Désobéissant

I tried for a long time to find a sample of this but there were none to be found even on eBay. This was also completely sold out on the Givenchy website and is again sold out. I was able to blind buy a 100ml bottle from Givenchy for the full retail price but at least it included 3 samples of various Gentlemen Society fragrances. Woo Hoo! Luckily it turns out I really love this fragrance. While in the same citrus green fresh fragrance category as others it is unique enough to stand out and not be completely redundant. It performs better than PDM Sedley at a similar price point and while it’s an EDP is less expensive than the Eau de Cologne Guerlain Herbes Troublantes, which I also have and love. On my skin this projects and performs better than I thought based on some complaints from others. I will definitely be wearing this a lot. This is a fairly linear but really nice high quality fragrance that is extremely wearable and versatile enough given its segment. It’s expensive but in my opinion worth it. If you can find a sample it’s worth giving it a try. If you can’t wait like I couldn’t, and if the scent profile is up your alley, then it’s worth taking a shot at a blind buy.

I genuinely love Désobéissant. It’s one of those fragrances that feels easy to wear, yet always makes me feel polished and confident. From the first spray, the cedrat comes through fresh and clean, but not sharp. It smells bright, smooth, and quietly luxurious. As it settles, the cardamom and black tea really stand out for me. This part feels warm, calm, and slightly spicy—very comforting, but still interesting. It has a classy, thoughtful vibe that never feels too much. The dry-down is where I’m completely sold. The pine and cedarwood are soft, woody, and elegant. On my skin, the longevity is better than average, and the sillage is just right—people notice it, but it never feels overpowering. What I love most is how natural it feels. It doesn’t try to impress; it just works. Désobéissant has become one of those fragrances I truly enjoy wearing again and again. Clean, refined, and incredibly satisfying. Highly Recommended 10/10

Love this. Just got this in the mail - paid a premium - sprayed it on immediately, the suspense was killing me haha. Subtle and smooth not sharp lemon-ish woody green, grounded by the tea and extremely light spice from the cardamom in the background. Blended very very well. Imagine PDM Greenly with a touch of tea. Same realm. Do I think it's a redundant buy if you have PDM Greenley? Honestly, yes. But I'm a slut for tea fragrances so this is a nice addition to my never ending collection. I can't comment on longevity, but so far with 4 sprays it's radiating an arms length, scent bubble is nice and inviting, scent trail is most definitely there. Price on this is subjective, it is expensive. But hey, we're here for the smells not for the price they sell. Kind of lol.

Beautiful, woody aromatic done right. Désobéissant opens with a bright cedrat and citron sparkle that snaps into a cool cardamom heart. Honestly, that cardamom is the linchpin; without it, the whole thing would lose its charm. A wisp of black tea adds a smoked transparency, and the Scots pine and cedar base brings that elegant coniferous polish. It nods to the refined 90s woods I love, think the clean lines of Aigner Pour Homme and, to a lesser extent, Chanel Allure Homme, without feeling retro. Holiday clean, fresh, and quietly mesmerizing. It is an underrated, sneaky attention grabber rather than a shouter, and I am glad it is in my collection. Anyone who enjoys crisp, modern woods will feel right at home here.

This perfume is awesome, you can totally pick up on the common thread in these compositions, which is this dirty leather vibe. It’s not super strong, but it’s layered with citrus, making it the standout note in Indompte. You can also spot it in Garçon Manqué, and it’s there in L’Enfant Terrible too. Then you’ve got this mix of yuzu, cardamom, and pine needles right at the start, giving it a bright, fresh, almost chilly feel. It’s a casual scent, but it’s got this captivating, seductive edge, perfect for spring and summer!
