Thank you Dora Baghriche for creating this whimsical timeless fragrance. I absolutely L♥V E! L ♥VE ! L♥VE ! I love white flowers so much and having peony in it makes it so delicate!. ....What a incredible experience I had with this one... opening the shiny fuchsia box that is absolutely breathtaking was just one perk. It's beautiful 🌸🌷🌸 with the beautiful swan logo with Gloria Vanderbilt's gorgeous handwriting" signature". It is so very soft and feminine. This is not a toilette like the original yellow juice Vanderbilt though, this one is a parfum but the other one is stronger??!!. This is easily my new signature scent and it is really magical. The bottle is just absolutely stunning. I always loved swans. Its heavy clear glass with the signature swan design engraved in it like the original but it's the 🌷fuchsia magenta colour of this juice that has me captivated.This is my favorite bottle out of my entire collection. I'm surprised it took me this long to find it. Now let's talk about the warm but fruity, white flower bubble gummy soft but also lush scent of this perfume. It is airy and dewy and smells a tad like 💄 lipstick, its a little waxy. It is an exquisite perfume. It is youthful and fun but there is something very mature about it I think it's probably the flowers💐 that make this sent well-rounded. It is uplifting fragrance. It's a Powerhouse too and lasts a long time on my skin. I sprayed it 7 hours ago and it smells like I just sprayed it. The suede is probably what gives this scent a powdery "feel" to it. The sandalwood giving it warmth. I cannot believe that I got this off of eBay for less than $15. It a so pretty I will order another bottle right now before its discontinued. A great year round scent day or night it's very versatile even though the name means "Midnight" in French, this can be worn anytime day or night anytime of the year. If you haven't got this try it I think you'll really like it. Its so feminine and sexy too. I will always have a bottle in my collection. ♥ At first this reminds me of a a more "fruitier"? version of Kim Kardashian original perfume or even a tad like a fruity flowery Sand and Sable or FRACAS... Its the white flowers... so BUBBLEGUM timeless and clean.

Really pleased with this blind buy. The first time I sprayed it (in late winter), I thought it was nice, but maybe smelled a little cheap. Like just a hint. I let it sit several weeks and tried it again (in late spring); it’s lovely, and whatever had given the impression of cheapness was no longer there! It comes to life in warmer weather. It was reminding me of another fragrance: Wonderlust by Michael Kors. I smelled the nozzles of both bottles and they’re very similar; I’ll have to do a spray-and-drydown test, then update this review. But for now, I’d say if you like Wonderlust, you’re likely to enjoy Minuit à New York. One difference between the two that I can point to now, though, is the longevity. Wonderlust has exceptional longevity, while Minuit à New York is pretty fleeting on skin. On clothes, however, it performs pretty well, and projection is actually pretty impressive. It’s a fairly complex (but also fairly linear) floral composition. The hint of patchouli, which doesn’t stand out as a prominent note, gives it that bubblegummy rich sweetness, rounding off any sharp edges and steering it cleanly away from sour notes. But this is not a sweet perfume, per se (nothing like La Vie Est Belle or any of the celebrity/designer gourmands); it sits among the more mature, base-y florals like Wonderlust, L’Interdit, My Way, Dior Joy Intense, etc. For the price, this is such good value. I have pricier perfumes that smell cheaper, and/or have similar performance issues. It’s a safe blind buy at its price point, and is pretty enough both in appearance and fragrance that it’s easily re/giftable, too.

What a fantastic cheap find! Honestly, this smells way more expensive than it is, and it is very modern of the current sweet/floral styles of now, even though it launched in 2015. I get the subtly spicey lily and pink peony, so much so that I wonder if there is a pink pepper note, along with the pink bubble gummy tuberose and creamy gardenia in the floral part. There's then an adoringly sweet amberwoods that comes through in the base, along with what I belive is the hyacinth note, which turns the pink scent to purple. This floral note is light and airy, dewy and, at times, jammy (as it mingles with the bubblegum note in the background). It really works and I wish this stage lasted a bit longer. I finally get a little bit of patchouli on the dry down, but mainly this stays pretty pink/purple florals and all sweetness to my nose. I think as it dries down even more it goes a bit flat on my skin, losing its initial sparkle and body somewhat. However, it continues to be very wearable and beautiful. Really, with the cheap price, I have no issues reapplying it when needed and I get a real sense of joy every time I do. This is a very happy scent that I'm glad I took a gamble on. Highly recomend it to anyone who likes these notes and a pink girly style perfume. Easily a safe blind buy!

