Emporio Armani Stronger With You Freeze

I've had a chance to wear this in freezing cold winter, and now in warmer temperatures. I'm a fan of the entire line--except the original. I've seen people say this is a fresher take on SWY. I don't really think "fresh" is a word I would use to describe it. Brighter, more citrus. Cooler, yes. Like a cold sprite on a hot day, not a fresh breeze or clean shirt. In colder weather, this opens up very citrusy, very bright. Performance is what you would expect from an EDT in the winter: Average. But it's still nice on a bright winter day, from open to drydown. 5-7 sprays in close to freezing temps. In warmer Canadian spring weather, it's a citrus and bubblegum opening. It's too sweet for me and my better half for the first 5-10 minutes, but it quickly settles and is fantastic from there. Still sweet, but not so juvenile like the opening. Above average performance now, I would stick to 4-5 sprays under 20 degrees C (68 degrees F), and maybe 2, max 3 sprays above that temperature. Would avoid daytime over 27c/80f degrees, but in the cooler summer nights this will be amazing and different from the freshies.

This one's a banger! So fresh and still with that well known SWY DNA that we all love. To my nose it starts with a beautiful and rich citrus blast, with after a while mellows down and gets closer to the OG DNA, but without losing its citrusy freshness. I get a subtle hint of a soapy powderiness in the dry down. I don't usually love powdery frags, but this stays in the background and is very much likeable. Projection is totally acceptable but definitely not a monster, however longevity seems to be OK, with maybe 4 hours or so on my skin. An absolutely great spring and summer frag! I just bought a dupe of it from "nicolefragrance.se" so I can save up on my new bottle of Freeze. I'll update when I get it to let you know how close it is to the OG. UPDATE: So the dupe is decent. Initially quite similar but the drydown is different. The OG is more profound, more complex and sweeter and it has substantially beter longevity. But since the OG is becoming so scarce, a dupe might be worth it if you're looking for an alternative.

I really like this scent. Some people say it's "nothing special", and yeah - there are far more "special" smelling fragrances out there. But to me this fragrance in particular achieves something not many others do for me. The weather were I live is very hot during the day and very cold during the evening, and SWY Freeze opens with a refreshing mix of citrus and ginger in the beginning, then slowly transitions into a slightly sweeter (and just the tiny bit heavier) vanilla and cardamom combo. Making this a no brainer type scent for me at least. By no means is this a "blue scent" in my opinion - but to some it might serve the same purpose and use cases as the Y line, Bleu de Channel or other blue scents. It doesn't project as well as the (pardon the pun) "stronger" fragrances in the SWY line, but I don't feel it's a deal breaker, especially if you can find it for a fair price despite being discontinued.

I have intensely and expected this to be more of the same but not at all true. I find it very different to the original Stronger with you DNA. Fresh and bright on the opening with the citrus and slight sweetness. It dries down very clean and stays fresh without the citrus of the opening which only lasts 30 mins to an hour but still retains the slight sweetness throughout No gourmand sweetness of the original and in my opinion drys down to a scent that's very very close to Chanel egoiste platinum.... which is no bad thing ! I disagree with others who say it dries down identical to intensely this is simply not the case it's totally different. I do agree with bluelux the drydown is really nice and has a clean barbershop vibe . also agree with baliszonyi. The drydown does remind me of chanel egoiste platinum which I also like and own.

If you're comparing this to Stronger with you Only they are completely different, the only similarity is that they are both suitable for all year round depending on the climate where you live in. Here in the sub-tropics SWY Only it's an all year round fragrance, both day and night, except the high heat during summer days. Freeze is suitable all year round, except the coldest days and nights in winter. Only is the same as the original but not as strong and not as sweet. I don't think you need both, personally I have Freeze, the citrus is delicious on top of the SWY DNA, and I'd prefer the original with the sweetness for cooler weather. Hopefully they release another Freeze sort of flanker in the future now that this one is discontinued.

I love all the flankers in this line. Don't care about the original. Absolutely is my favourite, but I'm really glad I found this one. It's definitely unique which is nice because I've been picking up a lot of popular ones lately. The fresh citrus punch is massive in the beginning, and then it's just a delicious sweet and slightly masculine scent from there. It's currently -8 Celsius where I'm at, and I'm not a huge fan of citrus in this temperature but it works. My girlfriend liked it and said it seemed a bit more for the evening because it's definitely sharper in this weather. I think in warmer temperatures it will change faster and have a different character. Looking forward to what that's like, and I'll update my thoughts then.

It is much fresher version of SWY. Only a bit less sweet and dry down comes much sooner. Base notes are pretty much the same with less Amber wood sweet. I actually like the quick setting of this fragrance since the fresheness can veer this fragrance into "synthetic" ish fresh if you over spray it. Good for all ages during warmer weather but I can say you can wear this any time of the year at anytime if the day with modest amount of sprays. Not a cold weather fragrance but if you are going to be wearing this in the office, anytime of the year works. I actually prefer this more than the og SWY. Great longevity if your spray it on clothes (7-8 hrs) with modest projection and sillage.

