Irrésistible Nectar Eau de Parfum

Good advertising is genuinely evil because after being assaulted for weeks by pistachios, pâtisserie fluff, sugared little dessert fantasies etc etc, I had to smell this. And oh my god. Sometimes the propaganda wins because the thing is actually good. The original always felt flat and generic to me, while Very Floral's mouthwatering opening was super quenching but dying into a pastel haze almost overly soft and blurred. But Nectar has this girly, delectable, dressed-up quality that is simply immaculate. There is something sweet and chilled about it. A gelato effect, almost. Imagine pistachio ice cream heaped in a silver tub, imagine the temperature of it: cool, glossy, creamy, fresh from the chiller. Almost iridescent in effect, actually. The opening has this lovely sparkle, not acidic nor shrill, evoking fresh neroli petals with a white-gold glint to them. Then comes the Turkish rose, aerated and lifting. It diffuses. This gives the composition a pink, petalled translucence that makes the pistachio and meringue much more elegant. The rose does not vanish as the fragrance develops either and simply softens, still keeping that fresh outline but melting more fully into the edible base. And the pistachio: It arrives in the drydown with the meringue in a way that feels more textural than literal. It brings pale green nuttiness, softly sugared, almost whipped but not thick. Like a crema pasticcera al pistacchio, chilled and whipped. The sweetness has a confectionary charm, but the smooth woody scaffold gives the dessert a more polished spine. Everything works seamlessly, hand in hand, never cheap nor tacky. I really love that it manages to feel sugary without becoming too food-forward. It is not trying to smell the most realistic plated dessert. There is charm in that but also oversaturation. This is rather a fresh airy gourmand, which is rather difficult to pull off while maintaining real delicacy and sophistication. The neroli and rose create this petal-chilled halo around the softer gourmand centre, and the woods keep it from being one-dimensional. It shimmers. Truly. The bottle is not lying. There is something prismatic about it, especially in warm weather. It hovers above skin in a way that feels cool-toned and glossy rather than sticky. To me it smells like high tea in an absurdly beautiful spring garden where everything is in bloom and someone has quietly brought out the most delicate pistachio dessert from a hidden fridge. The silverware is cold. The flowers are bright. The pastries are pretty enough to make you hesitate before eating. Everything catches light in stunning opalescence. You are having a lovely time and do not care who knows it. That is the mood. I am usually suspicious of mass-appealing fragrances because so many of them flatten themselves into sweetness, cleanliness, and generics. But this one really is, really, irresistible (yes!). Skip anything just pleasant, this has pleasure in it. Real pleasure. And I could bask in the chilled rosy-gourmand glow of it forever. It was the only thing I sprayed on myself from Sephora for an entire month and that is never innocent. That is purchase behaviour. I'm obsessed.

When i first sprayed this on, I was a bit put off by the 'green' sort of notes, something a little bitter on my skin. But the dry down? My goodness, what a beautifully creamy scent, nothing really like what I have. Very addictive! If you aren't into roses or sweet scents id steer clear, i think this is safe for work in moderation, definitely will be a beautiful spring scent but may become a little cloying in the summer. Recommend testing this in store, and give it a minute before completely writing it off!

Very distinguishable from the other flankers, sweeter and nuttier than the EDP/Very Floral, and much less powdery than the Velvets due to the absence of Iris. Most youthful number in the line. The synthetic opening put me off at first but I loved the creamy vanilla accords. The rose notes brought light and air to the composition, lifting it to the realm of ethereality. Absolutely delicious, like a delicate petit four at a garden tea party. Much love from me, tethering on the border of addiction.

Love this! I'd describe it as a floral gourmond. On my skin, I get mostly an airy rose at first, then as it dries down the rose takes a back seat to the gourmond notes, especially a creamy pistachio that reminds me of Kheir Beirut Baklava, but lighter and not as honey sweet. I think it's a perfect scent for gourmond lovers (like myself) that want something lighter and fresher for spring and don't mind some florals mixed in.

I'm obsessed with this scent. It's very feminine, with a nice balance of sweet florals, gourmand notes, and woody notes. It opens with neroli and rose, but as it sits on skin, I catch more of the pistachio and vanilla. The woody notes ground the sweetness of it, which I find absolutely delicious. I only have a small sample of this perfume, but I'm pretty sure I will be buying a bigger one in the future!

