Armani Code Absolu Femme

Yes, Yes, Yes to this gorgeous perfume. I was intrigued by this perfume because of the bottle colour (I am sucker for gold) and I was curious if it would be whatever I imagined it to be like since I couldn’t test before splurging on a full bottle online. Well, it was love at first spritz. It is just “gorgeous”. Feminine, captivating, just the right amount of sweetness and spice. It works extremely well with my skin chemistry and bounces off beautifully on me. Everytime I catch a whiff of it as I move, I am like “What is smelling so good?” And I realize it is Code Absolu Femme. I am so glad I gave in to my curiosity. It’s a great floral, spicy, sweet fragrance for a woman who loves her life and lives it boldly and unapologetically. There is a sense of carefree, energetic spark to it that draws me in every time. It dries down to a powdery finish that is makes it generic but still smells really nice. It becomes subtle too quickly for my liking but I love it enough not to be mad about that. Will I buy again? If I could have the top notes last throughout the fragrance, yes I would.

This doesn‘t reinvent the wheel, but it smells just like something called Armani Code Absolu should smell like. It keeps the Code DNA and it‘s very warm, rich and full of hypnotizing white florals. I can‘t decide if I smell more tuberose, jasmine or orange blossom, every time I sample this a different flower takes the center stage. All equally beautiful. The opening is almost fizzy with ginger and citrus notes and a cinnamon-like spicy quality. But what keeps it all together is the super intense, creamy vanilla and the equally lovely, nutty-sweet tonka bean. This is the creamiest fragrance in the Armani Code line and perfectly balances between intoxicating white floral and delicious vanilla nut gourmand. It’s super smooth without any hard edges. I have recently bought Armani Code Ultimate and don‘t feel the need to acquire another Code soon, but if I did, it would be this one.

This very much retains the DNA of the original Code, just turn up the ginger to eleven and add neroli. It's not as smooth as the original because of the ruthless ginger, which makes the first spray a lot like high-strength cleaning detergent. So, give it time to settle and you get that gorgeous neroli with warm ginger, and the background of the original Code as a base for the two. It's warm, sweet, neroli-forward, and still quite different from the rest of today's offerings. I've always appreciated the original Code (pre-reformulation) for being so unique. I'm happy to have this Absolu flanker, as it does hearken to the pre-reformulated Code like another reviewer mentioned. I would wear this spicy, gingery floral year-round, only with a lighter hand for warmer months.

I can feel the code dna. looking at the vote notes which have vanilla and tonka leading the way.. i actually reckon the accords are more accurate. This isn't a sweet bomb- if one were to rely kn votes .. it has the whote florals, i dont think its too similar to dior addict.. Very nice tho

Hi I really wanted to know about how does this perform I cant.find a scent that stays and projects would anyone recommend this one?

It is Very sexy floral seductive mysterious perfume it got very good projection with great longevity

It is creamy and nice but all I can think of is a creamy Alien!

11/11/21 - I got this from Armani's website directly. This performs better than Armani's original code (for women) which I also own, but that's not saying much. The formulas for BOTH are on point. Beautiful scents. As someone who makes lotions myself, neroli is often used to tone down other fragrances. So with the 20% base note, 30% middle & 50% top note for the 'oils' putting neroli as a top note, muted the potential of the other notes to have their lime light. By the dry down, the vanilla and orange blossom remained. Since I only paid $35 for this, I can't complain too much since I got it on sale. I use this to spray my husband's car along with the original due to the weak performance. Since it's heating up in Fl right now, it's fine for a quick run into the grocery store to cover the smell of chlorine or the beach water. It's frustrating when a scent is so beautiful like original code for women and this flanker only for the company to reformulate & still demand a high price point, that's a formula for companies to lose customers. The younger generations don't know what the original scent smells like but as an 80's baby, I remember. Either start charging the sale price year round or add more oils to the perfume to justify the high year around price point. I LOVE the formulas, just disappointed in the poor performance. In no way shape or form am I advocating for people to purchase 'inspired by fragrance oils' since I am not a fan of hi jacking intellectual property, but it says a lot when essential oils last LONGER than the real thing and are 95% on point. It eats away at innovations, redacts from the authenticity. Customers are left thinking "Why are company's reformulating their perfumes, when essential oils making inspired by dupes" last longer and smell like the real thing? It dips into your a company's profit margarine which is a contributing factor to cutting costs. Please return to the glory of Code for women from the 90s. The scents are beautiful including this flanker. The initial Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Mandarin orange and orange blossom notes = love @ first spritz. 💘💘💘Plz improve performance. I'd pay double if it lasted.

