Enflammé

firstly, these are the ACTUAL notes of the fragrance: (also mentioned by @shravanbendapudi) top - labdanum, coffee mid - tobacco, patchouli base - vanilla, tolu balsam Absolutely wonderful scent ! Opens up with a loooot of labdanum (which smells like amber) and coffee for this warm spicy, woody and boozy type of DNA. As it dries down, you get the tobacco which I think is the star of the show. Sweet spicy with lots of character and uniqueness. The patchouli note is very strong, which mixes very well with the tolu balsam and vanilla in the drydown. Smells similar to mfk grand soir, but it has this kind of wet ambery smell with tobacco and patchouli (if that makes sense). So therefore, in my opinion, it adds a lot more depth and complexity to the scent. And yes, in case you were wondering, I do think this smells waaaaay better than mfk grand soir. This has pretty good performance in my case. Longevity is well above average, lasting 8-10 hours. Im not very sure about the sillage nor the projection so ill have to get back to these after I give the fragrance more wears. Also, I consider it to be quite versatile for what it is. Works well during daytime and nightime and could definetly be worn on a date. Elegant scent. I found Enflamme by Givenchy for only 160 euros in a duty free shop in my city, which I think was a bargain considering that this fragrance costs 320 dollars (~300 euros) on Givenchys official site. There also were 2 more fragrances there, Oiseau Rare and Idompte (although I am not sure) All in all, for me this fragrance is easily a 10/10. I have not had anyone who has smelled this tell me they dont like it, but I still dont think its a good blind buy for people who dislike patchouli. Also, before buying it, try checking a few different shops, as they might have it at a cheaper price. (might update after I wear it a bit more) w UPDATE: ive had enough time to give this perfume more wear. Its a gourmand fragrance, kind of like amore caffe by mancera or by the fireplace, but darker and with loads of patchouli and coffee, which complement eachother surprisingly well. Ive smelled many gourmand fragrances (swy intensly, khamrah etc.) and this one manages to be the best one whilst also standing out from the rest. Also, its quite linear. The scent doesnt change much over the course of time. Longevity is the same as before (8-10 hours). Projection is slightly above average. Not weak, yet not too strong or overpowering either. All in all this is similar to amore caffe, but darker with similar longevity but worse projection. I recommend picking this up. DONT BLINDBUY!!!!

I don’t know how this fragrance isn’t popular , its literally the best thing I've ever smelled Am not exaggerating but this is just gorgeous its one of the few high end fragrances that deserves the price The notes looks simple but its about the blend and how high quality the oils used in this most of them are absolutes Note that not every note is listed on fragrantica idk why ,it has an amber accord and labdanum which is absolutely gorgeous along side that vanilla and subtle tobacco while the coffee note is just chilling in the background of all of this giving it a slight feeling of gourmandiness ( it is not a gourmand fragrance by anymeans but just a touch) , just wow and for some reason it gives a cinnamon-ish vibe ( it is not a note but more like its a same vibe accord-ish typpa thing idk how to explain it ) And the best thing in this fragrance is the performance man this is just crazy istg i sprayed it on a coat and i can still smell it after 100+ hours am not even exaggerating The best part is that its not an offensive smell rather its a really relaxing sweet but refined smell The performance is really crazy to the point where i used it one day , slept , woke up then at night the next day i used another perfume and after that perfume faded i could still smell enflamme clearly not low key This is worth every cent u pay for , yes its expensive but it is the closest u can get to being worth it

Bold, powerful, daring. I do get the comparisons with black phantom, they're very different but they somehow share similarities. This is very unique though, with only three notes you'd think this smells like anything that has vanilla and tobacco, well, not at all. There's a background that I struggle to describe which is a bit fruity and sweet. On my skin the coffee disapears rather quickly, at least the "punchy" coffee aspect of the scent which hits the hardest in the first few minutes imo and is one of the similarities it has with black phantom. Then coffee blends with the rest and goes to the background, it's still noticeable. It strikes a great balance between classy and gourmand. It smells very niche and extremely expensive. It's super well blended, masterfully crafted. The dry down is an ambery fragrance, a resinous tobacco, sweet vanilla and a hint of coffee. There's a sweet and kind of agressive note that calms down after two hours. Unisex leaning masculine to me, a woman could definitely rock this but it'd fit men more imo. It is not a perfume meant to scream at others, it creates a good potent bubble arround you. Do not overspray as its sweet facets could be nauseating for people. Performance is very good. Lasts an eternity and projects very nicely.

So right of the bat, I love this scent. I'll get to why, but some housekeeping first. Per Givenchy's website, the note breakdown in essence is as follows: Top: Labdanum, Coffee Heart: Tobacco, Patchouli Base: Vanilla, Tolu Balsam Now here's why I love it - its refined simplicity. Ever hear an Unplugged concert done well? It somehow strips out everything from a band's music to just keep the core, the essence, the soul. In this case, this perfume does it for the Vanilla Tobacco combination. Zaharoff Signature Tabac is the full blown version of the music - spicy, oudy, even some floral - adding drama, weight and character to the combination. Enflamme is the Unplugged version, where a simple Tobacco and a simple Vanilla play hero nestled by patchouli and resins. I've noticed that creating complex perfumes is maybe easier but certainly more common in the realm of the cold weather scents. Like Clapton when he constructed his rock epics. But that makes me appreciate that I have his Unplugged for when I just want something for a quiet evening in, cognac in hand and music that is simple yet refined. See what I mean? :) 9/10