I am absolutely OBSESSED! This has all the potential to become one of my signature scents. It's the most intoxicating, juicy nectar in a bottle and the name couldn't be more fitting. Every time I wear it, I can't stop sniffing myself. The longevity and sillage are impressive, too. This is such a beautiful, addictive creation. I genuinely can't get enough of it. Love, love, LOVEEEEE!

This is such a comforting and delicious scent. It's not cheap or easily available. Yes, there are many sweet florals, but they are not balanced, as this one is. It's perfect and very well made. I enjoy it so much I got the biggest bottle available and even got it engraved. Givenchy does a great job, overall.

If the word "pretty" had a smell, it would be this fragrance. It embodies femininity perfectly with roses which aren't too old-fashioned and just the right amount of sweetness. In my opinion, you could wear this on any ocassion! I got this as a sample off Sephora and now I need a full bottle 🌹❤️

I absolutely fell in love with to this one. I been looking for the perfect rose but not a rosy scent and this is it. It’s blended so well. A creamy feminine slightly woody floral scent. This will be my everyday office scent.

This is absolutely beautiful and perfect for spring! Some might say the scent is a bit basic, but that`s what makes it so mass appealing. I kid you not I get compliments every time I wear it. Also the bottle is irresistible

I must update my review. I tested it again and finally the cream and beautifull pistachio revealed. Its so soft and sweet. Very lovley.

This is neroli with salted pistachio. No sweetnes. I can't smell the cream or vanilla.

It opens creamy, whipped creamy with nutty nuance and at the same time very pink and rosy and slightly woody on me. It is very gentle and delicate. Nowhere near My Way or Devotion strength. The cedar, pencil notes are still too prominent which is a minus of all the Irresistibles I tried. But the whipped, pistacchio cream is on the front, followed by gentles rose petals scent. Should be perfect for hot weather. So far I am quite enamored by it. It is so pink, cute and fluffy. 3,5hours have passed and during a super windy walk it was around me in wafts despite its sheerness. 5,5 hours and it no longer projects on my cold skin and stays close to me, but vivid and multifaceted. At 8 hour mark it is a very faint skin scent and needs reapplying for the night or allows scent change, which is a plus sometimes. The gentle rosiness is present but it feels very gourmand on me. Gourmand light.

Oh that's so pretty and sweet! 🩷💚🩷 Definitely a not overdone boring rose! 🌹 On my skin: Cream, pistachio and vanilla come through and I'm here for it! It's both that AND refreshing without it being a freshie. 0 neroli on my skin. It smells new, elegant, smooth-soft romantic. I like it a lot!!! Not a gourmand or soapy. It doesn't remind me of anything, which is a huge plus for me. I can see wearing it in daytime and mark a period of my life making memories with that. It's simple and beautiful. A unicorn 🦄 My mom gave it a 7/10 😭 she doesn't like it. she said it smells like the 🌽 corn whiskers. My dad didn't like it at all either... He gave it a 6/10 😅.

I bought this last night. The G Rep at the counter slightly flinched when I said it smells like I tossed a bar of Dove into a bowl of Trix. What? I bought it, didn't I?? Lol It's great! I just wish it had more lasting power. $170 is a lot for me with little siliage or stay...did I spell siliage right?? Idek All I know is I had Poison Girl and ppl say it's similar but I don't see it. This really doesn't smell like anything else I have tried. But it's pretty, delish, rosy, lactonic, and has a bit of mystery to it. Classy, but can be daily worn, almost edible but for the floral, and (IMO) very unique.