Just got this blind buy ($10 US) and so far I quite like it. I've realized here on fragrantica (and IRL) that "cheap" is often a word ppl reach for when they simply don't like something. Well, there are budget paints and brushes and expensive paints and brushes, and in the end it's really the painter/artist that matters the most...same with perfumes in my opinion, at least the majority of the time. All that was to say that this perfume does *not* smell "cheap" and I bet if you put this sweet woody floral in a niche brand bottle that a lot of snoots would sing its praises. Beautiful and creamy soft tuberose/gardenia with wafts of suede and violet in the heart. Woody and amber drydown. Patchouli is not prominent IMO. Elusive whispers of Fracas and something else I can't put my finger on. Sweet. Not tropical. Longevity is medium to medium-low but not dismal. If you like tuberose perfumes you'll probably like this.

A blind buy based on the reviews here, and a good one! Initial impression: very flowery, creamy, warm, sultry, sweet but not to sweet. No fruit, which is good. Patchouli is not noticeable for me, sandalwood is. Friendly and certainly not girly, rather very feminine. A scent for mature women of all ages. Use in moderation, it is potent and long lasting. Seems right for Dutch autumn and winter, it is perhaps too heavy for summer. I have always disliked the original yellow Gloria Vanderbilt fragrance, fortunately this scent is nothing like it. I have the 100 ml, with a transparent bottle. The swan is nicely old-fashioned, but the spray cap looks cheapish and not very solid. Anyway, it is the juice that counts. And it does not smell like any other perfume I know of, which is a huge plus for me. Might be my new signature scent!

As soon as you spray, you smell the beautiful florals. it smells so much more expensive than it is. my roommates loved it so so so much that they couldn't stop smelling me. IT HAS FANTASTIC LONGEVITY TOO!!! skin: beautiful sillage of around 3 feet or so for a minimum of 4-5 hours and then dries down to a skin scent clothes: one spray on the clothes will stay for more than 8 hours. an excellent purchase for the price.

Wow this is a very nice parfume for a good price! If feel very chic when I wear this. It could be overwelming... But certainly NOT old fashioned like the basic Vanderbilt which one granny likes. I don't smell the (white) flowers nor something powdery... I smell sweet,warm woody vanilla and it's so good! I am very happy with my blind bought bargain ;)

Bought this for my mom. I expected to a bad scent. But it is actually pretty good. Projects very nicely and the scent in the air is very soft and smooth. Strong alcohol smell when you first spray it, but the dry down is very nice and sweet. It does smell very expensive. No cheap piercing smells, its very pleasing.

This starts strong in patchouli, suede and resins, then flowers starts to bloom, especially tuberose and peony and becomes more and more floral. I don't get any fruit and I like that, for me it's a woody-floral. Good sillage and longevity, so I'm pretty happy with this. And the bottle I think it's realy cute.

I'm surprised at the amount of negative comments on it! Honestly a lovely scent that I get many compliments on; indeed a cheap costing perfume and yet has such a long lasting rich scent. Makes me think a lot of the kind of smell that sleeping beauty would hold lulling, soft, expensive.

Beautiful like the original which is there ar the base however this is slightly spicy with a sort of sherbet smell or its a fizzy sweet drink but not sickly sweet. It is effervescent and long lasting with moderate sillage. If you like the original you may like this more.

WOW!! On me, this is full of violets!!! Gorgeous and powdery-sweet scent. Very good sillage and longevity (9 hours or more!!). A treasure for this price! 18€ 30ml bottle!!

Really reminds me of night time in Paris during my trip there in my university. It's mysterious and sensual - love it.

