L'Interdit Tubéreuse Noire

A true flanker of L’Interdit line! One of those perfumes releases that I can’t notice much difference between the OG version and this particular flanker, meaning too much similarities to justify this release.... Saying all that, I am not testing L’Interdit Tuberose Noir side by side with L’Interdit EDP or EDT to say it’s 100% redundant, but it kinda is... If you are a collector like me, it might worth, otherwise buy whichever you can get cheaper. I am a fan of tuberose and L’Interdit line and I found this 2024 flanker for 40% off on Sephora. I wanted it more for my Givenchy collection, than anything else. Side note, there’s no coffee in L’Interdit Tuberose Noire. It sounded really tempting to me when I have checked the notes, but personally all I get from this is tuberose, earthy patchouli and some faint hints of wood after a few hours of wear. Exactly what the rest of the line already has in all the previous releases....A hint less sweet and bubblegumy than EDP/EDT and less spicy than the Rouge flankers. It’s nice, but it’s basically the same juice, in a slightly different, limited edition bottle. If you like any of L’Interdit, you will love Tuberose Noire. Safe blind buy in this scenario! Otherwise, don’t feel like you are missing out on anything, you’re not...

Wow this is gorgeous! Finally it hit the shelves in Spain and I had the opportunity to test it out. This might be my favorite! I would say that it’s close to the EDP but it has a strong patchouli base and that fruity sweetness of the EDP is toned down. This smells fresh in the beginning and than dries down to a floral patchouli. I have never smelled patchouli done this way. It’s recognizable but done in such a rich and luxurious way. To me the coffee note doesn’t come through as coffee. There is definitely a smokey touch to this and a slight nuttiness that reminds me a little bit of the L’Interdit Intense. Doesn’t remind me of the Rouge and Rouge Ultime at all, much less sweet and fresher. I would love to get a bottle whenever this hits the discounters!

L'Interdit Tubéreuse Noire smells like the original. The only difference is, this smells a bit smoky while the original smells clean, a bit musky. The patchouli is not prominent, so two thumbs up because I don't like patchouli. I just wish it'd perform better in terms of projection and longevity. It's weaker than the original. On my skin, someone next to me can smell it and it's only for solid 30 minutes before it turns into skin scent. Overall, it lasted for just an hour and if I douse myself with it, I could get up to two hours. Projection: 5/10 Longevity: 3/10 Rating: 10/10

I’m so happy I had a chance to try this beauty at work before the launch day in my country and I can’t wait to be able to buy it😻 No, it really has not a thing in common with GG, this it thick and radiant spicy tuberose (almost) soliflor and maybe one of the most beautiful white flowers scent I’ve smelled for pretty long time. It’s carnal, lush and heady smell of decadent boudoir, less sweet than rest of L’Interdits, with great longevity and sillage.

Just released in the uk of course i now own this beauty 😍 I sampled this in venice, Italy, sephora, i have every linterdit flanker and yet i still fell in love it was a beautiful sunny day when I sampled this and that is how I imagine wearing it, in spring/summer cute outfit, it makes me happy and feel feminine. Givenchy never dissappoints me.

Has anyone purchased this in a bigger size? All I could find is a 1.7 oz. Could you let me know if you have it and where did you buy it? Thanks!

What a surprise ! For me who's not particularly a fan of the "Interdit" collection and who doesn't like coffee! I tested it backwards, a pout on my face before I even sprayed the first spray. And finally, I am positively surprised! At first spray, no coffee smell. A smell of tuberose that I immediately found vanillic (yet no vanilla in the pyramid) and especially smoky. Something warm, intense, dark and alluring. Very, very beautiful. Then came an unpleasant sweet side which fortunately faded quickly enough to give way to a nice woody scent. And, finally, that smell of coffee came to envelop everything. My nose finds the orange blossom very subtle, quite removed from this composition, but nevertheless present. For once (for a perfume that contains coffee), everything mixes well enough for me to like the whole thing. What I liked the most was the first spray with this kind of smoky and dark tuberose. But, even after, the perfume remains really pleasant, which surprises me - once again - because we are here so far from the perfumes that usually attract and please me. In summary, L'interdit Tubereuse Noire is a floral/woody fragrance with a lovely coffee note, which I found very sensual, attractive and pleasant. It becomes my favorite Interdit, most probably thanks to its woody and smoky side. However, remains a little doubt about this “sweet moment”; could it become heavy in the long term? It remains to be seen.

Happily successful, and heavily discounted blind buy. My first L'Interdit and first tuberose forward perfume. I've largely avoided tuberose until now - always finding it stuffy. This tuberose is great though. I'm not sure if this is just Givenchy tuberose magic or I have a tragic history of smelling crappy tuberose elsewhere. I do get a little bit of the bubblegum that's been described but not it's not overwhelming. It's the perfect 'sweet floral' perfume for me. In that it's not overly sweet and not obviously floral, but still feels very feminine. It's perfect daytime vibe I want to project at the moment - it feels age appropriate (not mature and not juvenile), elegant, sophisticated and also unique. I don't get the generic perfumery vibes I always got when smelling the original in this line. I also recently fell in love with the new 'Le Perfume' flanker (which I think it's heavier and more special than this), and while I can appreciate the similar DNA I think they're different enough to justify having both. This is a lighter, office friendly option with low projection. I also get zero coffee from this and the pachouli is really soft and not super green.

