can take whatever comes your way. Sorry for being cheesy, but wearing this scent feels like recharging your internal batteries. It smells surprisingly good in humid winter, no idea about warmer times of the year yet. To be honest, I never smelled myrtle so no idea about this note, but seaweed, salt and musk are here in all their greatness. I guess musk is what gives it such a lasting performance and great sillage. I got a lot of compliments on it and a FB for New Year, yay! Aquatic, purely aquatic kind of scent that smells like pure bliss. The kind of salty, seaweed type bliss with some of the herbal traits. I can say this is a beach smell because as soon as I wear this one, there is freshness and a feel as if I am on a beach surrounded by water and sand all around. I found this one as an olfactory experience rather than the scent as this really takes me to the trip of beaches as I close my eyes. Salaria is an imaginative, herbal, and badass type of fragrance that charges one and smells good in humid winter-type weather. Longevity is long-lasting and the silage is strong for this one. It tends to bring so many compliments every time I wear it. The bottle is simple yet elegant. Overall accords in it are aromatic, marine, musky, and salty with the powdery, herbal, and fresh spicy ones. Opening notes in this one is myrtle and seaweed while the heart has cedar and salt. Dry down is totally musk. It gives me warmth, peace, and freshness. My beachy bitch <3

Salaria opens up with powerful notes of Sea Breeze that expertly envelop the sweetness of Cassis and Myrtle which are balanced with some Seaweed, which give a fresh salty tone to the whole composition. The heart of the perfume is echoed by Italian Lavender combined with the freshness of Coumarine, emphasized by the famous Cervia Salt, in counterpoint with fresh Calabrian Bergamot. The entire design is based on notes of powerful and precious woods that give a persistence to the incredible fragrance. Craftily mixed with each other, the Cuban Cedar Wood and Birch immediately reverberate, amalgamating with the regal delicacy of Sandalwood in counterpoint with the fresh Oak Moss, in turn enriched by the intriguing power of the Musk. A ferny fragrance with brackish and daring tones, that gives the strength of the sea to the wearer.

On the rare occasion that I got to smell this from my buddy, I've always wanted to grab a bottle for myself. Seaweed myrtle and salt mixed together makes Salaria a great aquatic perfume. My bud considers this as more woody though, regardless this house just keeps making impressive perfumes

Salaria is all about salty sea water, seaweed on the shore and wet stones with sea salt, salty breeze from the sea. Very realistic and beautiful, like one of my favourite fragrances Acqua di Sale by Profumum Roma. Amazing vibes, great memories from holidays by the sea. Love them both.

Super cool. Very unique scent. Sea water and the faintest hint of sweat after a long day at the beach

An extraordinary marine fragrance. It opens salty seaweed with fresh lavender and other florals. Unlike votes, for me floral notes inside of it makes this fragrance a bit feminine. But i can say that this is a pure unisex scent. At the first sniff, you get salty seaweedy marine and florals at the same time. When its getting to dry, florals fade away and salty seaweed with a bit woodiness remains. I think drydown is the best sequence of the scent. Longevity on the skin is about 10 hours and on the clothes longer that, about 18+ hours. Projection is quite good, first 3-4 hours projects very well and then it becomes skin scent. The price is impressive too you can find it 100ml full bottle about 80-100$ that is very nice for a niche quality fragrance.

If you come here searching for an Acqua di Sale's alternative, then congratulations -- you've found it. Salaria is the twin brother of Acqua di Sale. On the surface, they smell nearly identical; however, Salaria is more calm/ relaxing and wearable to me. ADS opens a little too strong, especially on the seaweed note, which may not be desirable for some. On the other hand, ADS performs better, both in terms of sillage and longevity. With that said, Salaria's performance is already very good. 2 sprays will give you sufficient projection (arm-length bubble) and at least 8-10 hours on skin.

Suprasing longivity for such a fresh perfume. I was very glad to find it and after I buy it I start with 4 spreys - to discover it is too much. Smell was a little bit too powdery and even sweet somehow. But lasts all day long on my blouse. At night I use only one sprey on my pijama and that's it. Nice fresh salty musk, 10 ours+. Sea notes are more prominent if Salaria is used on skin. And last very long too. Nice discovery.

A very salty scent, dominated by seaweed at the opening which lingers throughout the duration of the perfume. Later, some wood notes appear, but it all depends on how the scent is caught, here and there. Imagine yourself walking by the beach in the evening, with a cold wind carrying the scent of salty sea and seaweed. Nice overall, but not my cup of tea.

This is an incredible fragrance! Imo much better than oud minerale and very very close to Acqua di Sale with great price. Recommended

Not sure what I think about this. I have a 5ml sample that I might use up but it's not one I'd repurchase I think. It's very herbal to my nose which sometimes is nice but in this particular case I don't love it.

Smells excellent like vaporub: strong aromatic herbs (mostly myrtle) and some vaseline sort of scent. It also has something sweet, but I’m still not too sure if I’d like to smell like this. My ig: scent.guide

For me, it's just ok. I expected something more marine, but it has a strong minty thing that it's a bit off puting, IMO. If you like minty fragrances, it'll be 100% for you.

Is this suppose to be subtle scent? I see many people voted as long lasting but i sprayed 10times,the scent is arm length and scent is almost close to skin.

This is compared review of Salina & Salaria. They are not dupes! Salina starts very rough. Salty, rough, almost smelling like parsley on My skin. It needs few hours to settle a bit, and then it becomes marine. But marine here is, like it’s name says, a small mediterranian village, with lots of fish-hunting boats that have specific smell. That’s salina, being bossy, loud and pushy, making you close your eyes and Experience early mornings by the saside where fishing boats are returning from night hint, loaded with fish. Salaria on the other hand is pure relax. You’re at the mediterranian, but your morning is no rush. It’s waiking up surrounded by loads of medditeranian plants, especially lavandel. Even mimosa (which is pretty selten smell) can be noticed. Calm. That’s Salaria. Smelling clean, perfect and leaving Trial of being all dressed up without making an effort to acheive it.

An aquatic fragrance with the marine, aromatic, salty, musky accords along with the herbal, woody, powdery and fresh spicy accords to it. Few notes are there but all perfectly balanced and well blended. Top notes are Seaweed and Myrtle; middle notes are Salt and Cedar; base note is Musk. Performance is outstanding with the long-lasting longevity and enormous silage. Absolutely unisex with good value for money. I get a fresh marine like kick from this every time I wear it as if I am on a sea side enjoying the sun and breeze. Peace, warmth, freshness and all the happy feelings associated with this amazing beauty. Additionally, the presentation is truly impressive for this fragrance which comes in a sturdy box with lovely bottle and beautifully designed heavy cap. Juice is doubtless amazing. True treasure!
