Akoya

Sweet but not overly sweet raspberry and citruses perfectly balanced with some florals and patchouli, sandalwood and a hint of leather in the base. Caramel adds another subtle layer of sweetness in the mid. Lasts a very long time as expected from a Gissah fragrance and projects very well for hours and hours (on clothes until the next wash!) Will certainly get you the odd compliment, but Akoya stands head and shoulders above your average crowd pleasing designer scent. Can be worn in Fall, Winter and on most Spring days, at least here in Western-Europe. Personally I don't think far-fetched comparisons to Oud Maracuja and even Imperial Valley are very useful in understanding this blend. 9.6/10

This is a big daddy of Gissah a great house from Kuwait. The best out of there league. Bottle itself is sexy. Nice touch to it. Boxing is creative. The projection is double beast. When it talks it just doesn't scream it beats bigggggg loud.. Few extra sprays and you shall be notable from long distance easily a Hall filler. Probably not a blind buy for many soft noses. It's not an office or professional wear

I was on a look out for a sweet woody fragrance with a hint of sandalwood and was unable to find what my nose was actually looking for. Tried Oud Maracuja, Noir Kogane but both were missing a note or two. Tried this at a Gissah shop in Doha and instantly fell in love. It's a compliment magnet, with beast mode performance and longevity. Now it has become my signature fragrance.

This is a vary nice sent top not of raspberry and citrus and a bases of woods patchouli and leather it is raspberry dominant but the oriental base not dose balanced out much like Oud Maracujá that are both fruit balanced with oriental there are very different this one is furniture more summer casual and scratchy in a good way

Its a lighter version of oud maracuja more wearable more versatile with less character but overall very good fragrance with nuclear performance it's perfectly unisex

It smells like a high quality sun cream on skin during a hot day by the water... I love it so much but i get noseblind to it pretty fast as with many other frags.

Beast mode last all day on me, really love the raspberry opening.

The opening is so different to the mid and base. In the air, after it has been sprayed for a little bit, the lingering scent trails screams oud maracuja to me but side by side on the opening they are completely different! Really pleased by how this fragrance develops and changes. Sillage is solid, on par with La Luna.

The opening is so good to me but I’m not a big leather fan I was hoping it wasn’t very prominent in the dry down but the leather on my skin is super strong in the dry down, my fiancé said I smelled like a rubber tire lol still tryna get used to the leather bc how much i love the opening

Suprised there are no similarities to Tuscan leather on this one. The raspberry-oud-leather is very Tuscan leather like

To my nose this is pure animalic scent leaning leather or gasoline rather than something creamy woody typa scent. Opening has a little bit of fruitiness (I mean a little so little you couldn’t detect without sniffing intentionally) and then just woody+animalic. Solid performance even after 6 hrs I still feel it all the time which almost annoyed me to death. I still couldn’t imagine who would I love to wear this. And for some reason it’s similar to Marj by Ahmed al Maghribi but a less harmonious version.

This is a patchouli bomb and I detect an oudy smell to my nose. I’m not usually a fan of oudy scents but this one is a more wearable one for me as its a scent profile I sometimes have trouble with and there’s not many scents either this profile that I’d choose to wear. This one is balanced with fruity sweetness making it more user friendly to me.

Instantly brought me back to hookah café. Smells like shisha! I wouldn’t consider this is as Oud Maracuja clone.

This definitely had nuclear performance. 2 to 3 sprays lasted forever, and could be smelled the next day. I kept getting a raspberry, leather,oud, and sweet smell overall. It just wasn’t in my taste profile. I wish I liked it as the scent lasted forever and filled up a room, but I had a few comments that it smelled too feminine and sweet, and was too strong to wear to the office

this perfume gave me vertigo, the raspberry is disgusting and it gave me the worst headache, i went to the er cuz of how dizzy and nauseous i got. biggest regret in my life, and it wasnt even a blind buy, i thought i would like it more later. i hate this.

I absolutely love this fragrance, I may left a review below but what came to attention and wonder if anyone can confirm is, I can see people compare this to Oud maracuja. I haven't smelt that but I own ignite Oud by Ahmed Al maghribi one my other favourites and I have smelt Assure aoud by french avenue I believe (same perfume house as liquid brunt blue bottle) but I couldn't stand that Azure Oud, didn't resemble any of the ones I mentioned that I own and like. My question is, I've heard there's another under dog but huge player cheapie by fragrance world called Oud Madness, will I like that? I've seen people say that's close to azzure Oud. Or is it redundant because it'll just smell like a cheap synthetic knock off version of akoya and ignite Oud, I'm not trying to do that. Is there enough difference to have 3 of them on my shelf doing their thing. See I've got way too many angel share dupes and I thought there was enough of a difference to warrant it but now I'm not to sure, a coconut variation but lattafa kamarah, a apple version Nero blend french avenue, a boozy cognac sweet version kismet, sheriff blend by Riiffs was a coffee take, and I think there another one I have but can't remember what it is. I feel as if there is enough difference or thought that, but the entire winters gone past and I didn't reach for any of them (fair enough elhumdulliah my collection is fairly large but still). I think this ignite Oud and akoya style is my favourite type of scent. Ignite Oud and akoya to me doesn't smell anything alike which is the crazy thing

If you look at these notes and think this will be a nice sweet, easy going type of fragrance then think again. This has oud in it so, beware. It’s bares the slightest similarity to Oud Maracujá in the opening but that quickly fades the more it dries down. I can’t say I smell much of the individual notes besides the oud and some patchouli but it does have a sweetness behind it too. I feel like it’s more suited for females but a man can easily wear it. It’s more of an earthy almost burnt wood smell. I’ll wear this out and see what other people think but Calabria and Imperial Valley are much more easy going & appealing. It’s growing on me. This has crazy performance! Especially on clothes.

I love the bottle but it does not match the scent vibe at all. Paper test only because I don’t dare put this on. I love the bitter opening, I thought there is saffron in it. I get an extremely strong petrol smell that I just adore, it lasts for hours, but it’s ruined by the sweet raspberry in the background which also lasts for hours. Does not seem to change much 6 hours later. This is nuclear, one spray on a piece of paper and the whole floor in the house smells of this, even hours later. I would love it if it wasn’t for the raspberry. I am considering using up the sample I have as a home scent sprayed on paper once in a while.

A candy like fragrance that starts off with strong raspberry sorbet scent. You only get the middle notes after a long time. Very powerful sillage, fills up the room with just one spray. I had expected to be oudy/woody based on it's comparison to Oud Maracuja, but personally I found it very feminine with that sweet and candy like scent. Would not recommend blind buying.