This fragrance is a true embodiment of a white, creamy floral in every sense. It presents a slightly less powerful experience compared to the bold character of L'Interdit Intense, offering a softer, more approachable take on the classic L'Inte rdit DNA. The familiar blend of orange blossom and vanilla that defines the collection is ever-present, yet in "Tubéreuse Noire," these notes are rendered with a noticeable smoothness and subtlety. Unlike the sugary, grape-like accords developed in flankers such as L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge and other 'red' variations, this limited edition eludes sweetness overload. And I wouldn't describe it as a coffee scent. The original gave me terrible headaches even though I found it to be a beautiful fragrance, I could not use it. This present perfume is softer, warm, sexy, feminine, and mature. With Astrale Maison Crivelli I prefer Tubéreuse Noire. With Tubéreuse Trianon, Le Jardin Retrouve, I prefer this one, to Tubereuse Noire. My Way, Giorgio Armani is a day-to-day, airy Tuberose, easier to use. Carnal Flower Frederic Malle still being a masterpiece.

I had to try and wear it a couple of times to really sort out the different notes that come up, and also sprayed once again 6 hours later on top. Very pleasant first seconds, a real bouquet of tuberose, with nutty notes playing. After a couple of minutes the woody and coffee notes blend with the florals. However, there are times when the tuberose turns soapy (at least on skin) — but not too soapy as sweet/animalistic & peppery/woody notes are still there. I sometimes find it to be ALMOST a gourmand fragrance. The tuberose and orange blossoms together tend to be very sweet in fragrances, so here It is not « dark » enough to really be « tuberose noire ». When fully dried down on skin, It’s overall a gentle nutty patchouli, with a mature tuberose at final dry down on skin. It’s feminine and sexy in a grown way, not girly way. Classy, mysterious. ___ Projection, sillage, longevity : 7/10 Originality, presentation : 6,5/10 Quality, value : 7,5/10 7/10

You can never go wrong with L'Interdit if you are a tuberose lover. The classic fragrance is less sweet in this version and the coffee adds depth and makes it more grounded - but I wouldn't describe it as a coffee scent. Very, very pretty!!

Very similar to the original. I quite like the original and had hoped for a nice variation with the coffee note, but it is not detectable at all to my nose. Why bringing out all these flankers if the difference is miniscule?

It's a very sweet scent, I can only smell tuberose with some bubblegum. Smells a little less generic than the og but is still very simple. I really don't get Givenchy, it's either boring or kind of unpleasant (the overly peppery rouge flankers)

This is pleasant but sillage and longevity on me are very weak. I have other tuberose perfumes that I like far more and last well.

Well, definitely L'Interdit line and me we are not a good match.... So far, I do not like any of them. This one's no exception. Initially, the coffee note is very pleasant and interesting, but after 15 seconds, to my nose also this one smells soapy in a very outdated way, and plasticky.

L'Interdit Tubéreuse Noire by Givenchy is true to the Interdit DNA - one of my favorite tuberose-based lines in designer fragrances - and impresses with a remarkable scent profile on the mouillette, featuring a unique, vegetable-like dry coffee note and rich, opulent patchouli that harmonizes with the line’s inherent floral sweetness. However, upon wearing, the fragrance unfolds differently on my skin, revealing a slightly greasy note that detracts from the initial allure for me, making Intense a preferred choice.

I got this flanker today from a second-hand store, I bought it blind, and was very scared but curious at the same time because I love l'interdit but I've never bought the perfume even though I have around 150 perfumes in my collection. I saw comments that it was similar to OG, but a little smokier, and that got me interested because I have similar ones to l'interdit and I needed a reason to buy one of the range. Well, when I sprayed it on, the first few seconds were really the original l'interdit, but then there was an almost edible smoky smell. And recently I tried chocolate-covered smoked almonds, and that's exactly what I smelled. I have to confess that it scared me because I didn't like that sweetness. After a while, I started to feel more of a coffee note. It started out as a clean coffee, but it began to get dusty. I can still feel the tuberose in the background, but it's very subdued; what prevails is the dusty coffee. I didn't think it was bad, but I certainly need to get used to it. In the end, I don't think it's anything like the original, which is open, sweet and cheerful. This one is closed, smoky and sweet.

I recently got this off vinted, for it is discontinued. I will refrain from wearing this one until autumn starts (in the northern hemisphere anyways), for it is way to intens for the warm weather. I love this as a more unisex version of the way eau de parfum, for the coffee adds depth and intensity and intrigue. Not a gourmand coffee in any way, not like Black Opium. This one stays on decently and projects in a same, good, manner. I would definitely recommend. It’s harder to come by now, so you will be smelling unique. Great pick up for the colder weather.

i like them all, but this one more than others because it's quite soft and warm and less offensive and harsh unlike the original which gave me terrible headaches even though i find it to be a beautiful fragrance. there's only one problem and i'm not sure if it's just me and my receptors or is it actually a flaw of the fragrance. after a couple of minutes i can't smell it on me AT ALL. not even a trace of the scent. i'm completely sure that i bought an original and not some garage concoction so that's not the issue. it's really such a shame.

Your regular L'Interdit with a heavier dose of Tuberose and tiny dark coffee note. It is a little redundant if you have the OG but this one has a little bit of an edge that collectors might use to justify another bottle although most collectors don't feel like having to justify anything ... Nice and sexy but really not much difference compared to the OG, the coffee note adds a little interest.

Even though I don’t like regular L’Interdit EDP enough, I blindly bought this one because I was looking for a tuberose fragrance and name “tubereuse noir” intrigued me. And I don’t regret it. It really feels darker than L’Interdit EDP. If L’Interdit EDP is a White Swan , this is literally a Black Swan for sure

I agree with addictpiglet below. I need a 30ml bottle if there's going to be all these flankers. Because they are all similar enough not to replicate on my shelves. Beautiful, though!!!

I love it, but I wonder if a 30ml version will ever hit the market? If so I might give it a chance, but after decluttering two l’interdit flankers i’m not ready for a 50ml commitment.

Best out of all L'Interdit editions. Finally became available in USA, so i snagged a bottle right away. Super sexy, but that coffee is nowhere to be found!
