Oranger Alhambra

This is a stunning product.Hope my review can help.I can tell I have tried a lot of parfum in my young life of 30 now. Also I worked in a sensory lab for a short time and my nose is mostly very sensitive to some smells and odors. I bought it in Germany for 140€ after comparing it to Dior- Eau de Savage and Acqua Di Parma- Essenza di Cologna and many others.Those two are damn close to it.Try it yourself! Dior is more green and more intense in the nose, smells chemicaly and not that tender. Just not as good as Oranger Alhambra. Essenza by AdP is more spicy, made vor men and has a longer lasting I remember.Would give it place number 2. Oranger Alhambra is more tender, more bitter Orange and Bergamotte, Oak moss in the drydown and super fine herbs that remember me of a soap you find in the Venetian Hotel Macau/China. Here comes the point. More soapy, clean and lighter then the other two. A bit more sour! Maybe more female but I still prefer this on a man. I dunno whats the secret ingredient here but it puts this Scent miles in front of the others.Must be the Oak moss with some other herbs, like the italien Soap I had in the 5 star Macau Venetian Hotel.So similar!After leaving Macau 18 month ago now i smell on my Oranger Alhambra and can still feel the sun on my skin on Taipa Island. Really made for a summer evening on a nice beach or an italien Garden of Capri Island maybe. Sorry I am dreamin again. Well.It has a soso longevity,ok. The other 2 do better but are maybe to aggressive to some female noses. The Bottle looks stunning! And the Dark Brown stone as lid is the eyecather in my flat.Next to another Prive.BRAVO Armani! scent: 8,5/10 longevity: 5/10 sillage: 6/10

Honestly? Its an orange flower citrus scent. None of these notes last very long. Its a beautiful scent. For the first hour. Then it disappears on the skin. Its fleeting, which makes it a little more romantic... Its such a beautiful and masterful scent, it was a true tragedy that it didn't last longer. If you have ever been to the Alhambra in spring, this is remarkably close... I was there in March of 2015, and this immediately conjured up memories of their gardens. First spray: like the burst of an orange peel, mixed with crushed leaves. Brash, bright, rather glorious. 15 mins in: definitely orange flowers, but in gentle and cool shade. Soft green herbal spice at the very edge, flirted with by a touch of moss... the kind that leaves a peppery smell on your hands after touching the trunk of an old tree. 1 hour in: fresh shower soap, skin scent. Boys, put this on your neck, and your significant other will be making a special effort to get closer to you and breathe you in. It's blends with skin very very well. 3 hours in: gone. You will want to get this because it is extremely dynamic. Like all wonderful things, this is tragically fleeting and makes you nearly desperate for more. You will have to reapply this often, and you'll use the whole bottle in a very short time... but you can wear it anywhere, and it is absolutely unisex.

The opening reminds me of Guerlain Homme Intense (2009) , and they both are aromatic citrus technically. The drydown is just like introducing a few camphor and more orange into Dior Eau Sauvage (1966) . Trust me, this part is quite close to ES (esp. the formula before 2007) , the same chypre except for some twists, thus gives me a illusion that if Armani wants to make his own version of Eau Sauvage. Even though he did once by releasing the dilettantish Armani Pour Homme (1984) , but this time is different. If you want to but can hardly find an earlier—at least the previous(2014)-previous(2011)-previous(2007)—formula of ES , choose this one in compromise. Longevity: 4-5 hrs on skin, 8-10 hrs on clothes. Rating: 7.0/10 .