Pistachio is hit or miss for me, but this is a hit! It's sweet without being heavy or 'food-forward', a fresh airy gourmand. The rose and cream blend so well in this, the pistachio adds just enough depth and nuttiness (thankfully doesn'tgive that play-dough vibe that pistachio can have). It's a crowd pleasing fragrance that would work for daily use. Nothing crazy unique,but it's balanced and blended to perfection. Longevity: 4-6 hours on skin, 8+ on clothes

This fragrance is almost DEVOTION INTENSE in the dry down i swear, a little less sweet, but the same one!! The opening is quite different though from the latter, a nutty rose (a little herbal-green). After the first blast, rose dials back and it’s a nutty-citrus phase, followed by a nutty orange blossom with vanilla. Rose is barely perceptible during the dry down. I like it, easier to wear in summer compared to devotion lmao

I’m not a big fan of the original, but I do enjoy the Nectar version. However, if you haven’t explored neroli before, this might not be the one for you. It’s sweet. cute and fun but not nutty for me. I agree with LuvOxLixir this smells glossy to me and refreshing in the heat. I welcome the whiffs I get throughout the day - they smell like whip cream and pear. Yes, pear is not in the mix but this is how it smells to my nose.

Rose on first spray, then it dries down and you start to smell the pistachio and merengue. The rose does not disappear as it wears down but becomes less sharp. The woodiness is sweet in this btu definitely comes through as it dries. This is very pretty. This won't be for everyday wear, but I am glad to have bought it.

This is nice bit of a designer dna seeping in but over all a vanilla scent with woody and rose nuances. I get the creamy vibe and a hint of pistachio but they could have ampted this up a lot more they played it safe. Over all it’s a safe blind buy for a vanilla lover in the designer category.

Smells almost identical to the original. Only a tad bit warmer and sweeter. I like this a bit more than the original, but since I still have that one, I think won't buy a full bottle

I really like this. It’s a creamier, dreamier version of the original. I always liked this DNA but found it to be missing something. This flanker, to me, completes that picture.

Wearable light gourmand scent. Starts floral and the dry down is more like white chocolate/ creamy pistachios.

It’s the pistachio in it + neroli that makes me so intrigued

A rose-and-pistachio nectar that initially strongly evokes Middle Eastern pastries. However, unlike some other reviews, I find that the pistachio disappears very quickly, giving way to the rose, and the fragrance simply dries down into a sugary rose. I love this rose/pistachio combination, but I regret the excessively high level of sweetness in this perfume; with a bit more subtlety and elegance, it could have been charming, but here I find it very "in-your-face", which is a real shame. As it stands, it's not bad, but far too sweet for me; I'm not enough of a gourmand lover to fully appreciate it.

While I am absolutely obsessed with Givenchy’s L’Interdit line, Irresistible collection has never been a favourite of mine. The newest flanker Irrésistible Nectar Eau de Parfum is not changing favourably my opinion regarding this line. On me it’s super rosy, sweet and woody but not in a way that I like. The vanilla is nonexistent in the blend, and personally, I couldn’t find any redeeming qualities to make me want give Irrésistible Nectar Eau de Parfum a second try. It’s ok, it’s nice, but it’s not my jam. I will stick to the tuberose from Givenchy, their interpretation of rose is not for me.

irresistible is one of my top perfumes and i always look forward to it's flanker launches but this... this is so similar. not to the og irresistible but to other perfumes. i cant seem to like the new fragrance launches these days. maybe it's my nose idk... it all feels and smells the same. nothing new and interesting to see imo. is it bad? definitely not. but it's also not exciting to me. smelled this today and felt disappointed immediately. how sad...

Sharp opening of neroli and rose. Almost like a green rose or crushed rose petals. Within a couple of minutes the fragrance becomes creamier and softer and the pistachio starts to show. After 10 minutes you are left with a sharp neroli resting on soft pistachio and green rose. Not a safe buy for those that dislike rose perfumes or green aromas.

I am a huge fan of Irresistible EDP, it is one of my all times faves and this one has the same DNA as the original, but this is sweeter and gourmand which makes it a bit cloying and I personally don't enjoy that much... I am not saying it's bad, but I personally prefer that slighly sweet, musky notes of the original 🤷🏻♀️

It kind of reminds me of Dior Poison Girl, it's the combo of neroli and rose plus the sweet nuttiness from the pistachio cream and vanilla. Something about this fragrance makes me feel kind of queasy, same with Poison Girl. But if you like that scent profile then perhaps you'd enjoy this.

I was ready to purchase a bottle upon first sniff it is so dreamy not too sweet and smell so realistic dessert but the dry down stopped my from buying a full bottle since it basically smells like the OG EDP... kinda screechy and headache inducing :( also smells quite cheap to me

On my skin, the woody notes are very strong and I honestly do not smell any of the other notes. Its smells very men's aftershave-adjacent on me. It later mellows down quite a bit but by then I cannot smell anything at all. Its longevity is poor, at least on me.