This is straight up bubblegum tuberose. This smells like a pink tuberose, which of course tuberoses are not pink, but it makes me ask. If tuberoses were pink, what would they smell like? They would smell like this. The dry down is a slight suede and amberwoods mixed w/ the bubblegum florals. Very pretty and what we call in the perfume world a great dumb reach year-round. Such a great value also, $10 and change for a 3.4 ounce. A steal! This is a nice perfume for any age. I'm 51 and feel comfortable wearing it and I think a teenager would like this as well. It has a timeless feel. And the bottles for the Vanderbilt perfumes are pretty. The Swan is such a classic symbol of femininity. Would look good on any vanity. Edit: 4/26/22 My baby sister flipped for this when I had her sample it so I gave my full bottle to her. I've been going through my collection and downsizing a bit. She will get to enjoy this a lot more than I could since I have to many perfumes now LOL. If you are looking for a pretty every day "pink" floral that is very economical Give Minuit a NY a try. Edit:5/18/22 Downsizing was a silly goal. I just added this back into my collection. It is super pretty and so inexpensive! Why not right?

This is a quite enjoyable, grounded floral. Sweet but not too sweet. A little earthy, but still a distinctly PINK scent. The color of the liquid is a good representation indeed! I like the fact that there is a feel of pink pepper here without the sharpness that the actual note of pink pepper can produce. Moderate projection and longevity. Smells expensive and appropriate for either work or pleasure - feminine yet complex enough to be of interest to those over 30. I think it would suit anyone from 18 to 80, however, provided they do not mind a little patchouli in their modern florals. Perhaps those who have worn or tested Far Away Infinity would be interested to know - despite the notes listed -Minuit smells to me a lighter, pink version of Infinity! I literally smell a touch of Marigold here, albeit lighter than in Infinity. I wore them side by side and there were distinct similarities - the same kind of sweet to earthy balance prevailed in each. Both are lovely bargains that smell far more expensive than they are. But if you like PINK scents, Minuit is your budget winner!

Bought this today, having dithered over it for some time. Glad I did. Absolutely terrific! More feminine than I usually wear (I lean closer to the middle of the male-female spectrum) but I like having this sort of thing on hand for girly moments. It will be especially fun to wear around the house when I'm by myself. For me the bubblegum accord is sliced through with something I can't identify but which is slightly - but pleasantly - sour. I like this effect very much because I'm not keen on the bubblegum facet of tuberose usually. I can't identify many of the individual notes, but the whole thing comes together as a very balanced and happy fragrance. A real mood lifter. You could easily adopt this as a signature and no-one would ever know you paid peanuts for it. If someone asks, keep it mysterious. 'Oh, just something I picked up somewhere, can't quite remember what it's called ...'. As if you put your hand on gorgeous little secret treasures like this all the time - that's how classy you are!

I really like this. It is a very wearable floral scent with an uppity vibe. Easygoing and content. On my skin it has a little spicy undertone in the drydown, which makes it interesting - I say it as somenone who does not like pink pepper in perfumes (cloves are ok). Even though I tried modern contemporary designer perfumes, they either do not appeal to me or if they do (Donna by Valentino, Bottega Veneta) they make me sick. Trust me, if I found something more expensive on the racks in perfume shops that I would love, I would buy it. There is beauty in simple things and no, I do not mind that people cant smell me from the other side of the hall :) If your skin cant deal with musk (especially in the drydown of perfumes) in a nice way, you are good to go with this one.

My body chemistry has changed this a bit from time to time. When I 1st smelled this, I liked the strong resinous note. It's kind of like a musk, but not the one that can turn funky. I got a bit of a powdery root beer scent out of it when it settled on my skin. It has gone from sorta sexy, to cheap strong old lady powdery musk, to blast of sweet peony. It's not that bad, but it doesn't wear as well as I thought it would on 1st smell. For the low price, if you're willing to see how it works on you, it's not a very high-risk buy. I'd just consider it a super casual fragrance when you low-key wanna smell fancy, but it's not really an occasion to wear your best stuff.