So imagine this: You spray SWY Freeze and you are hit with this cooling light fresh spicy mildly citrus opening Then its followed by the OG SWY DNA - that chestnutty slightly sweet vanilla Beautiful fragrance, why this isn't turned into an EDP or Extrait is beyond me I got a small 15ml bottle for £11 and i just wanted to smell it since i heard it got discontinued, i am glad i did. This contrasting combo of fresh icy opening + warmer wintery dry down needs to happen more often. I believe Angel Share On The Rocks maybe doing something similar so i am looking forward to trying that. You can rock this all day every day and its unisex with an ever so slight masculine lean.

why the HELL did they discontinue this? i was very shocked to put my nose on this, this is absolutely amazing! this is like armani's version of YSL Y. you can tell there's the SWY dna sitting in the background but with so much uplifting citrus/summer vibes in the top belting at you. its clean and aquatic but the vanilla in the base gives it such a pleasant sweetness. its kinda like the same sweetness you get from layton. like you KNOW layton has vanilla in it but you're not smelling straight vanilla. it just adds a great sweet foundation to let the other notes shine even more. this is hands down my favorite from the line and i now own all of the SWY's.

dont wanna sound biased, but this is my absolute favorite smell. as much as cool it is to not be mainstream and whatever, this perfume is for me 10/10. Got me the most compliments, stays on ur skin for quite long and projects on my skin perfectly. i have been looking for this fragrance everywhere pretty much and i cant find it. dont be confused by the "freeze" in its name, its a perfume that can also be worn in summer. citrussy, a fresh spice and apple. idc what anyone says against this perfume, for me it'll always stay s tier. if i find this anywhere again im buying it 100%.

Went from loving it, to hating it, and loving it again. Maybe that’s because it might be one of the weirdest fragrances in my collection. Why? Well, the scent itself is really sweet, yet it is really fresh at the same time. That combination of vanilla, ginger, lime, and mandarin orange with a touch of lavender and green apple in the background resulted in a really good blend. Just because of that scent profile, I think it’s very suitable for every season and almost every occasion. The performance is also really good on me. Easily 8 to 10 hours+ with a very good projection.

Tested it today. i get a lime and ginger vibe in the start. In the middle you gety like a semi fresh semi sweet scent. Very much like the original but just a bit fresher vibe, it doesnt project much, this is the least projecting, then original and intensely is beast mode. I got Intensely, chosen that one above original. I can see taking this one for day, as it's the most versatile. It is not a wow scent, but a very fine scent. very versatile and pleasing. Edit: now 12 hours later still getting whiffs of my skin. Wow this is longlasting

I love most of the Armani SWY line especially the original and this Freeze was a blind buy for me. Well, no regrets I love this one. As a fresh take on the original, its opening, performance and projection, are just right up my alley. Worthy to wear for Spring and Summer and a valuable addition to my collection. Let me give this wonderful juice a 9/10 “Let's spread the scents of peace and kindness. Huge fan of original SWY, for me one of the best frags. Blind bought this one. What to say , not so fresh aside from its citrusy opening, very boring/generic drydown, not even remote resemblence to original dna. It's even closer to Y edp than original. No cardamom/chestnut in the drydown. more like vanilla/amberwood combo. I still use it as a summer evenings frag (as said, huge fan of original, so I save it for fall/winter). Smells a lot like the original, but less sweet. Bit different nuances from the citrus and ginger, reminds me more of Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Yellow Dream, but also less sweet and focused more on wood-notes. Longevity is OK, projection is terrible. But that doesn't really matter to me. I just have to go heavy on the trigger. Conclusion: Love the scent, would wish for better performance tho.

Great flavor! It's a pity that it seems to have been discontinued, as always happens with really interesting flavors. imagine that luxurious sweetness stronger with you, but muted by 2 times, and hidden behind fresh citrus-lime fiber with ginger. The bottle also has a steep matte coating like frost. Durability was good in the early versions.

Not going to lie I thought this would be terrible. However upon trying a miniature bottle I wish this wasn’t discontinued. It’s a gorgeous unisex sweet and fresh stronger with you, everything you want from the original edt and more fresh with a combination of lime and ginger. Simply amazing, with about 5-6 hours of actual longevity.

The overall profile is warm and sweet, coupled with a bright and fizzy effervescence in the opening. Not as sweet as it's predecessors (but still sweet). Very pleasing and blind buy worthy if you like this style of fragrance. Performance is average on me (but I soak up frags). Handsome looking bottle on the shelf to boot. Thumbs up!

A great smelling summer fragrance let down slightly by performance. The opening is very heavy with lime but has a vanilla like sweetness lingering in the back. The drydown keeps like lime note but moves it further back in favour of a more familiar swy smell, like if the OG was made less nutty and sweet and more bright and citrusy

Its criminal how this is rated the worst emporio armani stronger with you formula. I really think this is sucha underrated and i dont understnad how more people are not talking about it. It truly is a head turner of a fragrance that is incredibly quirky vinegar elevates the emporio style.