This fragrance is much heavier on the pistachio than I thought it would be. I guess I thought this would be fruity, my mistake I didn’t look at the notes. It smells like a sweet tree covered in nut butter lol. I’m not the biggest fan.

A scent that everyone can accept but doesn’t have that niche quality I was looking for. I don’t mind it but won’t buy it.

Very flowery, but too sweet in warmer temperatures (up 22°C for me). It's sweet and pleasant in colder days.

i agree with Moumita&Florals. it smelled very leafy to me but it wasn’t terrible, just confusing.

It’s not bad, but not great either. Pleasant but forgettable scent.

Blind-sampled at the store and at first it was a light, fruit-adjacent scent, but the rose notes stole the show in all the wrong ways. To me it smells like the cheap rose hand soap found in public restrooms, and my partner asked why I smelled like their grandmother when I got home. Five hours and three scrubs later I still can’t get it off my skin, although there’s finally a hint of pistachio and vanilla presenting itself. Tldr: Durable, long-lasting, but smells like cheap florals.

It is such a shame that this has nothing to do with the original edp version. The edp is one of my favs of all time. This smells like rotten salty pistachios poured down with some disgusting smelly liquid. Not a gourmand fragrance at all, neither is like the OG irresistible. Sorry babes.

I agree with swimhim... it's ok but not very original. Seems like it's been done a million times. If you're into gourmands pistachio creamy sugary smells... go for it. I'll give a good pass on this one myself.

Honestly don’t like it. On my skin it’s very heavy on neroli with hints of pistachio. I don’t like neroli so much to begin with and combined with the woody notes it’s not doing my nose any favors

The neroli in this one smelt like a cheap bar detergent people use to handwash their clothes in 80s and 90s.

Thank god, David Jones in the Elizabeth St Sydney store finally had the tester of this fragrance yesterday. I tried it. The Givenchy attendant was lovely. I thought Nectar would be sweeter; I did not smell the neroli throughout the journey. I mostly smelled roses and a slight sweetness, along with a bitter smell. It is a seesaw perfume and keeps interest. It lasts 4-6 hrs on the skin. On clothes, it lasts 8 hours or more. The perfume is strong at first (half a arms length) for a few minutes, then after 30 mins it's a skin scent. It lingers lovely on clothes. The sweetness finally clears the bitterness, mainly at the end of the perfume journey. I wish this happened sooner. I love the light-reflection bottle. It is not my favourite perfume in my Irresistible line. I like the Irresistible nude and original Givenchy much better - they are smoother, sweeter and more lush. Nectar smells like a weaker and bitter version of the original Dior Poison Girl. As a suggestion: I firstly put this Givenchy perfume on and then secondly put my sweet linear poison dior girl over it, which improved it dramatically. The perfume lasted longer, and the rose and sweetness were rich with this sensational dual combination. It is worth a try if you have Dior Poison Girl in your collection. I will try to pair with the YSL Green Opium to see what happens. This perfume reminds me more of the Irresistible Velvet Rose DNA due to the sweetness and bitterness. As mentioned by others, I do not get any creamy or too much neroli, just the bitter notes and rose blend. I would use this perfume as a base, and place your other sweeter Givenchy Irresistible perfume lines over it. I feel this perfume is not well-rounded, smooth, but screechy, or non-remarkable. The main rose bitterness does not represent all the Fragrantica notes accurately on my skin or clothes. I feel this perfume is an incomplete fragrance - more suitable as a perfume primer. So if you have a sickly sweet perfume, and you want it to even it out, I would use this perfume as a base. You need to try this perfume, definitely. I have worn this perfume for a few days. If you expect a strong, rich, rose floral, very sweet, and creamy perfume, you may be disappointed. That is what I expected. It was the opposite. But I am glad I purchased it as a perfume primer. You can create an interesting twist to your current perfumes to individualise your scents. I hope my suggestion helps others.

