Realism

This didn't do much for me. On first application it had a funky leathery note. I've smelled that note before in other indie/niche perfumes and I believe it's meant to convey something earthy and natural, but it smells more nature-adjacent to me. Like what someone who's never smelled rotting leaves might guess they smell like. It's not a terrible smell, just odd. Over the course of the first hour, that smell fades and I get a pleasant, if generic, fresh and sweet smell. It smells like calone, though that's not mentioned anywhere in the list of the notes. I really don't get anything green, floral, or natural at all. Trying it again on a cold, rainy day and even the sweet scent is muted, leaving me with the leathery-dirt scent from before. Finally, at the very end, an undercurrent of citrus pops up. It's a nice surprise as I'm more used to citrus as an opener. It's missing from the notes list here, but mentioned on Goest's site. Sillage is intimate, longevity was average at about five hours. Overall not bad, but not really impressive.

I don't consider myself picky about perfumes (I rarely love a scent, but I even more rarely hate one), but this was awful, and it's hard to describe why. It does smell "green," but not in any natural way. I gave it a few minutes to evolve, then washed it off as able with citrus soap.

I was expecting something more earthy and complex - perhaps akin to what you’d experience in a area of green terrain than just smelling like I just crushed some grass with my bare hands and whiffed my hands afterwards. Longevity was a whimper and it’s very much a close skin scent

this is really quite nice; it's not as bright as i was expecting it to be based on the grass notes. tiny bit of citrus, mostly just herbal goodness, but takes on a mineral quality in the dry-down. very low/non-existent projection, virtually a skin scent for the entire duration of wear

Grass and hay. Smells extremely baked, but not dry ... there’s a sense of moisture and evaporation like emerging from a pond