Smells like a peach Glade plug-in from the 90's. This is a regrettable blind-buy for me, after a huge success with Miss Vanderbilt. I'll hang onto this and test in warmer weather, but I'm not expecting that Glade odor to suddenly appeal to me. In high school 20 years ago, our library smelled like this. We called it Peaches-N'-Formeldahyde. I hope my feelings (or nose) change. Update: my feelings HAVE changed. Upgraded from dislike to a solid like. It can still be too much sometimes, but the white floral is perceptible to me now where it wasn't before. Has a vintage feel to me, a bit reminiscent of Red Door. Must love gardenia!

This is quite modern in my opinion, I like it a lot. I will wear it throughout the year, mostly in the spring and summer. I have many fragrances to wear in colder seasons, so I needed something like this pink bottle. The bottle is fun with a swan, a little bit tacky, but not too much, also cute. I wonder if there isn't any fruit in this, it ́s also a little peppery. I ́m not sure what to think about the original Vanderbilt, I don't own it (yes, it ́s a Grojsman, but still). This is very nice, my twenty-something daughter likes it too. I spray it on my clothes as usual to make it last longer.

UPDATE 25.06.2017: The parfume and I are now friends. It ́s very nice and comfortable. I wear it when I go to work, and got some compliments. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recived this in the mail today, and Im wearing it on my right wrist. I ́ve now been wearing it for 5 hours and i ́ve been cooking dinner and done the dishes by hand. And I can still smell it. It isn ́t bad at all, but I think it gonna take a little getting use to. I smell tuberose, hyacinth and a dab of suade. But all in all I think we ́re gonna be friends.

Big like. Unusual tuberose, with the gardenia creamy component and a woodsy depth. But I would add something slightly vintage, a little bit cold, making the scent interesting, classy, more like a true « parfum » than a realistic flower photocopy. It makes my feel different, as if I had a secret ingredient or, who knows, a secret weapon, in my wardrobe. The texture is clearly suede, a touchy sweet but discreet intimate note. A peach skin, a heart beating in the background of the elegant evidence.

tc1203 I agree that if you are a patch hater, you will like this! The base in this is very complex, it's not a single sweetened patch base like in most fruitchulies. The patch is hugged by beautiful woods and suede, distinguishing it from childish fruity scents. This kind of complexity is missing from most designer scents these days. The initial tuberose gives a chewing gum feel, similar with some sweet tuberose scents like L'interdit or Truth or Dare. Good blind buy for the price!

This is a must-to for a mature modern woman. This perfume makes me think of shopping malls and women shopping. I think of a woman wearing leather jacket or leather trousers and low-cut boots. This fragrance is very chic, sophisticated and modern. I'm someone who favours an old/vintage/granny life-style, so I don't think it suits me a lot. However, I still like this perfume and wear it when I have to go shopping for new clothes or anywhere that feels more modern to me.

One of my current favourits. I really like it a lot, a very affordable and versatile fragrance. For me it is a bit sweet at present (above 30 C), but usually the suede and patchuli notes keep the sweetness of the flowers at bay. I bought one for my mom as well, she also enjoys it. Projection is moderate, longevity is impressive especialy compared to certain mainstream fragrances, it is a mature scent but not granny-ish still kind of modern.

My third review: A medicinal first whiff (patchouli) yields to sweetened white florals. The amount of amberwood is so correct here; you can't smell it distinctly, but there is an overall woody warmth that is beautiful and modern. Wow. Not sure why I didn't appreciate this one before. I've tried hard to cozy up to ambrox, amberwood, and oud smells, this year, maybe that has changed my perception. Might change my rating from like to love.

Strong floral punch in the face scent at first, with a tiny bit of a chemical smell to it. I love it, it is fresh and pretty. I get nose blind to it very quickly but finacee complaint that it is way too strong and I shouldn't spray this much! For the price it is a gorgeous spring summer fresh and pretty floral scent. Haven't smell any of the perfumes in the reminds me of section so couldn't compare.

The pink color is very appropriate! Sweet bubblegum florals balanced with sandalwood and patchouli. The amberwood is soft and sweet, not too overwhelming. This is perfect for transitioning weather, either spring or autumn. Sillage is good too, about arms' length, and it's still very detectable. Lovely offering & very affordable.