Smells like a typical pretty and kind of girly but sexy woman, feminine, pink, gourmandish, very sweet but a bit fresh (at least in the beginning) perfume. That vibe 100%. That typically feminine pink profile with tuns of sweetness. In the same category as Donna Born in Roma, that same feel although different as a scent. But the same woman would love both scents because it's her vibe. It smells good yes but also generic because of that obvious assosiation to that stereotypical pretty girl/ young woman who has that Victoria's Secret type of idealistic but generic and tiresome asthetic as her inspo. This is THAT smell. I'm tired but I know many of you love this stuff and there is nothing wrong about it. It is a good smell, not a bad smell... just... generic and well.. boring, forgettable imo. Nothing new and interesting or special that would make you go Wait what is that? That smell? It's the same old in a new package with few new teeny adjustments to make it appealing as a "new" thing. As for the scent: The rose is not prominent at all, for those who don't like rose. It peaks it's head in the beginning say first 30mins-1h as dewy rose petals on a bed of something fluffy and sweet, i would say mostly cotton candy and vanilla and pistaccio only as something making it more interesting and less candy sweet, as a balancing note adding to the creaminess, not really detectable unless u look for it. The pistacchio is like pistacchio ice cream not like marzipan (such as in Kayali's pistacchio gelato perfume). I didn't detect neroli... I don't like that note so I am also sensitive to detecting it. It probably contributed to the freshness and dewyness of the opening. Drydown is pink cotton candy and vanilla, very sweet. In this particular genre this is best offering alongside mentioned Donna Born in Roma. Especially the first 1h is very lovely.

I’m starting to suspect I have a soft spot for anything with “nectar” in the name. There’s a promise in that word like density, warmth, something indulgent. The holographic sheen on the bottle even echoes Idôle Nectar, which I adore (the popcorn note still lives rent-free in my mind). When it comes to Irresistible Givenchy Eau de Parfum Nectar, it wins over the original Irresistible Givenchy Eau de Parfum for me. The OG is pleasant, very pear-forward, fruity-sweet, easy going but rather generic. Nectar shifts the focus a bit, the pear is not there and the sweetness is different although more concentrated. It’s very rosy, not airy rose, but thicker syrupy rose, wrapped in a creamy blanket with a soft pistachio nuance underneath. Givenchy clearly goes after the gourmand lovers here, yet it doesn’t feel overly juvenile, and there’s structure. Also, if you go for a vanilla experience, this is not really it. Still, it crosses my personal sweetness threshold. I don’t see myself committing to a full bottle, but I’d happily own a decant. It’s pleasant, well-composed, and more interesting than the original, just not me.

I was impressed by the notes listed & the ad so Once I heard it was finnaly out, I Thought I must give it a try, grabbed the tester bottle & found myself spontaneously spraying it on my wrist ( normally I go for a tester card first but this is how excited I was!) The initial spray has a bitter harsh green notes to it which I found very annoying. So I immediately just put the tester bottle down & left the store feeling disappointed. A few minutes passed by and apparently that harsh green notes flew away & suddenly I felt I can smell a bakery dessert with rose petals / rose sherbet in it I smelled by wrist & it turned out that was the perfume I sprayed earlier. It also has a cold feeling to it like its a cold dessert marzipan that is kept inside those open fridge inside a desert/cake store. There is a huge resemblance to Lancome La Vie est belle Rose Absolute btw Both have a sweet rosey🌹 cold dessert vibes, despite not having identical notes Lancome LVEB doesn't have that initial harsh green notes & seems to last longer. Try both

Kind of disappointing for me. What this reminds me of the most is the smell of the perfumes on display at Marshalls or TJMaxx. It has this generic, sweet, boring DNA that smells plasticky (I think most vanillas in general smell this way to me- I think I'm just a vanilla hater ):). I'm mostly just getting a department store vanilla- and if I really use my imagination, it kind of smells like a warm, sweet rose jam. I thought I would like this the most out of the flankers because the note tree looks so appealing (and the bottle is gorgeous). I wish I could say I am a vanilla and gourmand lover, but the ones I've tried so far always fall flat to me. For some reason I get very bored of gourmands after only wearing them a couple times. I love the OG though <3 Update: Just made a connection- it smells like Burberry Goddess in the drydown. It's when Burberry Goddess loses that wonderful lavender top note and turns into a boring vanilla for me.
