Organza Legere (Eau de Toilette)

I was able to grab this beauty at a sale for a daring price of 6 USD!!! And it’s 100ml! And very well preserved! The true uniqueness of this beautiful scent is absolutely captivating! The first spray brings out a deep amber and gardenia which ultimately dries down to a beautiful nutmeg and deep vanilla combination! I love this one so much! And I did my research and FRAGRANTICA should change the release date to 1997!

This is really lovely, a beautiful gardenia scent underlined with amber and vanilla, somehow rich and light at the same time. I think I actually prefer this to the EDP, which is also a favourite, but more of a cold-weather scent, more woody and vanilla-y to my nose. The EDT I can imagine wearing in spring, or on hot summer nights.

This is heaven in a bottle! Definitely the best scent I've smelled for 2016! The nutmeg is very prominent and together with the honeysuckle and gardenia makes an absolutely divine classic scent. Sillage is enormous, the sweetness is very well balanced. 10/10!

My mother gave me an untouched, still-boxed 50ml bottle of this labelled 'Eau de Toilette Legere' that was collecting dust in one of her vanity drawers for an unknown length of time. The bottle is very elegant and slender, with a frosted glass curved design on the front, and a gold scroll cap. I first tried it during a summer heatwave, but found it slightly overpowering and sickly in the heat. I thought I might give it away, and it got tucked away again for several months. Then I tried it again this past week, in a cold and rainy winter, and it's completely different. Now I like it: it's a very sophisticated perfume, and the vanilla, honeysuckle and amber blend together richly, with the latter two a bit more obviously detectable than the vanilla. The nutmeg is the real star, and is a dominant note throughout. The dry-down is nutty and deep and becomes quite sensual after a few hours. It's not sweet at all by contemporary standards, and therefore very different from popular fragrances currently on the market. I feel like it's just right for someone in their late 20s and 30s onwards, or someone younger who has a very well-developed sense of taste. I think I will wear this on chilly evenings, and/or when I want to feel serious and sophisticated and sensual all at once. Like another reviewer hinted, I'm not sure the description info above is correct. It says launched in 2011, but my one definitely looks vintage, so either the date is wrong, or there's an older version of Organza Legere EDT. The batch code on my bottle is from 2000. The colour is a deep and vivid amber, not the light peachy colour as pictured.

I have a 50 ml bottle of this (with frosted front) - Organza Eau De Toilette Legere. But the batch code is from 1997.

This is really beautiful. Starts off in a mellow way. the flowers just envelops you and transports you to a garden filled will jasmine in the bushes and moving further you look down into a clear pond catching a whiff of the lotus in full bloom and then there is the vanilla and a warm glow of amber....completely taken and love every layer of it ...and it does last a loooong time. Absolutely taken by the fragrance.

02. march 2012 Does it means that EDP version is soon to be discontinued??? Haven ́t seen it in stores yet, but willning to try since EDP is one of my TOP5 favorites! Are you sure there IS such a thing as "Organza" in EDT???? I haven ́t found it on Givenchy official site, neither in their online shop under new editions, neither under "Organza" section, nowhere in retail as well!!!

That's it, i'm having this remade. Man, this was SO good, oh my goodness. I'm sad that this was so unknown that they had to discontinue it, but at least it's unique. I'll go have it made and smell like no one else, well, not like anyone i know or anyone nearby. I recommend others do so as well, Etsy people are said to be really good at that.

La verdad es encantador!! La única vez que lo he comprado se lo di a mi mamá y ella olía tan delicioso. Es un olor muy bueno y delicioso, también lo he olido en la abuela de mi esposo y que rico huele la vieja jajaja.... Es muy delicioso, pero no es para mi, soy única y me gusta oler a cosas que nadie más huela o huelan pocas personas.

Organza is a true classic. I used to wear it for daytime, but it suits for evening too. Suits its' name. Very Arabian Nights! Many compliments when wearing this scent. None of the notes attack the senses, it just evolves slowly. A must if you like delicate flowers with a hint of vanilla. A great scent for spring/summer time.

powdery, cosmetics-like on the first sniff after spraying on the tester. plum, violet, white floral and a bit leathery (probably from nutmeg as claimed) on top. then it warms up with a trace of balmy sweetness, combined with floral (gardenia and rose), creates a sexy olfactive sweetheart.

Amo demais este perfume!!! Sinto-me poderosa e uma explosão de alegria ao usá-lo! Fixa demais e deixa rastro!