It's not sweet like Orange Sanguine, but rather a bitter dry orange peel with woody oak moss. Not what I was expecting, but I still like it alot!

seriously for a perfume thats so expensive? it was like spraying the most basic and old-fashioned cologne with lots of bitter citrus and oak-moss. after 20 mins i couldnt take it anymore and sprayed the versatile simple chanel allure edition blanche on top of it. scent: 4/10

Smell like Acqua di Parma but double price

I had very high hopes for Oranger Alhambra, because every Armani Privé I've tried so far has been outstanding, and this list of notes in particular looks like a dream come true to me. Unfortunately, now that I've had the chance to sample it, I have to admit it doesn't quite work for me in practice. There's something about the combination of tart orange and green herbs that makes it turn just a little sour on my skin/to my nose; unfortunately my first thought when I sprayed it on was "pickle juice!", and I haven't been able to get rid of the association on subsequent wearings. I'm not sure if it's just a simple question of taste (it might just be a little too much to the masculine side of unisex for my own taste?), or if my sample has gone off, or if it really doesn't react well with my skin chemistry or what, but anyway I don't really feel qualified to really review this one. A disappointment, but it's probably just as well if this is discontinued and as hard to find and expensive as it appears to be...

Bitter orange...petitgrain...Patchouli...Oakmoss... Sound familiar??? Smells even more familiar. You guessed it folks. If you've ever smelled Hermes' "Eau d'Orange Verte Concentre", you're essentially smelling that here. It has the same notes. Opens up very authentic, "orange-y". In the mid, you'll start to grow a mustache, then by the drydown you'll have chest hair coming out of your dress shirt while you sport a gold chain and aviators. This is a mans orange. It becomes very bitter as the sweetness of the opening fades away. It's definitely pleasant, and it suits any male 25 +. I don't really see this being appealing on a woman. But hey, who am I to judge? This is basically modeled after the Eau d'Orange Verte. I applaud Armani, as they've somehow managed to make it more pleasant. Good stuff, just very familiar.

As a consummate lover of citrus aromatic fragrances, I find that so many of them are love at first spray but at the blink of an eye they have disappeared into thin air. Of course,it does make sense that something so light and refreshing would not be long lasting so that is the price one pays for that sparkling instant gratification. This is not the case when it comes to this lovely Armani scent! At first one is bombarded with the bitterness of Seville oranges and verdant oakmoss but in no time all the citrus notes jump in, effervescent and joyous. But what is loveliest about Oranger Alhambra is the herbaceous and earthy dry down. From start to finish, Oranger Alhambra captures the unique resplendence of an ancient Moorish garden where the aroma of orange trees, herbs and romance fill the sun filled air.

Armani Prive Oranger Alhambra is evocative of the walls of the Alhambra itself, in Spain-an incomparable garden that is a piece of paradise on earth. The influence of Islamic culture and its great architecture is fixed for perpetuity : the stone monuments, marble mosaics and canals channeling the waters of the Sierra. in this fragrance I detect a glint of Lemon, then, Petitgrain (that adds a touch of sharpness, greenness and vitality). The heart notes are full-bodied, authentic and simple; Rosemary and Marjoram add an aromatic and natural facet when blended with Jasmine. Finally, base notes of Moss and Patchouli lend an occidental drydown to the fragrance which seems drenched by the Spanish Andalusian sun.

After seeing a review from Lupe Experience i bought a bottle. I am so glad,along with myrr imperiale and vetiver babylon, these 3 are an unbelievable trio. Opens like t hermes but not as bitter, much more freshness. Silage great in 1st hour and half to 2 then goes to skin scent. Really what u spray is what you are going to get. The lines hard to find. SAKS in our area has the line. Its the top orange fragrance,puts atelier in the back burner

I tried this last night, and it was love at first spray! Orangey, woody, warm, like a hot Summer night somewhere beautiful in the Med..... I loved it. For the first half hour. And then it started to smell like hairspray. I would not have been happy if I'd bought this. Longevity was pretty poor too. Such a shame! It opened with such promise!

The opening smells like fresh peeled blood oranges. I thought, who wants to smell like an orange? But after a half hour it comes some oud in it and then the whole composition smells like an expensive body cream. Not bad if you want to smell creamed the whole day. It makes very pretty masculine scent too.

nothing special. just another citric perfume. Eau savage type. i wouldn't recommend it for women. it's more masculine fragrance. the price is too high for the simple smell. Armani Prive? so what? it must have been more interesting.

Reading from the ingredients, I know it straight away that I will love this perfume. The bottle design is such an elegant one. Chic as well. Typical Armani.A must try!