I'll love this in the Fall/Winter, but it's too much in high heat. It's a spicier Armani Code with a more prominent ginger note, which I love. (I use the original Code year round, day and night). In high heat: I get a licorice/root beer note buried in the composition on my skin. I think this is probably the neroli acting up with the other notes (tuberose and tonka?). Dries down to a very potent, deep scent. It's not too sweet, but it is too medicinal on me. (I feel the same way about this as I do about Mugler Aura in hot weather: too choking.) Beautiful drydown! A spicy, powdery, vanilla. Honeyed, but not overly sweet. Gorgeous Spicy Floral! Can't wait to try this when it's cold outside.

Not a fan of overly flowery opening with neroli. However it settles quite quickly and the scent becomes a creamy/balmy combination of vanilla, tonka, ginger (that one is quite sharp and lingering for a long time) and orange blossom. Very classy and lovely scent. If Armani was able to execute the creaminess here reminding the pre reformulation OG, why do we still have to buy reformulated OG that has nothing to do with the creaminess we used to love? If you throw away tuberose, neroli and ginger from this one and add some honey instead, you have the OG before reformulation. And that, with no offense to really nice Absolu, I would prefer much more. 7,5/10

This opens very fresh and waxy, like a non-menthol citrussy tiger balm with added flowers and ginger, if that makes any sense. The original's DNA is definitely there. Though a completely different scent, the ginger in this reminds me of the ginger in Dior's Poison Girl Unexpected. Dries down to a balmy white floral with a touch of fresh spices and some sweetness. I do not find this similar to Dior's Addict, but I can understand the comparison, probably because of a similar chemical/medicinal vibe, not in a bad way though. Unfortunately, this doesn't have huge projection or longevity, at least not on me.

They are perfumes with perfect parameters. When it comes to that, it does resemble Dior's Addict, but the DNA of the basic Armani Code is still perceptible, and it also reminds me very clearly of Mugler's Alien and Zadig & Voltaire This is Her. Armani Code Absolu Femme are essential, thick and creamy - this creaminess makes the whole thing a bit retro and suits a mature woman. Among the ingredients there are neroli, ginger, jasmine, tonka and vanilla. This is a typical evening version, during the day it can be overwhelming.

Accidentally got this instead of the male Code Absolu, but I like it. Not a fan of that sharp white floral opening, but it gets to the dry down quickly. As it settles, it's a creamy vanilla with a subtle hint of florals in the background. That creamy vanilla smells great in the air, it's like a cream soda. Honestly pretty decent and I'd wear it as a guy.

It is very similar to the original code but this one is deeper and more sensual. I like the original one a little bit more since it projects more on my skin. I also enjoy the honey note in the original but this version is more on the tonka bean side. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming.

I emailed Armani Beauty Canada to find out when this will be released... Turns out this will not be made available to the Canadian market! Very disappointed. The Code line is my favorite designer fragrances. I really hope I can get hands on this someday.

I love it, but the longevity and projection are quite poor on me. Code Satin and Cashmere have a better projection and last longer.

One of my co-workers wears this at the office and it has huge projection! Very nice perfume but more suited for fall or winter IMO.

For a weird reason it does smell similar to dahlia divin to me 🤔

Not sharp as I hoped... On my skin, this one developed too boring...; like for 50+ wmns office... Only plus is that it doesn't develope powderly... Had to find another perfume, and this one sits on shelf, waiting for winter time...

I am floored by not only my reaction to this, but also my husband’s. We are huge fans of the original for women and the original for men, which made me feel like we would love this one. Not even close to a love! Still not even a like. More like a “can tolerate”, but probably not for long. It smells like toilet bowl cleaner to me. No amount of time to the dry down changed that for me. A positive for those who love it is that the staying power is great. Even after washing with soap and water, I can still strongly smell it. That one spray just will not go away. My husband’s repeatedly said, “that ones not working for me.” In other words, he did not find it at all sexy.