Oh boy, the more i wear it the more I like it! Again, one of those old-fashioned, proper perfumes, it smells like perfume should smell like, grand big opening of flowers, then when it settles down a bit, a nice and cosy wrap of suede, patchouli and amber. I'm not a big fan of the original GV but this stuff is good! Well done :)

Its a bubble gum for me. Fantastic, fresh with bubble-gum tuberose, but not too tuberosy for those who do not like tuberose like me. And it is super dirty cheap and smells at least 5 times more expensive. it does not have any chemical smell, very natural and well blended.

Given the very affordable price, it's a remarkable scent, doesn't smell cheap at all. Tuberose and a mix of additional white flowers, suitable especially for spring. You can definitely feel the vibes of the 90s, but to me that's a plus.

I get tuberose and patchouli so strong. I hate patchouli note in perfumes but I enjoy it in this one. It grows on my skin. Floral, patchouli and bit powdery well blended. I like it !

Tuberose/amber goodness with a vanilla base. Lasts for 4-5 hours good for spring-fall-winter and nights out. Love at the first sniff. Very affordable too.

Opium vapeurs de parfum in another bottle...

The color of the bottle is very appropriate. The pink floral almost feels like mentholated bubblegum, sweet in a way that rounds it out without feeling candied. It's also got a very fresh green-ness to it. I would say this an uplifting scent, without being sharp at all. It flattens a bit too quickly though, not especially good longevity in terms of oomph. The dry down reminds me a little bit of Bella Rosa by Oscar de la Renta, but I much prefer minuit which is clearer and smoother. Price to value for this scent was really unbeatable, I paid under 6 euro for 100ml and it smells so much more expensive. Beyond longevity my only issue with Minuit a New York is that I don't reach for it that often. It's never off-putting for me, but for most occasions there's something else in my wardrobe that I'm more keen on. It Reminds me of Kenzo Flower L'elixir in that sense, they don't smell especially similar but I have the same attitude towards wearing them.

This smells identical to pink sugars pink flower. I think thats the name of it. Its the pink bottle with the flower top, flanker of pink sugar. Its also identical to another square pink bottle i own that is knock offs of michel germain. I cant remember the name but it has tease in it. So i now have 3 of these and im not into this at all cuz the patchouli ruins it for me, id rather it have musk in the dry down, then this would be a winner for me.

It's hot and humid and I decided to give this a spray since I never liked it in any other weather. Well it's a gorgeous floral now! And what's even better is I don't smell the gross patchouli! Much much better, it's now tolerable. It has that waxy smell you get in those yummy florals, which is probably coming from the toned down patch but it's working in this weather. I noticed hot weather drowns out patch 😁

not lasting at all, but sweet white flower perfume for everyday wear. Smells like something I would imagine the office in the 90s would smell like. Really an office perfume, smells like biraucracy and paperwork. Stil pretty good for the price, just no special character, literally a sweet wood-white flower perfume

I've never been so disappointed with any parfum, but this one is just pure water on my skin. It seems like nothing on me, nothing, and after smealing hundreds... I can't find any note, to like this blind-buy.The worst rated, the insecticide is much better than this called EDT. And after checking the production date is a super fresh one,les than 5 months out of the factory lines. The original is one of my favourite, Minuite a NY is a sad joke.

All I get is synthetic berries. Yet berries are not in the notes listed above. Very strong fragrance. So far, I do not like it. Maybe I will try it again in summer, as it is winter where I am at the moment.

Oh :( Was really hoping to enjoy this one - what with the darling pink bottle and all + my newfound love for white florals. This smells like a very dated toilet cleaner to me.

It's so weak compared to the original Vanderbilt ,it has no personality ,I can't barely smell it.Ha I was fooled by the lovely pink of the juice.

This was a fragrance that was sold for a limited time. She will always lose to the best seller that is the original and fist Vanderbilt fragrance. This is the Midnight Poison version of Vanderbilt. This is a scent of night blooming flowers. Midnight in New York? You don't want to know what 12AM in NYC smells like. This is more like midnight in a little flower bed in Central Park. The scent is big on patchouli so if you're familiar with patchouli and it's bad ass projection and aromatic smoky aspects you'd like this. I feel however that it's not as intense as other patchouli fragrances. The other big note on this frag is leather and suede. It smells very expensive and very much like realistic leather to the point that it turns into a man's cologne scent. But the peony and tuberose as well as hyacinth are keeping it feminine and sweet. Out of all the floral scents the hyacinth is the dominant note to my nose. But the others are clearly there especially gardenia and jasmine even a little violet. This is a really great fragrance of many facets. It's too bad it's no longer available anywhere. I'm glad I still have mine. And I wish midnight in New York smelled like this!

It reminds me on Alaia Paris (black bottle) with added white flowers at the opening and less powder and musk in the base. In Alaia you find 'mountain air' amongst the top notes, here there's hyacinth that gives a rather similar airy-aquatic accord. TUberose is certainly present in a bubble gummy way as mentioned by others but somehow I find it very abstract because every time I get whafts of it it is always blended with violets and the impression gets the colour of white with purple = dark pink? Just like the juice. Anyway, the good news is that while this doesn't smell like any natural flower it doesn't smell synthetic or medicinal or cheap either. If anything, I would say it pleases many people for the same reason, Alaia Paris does: it smells a bit of everything just as a perfume shop smells like when there are a few customers in there testing and spraying different fragrances from fresh florals to sweet ambers. I think most people who like fragrances like this mixed smell that suggests luxury and joy.

Ever feel like you want a comforting, non-challenging tuberose to wear on those knock around days when you have errands to do but no real plans? There are days when Fracas is too much, I don’t want to waste Carnal Flower and I’d rather not smell like a beach vacation. This is the perfect solution. The bottle is so cheesy that’s it’s actually cool in an ironic way. Best part is it is so, so cheap. So happy I blind bought this. Is this the best tuberose? No. But, as a tuberose devotee, I like to have many different flavors and moods of my favorite flower. I’ve tried several expensive tuberose perfumes that don’t smell as nice as this. In all seriousness, it’s not avant-garde but it’s really pretty and I will reach for it often on days when I can’t decide which tuberose to wear. Lovely!

Really enjoy everything about this perfume except for the dang dry-down. Again with what smells to me like that C14 Peach. Almost perfect for me, alas. Update: 1/30/23. Very acceptable, but also I find the way this tuberose combines with this patchouli is discordant. It's like she's saying, "I CAN have it all," but I personally am not convinced. Still, all in all, many people will enjoy this and rightly so. Still slightly intrigued, but releasing her to a new home. It's a very romantic fragrance--a soft, sweet floral. There is something here that acknowledges the original.

This is perfect floral juice as is. This and Jardin are great value by Dora Baghriche. The brief was NY penthouse and I do get an Art Deco black & white photo vibe, with silvery tones and the white flowers fresh from the hothouse of a North Shore guided age estate. Champagne cocktail with crème de violette. But I'm a dude and to thicken and deepen this fragrance is a joy. With essential oils, of resins or woods, to create Souk-worthy parfum. Pines are good - Magical Atlas Cedar oil with the woody honey, sweet animal, and the coolness. Or 1 spray of frankincense.

Nothing special, but you could do worse. The packaging is pink, the juice is pink ... it's a very "pink" fragrance. Sweet and floral with prominent peony (I would probably enjoy it more if the tuberose was more forward but despite the "main notes" listed above, I'm not getting much tuberose). It's dirt cheap though, so if you can find a bottle for a few £ or $ and you enjoy this kind of fragrance, then why not? Longevity seems to be quite good. Incidentally it's nothing like the original Vanderbilt. The only similarity is the shape and design of the bottle.

After reading Konga’s review of Gloria Vanderbilt I tried the classic Vanderbilt , which has been around thirty plus years and was overlooked by me . I was blown away by how pretty and long lasting it was. From that success I moved to Minuit in New York . I am also equally Impressed with it . Minuit smells a bit of vanilla, musk, and flowers to me . It lasts for many hours and has a nice modern smell . It is an absolute bargain , and I am amazed how much better these Vanderbilt scents compared to three Chanels that left me feeling swindled .
